Overview
This amazing France bike tour will have you road cycling in the region of Vosges mountains and along the French Wine Route. The mountains' surfaces are covered in deep forests, but also provide a variety of landscapes, including glacial lakes, deep valleys, waterfalls, and cliffs. Half-timbered houses, small canals, medieval towns, and countless castles are characteristic of this region whose culture is still steeped in tradition.
The Alsace is famous for its cuisine, both gourmet and traditional, and its wonderful wines. The Romans who introduced wine to the region recognized its beneficial position at the foot of the mountains, bathed in sunlight and protected from wind and rain. The region around Colmar is recognized as one of the sunniest in France!
