Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss, Geysir

This tour combines 2 tours: the Blue Lagoon and Gullfoss & Geysir Express.

We'll begin with the Blue Lagoon, which is a unique geothermal spa where guests enjoy relaxing in the warm geothermal waters. The lagoon is surrounded by a magical lava field and black sandy beaches. The geothermal seawater is led directly to the Blue Lagoon from wells as deep as 2000 meters/6000 feet and the water stays warm and inviting at 36-39°C/100-110°F. An indoor Blue Lagoon and geothermal sauna are also on the site. The Lagoon's warm water and natural active ingredients; mineral salts, silica and blue-green algae help you relax and escape the stress and strain of daily life. The Lagoon's white silica mud gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin and has a revitalizing effect while the blue-green algae nourish and soften the skin. The mineral salts of the Lagoon balance and relax body and soul. Bathing here will truly be one of the highlights of your visit to Iceland!

After a delightful and relaxing bath, we will continue our trip to enjoy more of the best-known natural phenomena of this country. First, we will visit the National Park Þingvellir, a very interesting geological region. Then, we'll continue to the most significant historical site of the country, Alþingi, our parliament house. Next will be the impressive waterfall Gullfoss and the geothermal area Geysir. We will then proceed through the fertile agricultural areas of the southwestern lowlands and make a photo stop at an old explosion crater, Kerið. Our next visit will be to the greenhouse community of Hveragerði, where geothermal energy has been harnessed where growing vegetables, fruits and exotic plants are possible. After a short drive, we will be back in the capital, Reykjavík.
