The Flying Dutchman is a first class two-masted schooner. The expanse of its sails is 532 square yards which enables the boat to cover the distances between the islands in the Baltic Sea under sail. The Flying Dutchman was originally built in 1903 as a herring-lugger but was rebuilt in the winter of 2004. The front saloon in the deckhouse serves as a comfortable dining and day room and features upholstered benches for seating.
