Blue Lagoon Riding Tour

This popular tour is an ideal combination where the Icelandic horse and the mystical Blue Lagoon play the major roles. A ride of 1½ - 2 hours is followed by lunch at Jósalir Restaurant at the Riding Centre. We drive to the fabulous Blue Lagoon where a swim in the mineral-rich water is well appreciated before heading back to Reykjavík.

Icelanders keep the bloodlines of their shaggly little equines pure by forbidding the import of others. Experts and novices alike enjoy riding in the Icelandic countryside on their famous breed of small, strong horses. The Icelandic Horse is a pure-bred descendant of the horses transported to Iceland by the Vikings over 1,100 years ago.
