The cycling and the boat Yolo exceeded my expectations. The boat was 5 stars. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very helpful.
The cycling on e bikes made it an enjoyable experience. It was hot and hilly so e bikes made it so much easier. There was plenty of time for sight seeing in the islands and there were plenty of swimming spots that were perfect

It was an amazing experience for an active individual. E-bike is the way to go. Early risers should pack Instant coffee.

Venice to Poreč

This tour was a big disappointment for me. Before you book read this review!
First of all, the itinerary: Days 1-4 are a waste of time. Don’t expect to see anything scenic or interesting for 4 days. First night/day 2 are in maestre, you may as well be in Akron Ohio. Boring, industrial, hotel is next to some car dealerships. Cycling begins with a trek through Maestre into Venice where you catch 2 ferries. BEWARE, ferry #2 takes max 4 bikes, as 28 lined up behind us to load only 4 every half hour. Some waited 3-4 hours to get on a ferry. Day 2 ends in Carole. What a dump. Cheap cheesy family destination for young families on limited budget, hotel smells of wet towels. The cycling is a grueling mix of relentless sunshine with nary a patch of shade, endless cornfields and gravel and dirt “roads”.
Did you want to see the Adriatic? You will have to wait, cornfields, and bumpy gravel roads await you. Occasionally we passed through some of the most unremarkable Read More

Most memorable were the seaside and inland bicycle and leisure experiences: swimming the Adriatic was a surprise along with the picturesque medieval coastal cities and medieval hilltop towns. All in the company of fun staff and other bikers, despite the fact that there were only 2 of us from the US. Almost everyone on board spoke English. Mid-June was a great time to go, with lovely green vineyards and olive groves, lots of blooming flowers, more moderate air temperatures with refreshing water temperatures for swimming. E- bikes made the otherwise challenging uphills easy.

Staff were really good!
Boat was really good!
We loved the journey!
From the website and any tour information we were not aware that there was a mountain bike and mountain biking option on this tour. There is a brief mention that a person could ask for a mountain bike BUT there is mo mention that mountain biking is offered. We would have chosen this option.

We took an extension tour. The saving grace of this extension were the guides. The tours were very good and the pipe organ concert a sir oak treat. However this tour had a considerable amount of “downtime”. Our excellent transportation dropped us off early so we had to wait for our room in Tracoscan where there wasn’t a lot of options for things to do. Our tour of castle was to occur 6 hours later! The next day we had a considerable downtime before our 6:15 pm city guided tour was to begin as well. Our suggestion is to put these two tours in one day.

We did have a transportation issue but this was resolved by the attentive staff. We appreciated the responsiveness!!

Dalmatian Coast from Split to Dubrovnik
Croatia

Everything went exactly as planned. We saw parts of Croatia that we would have never experienced without this sort of trip. And we were the only ones on the trails we were walking on. The accommodations were just perfect and in great locations. The hotel in Hvar was exceptional. We left our water bottles in the refrigerator and they were great enough to put them on the catamaran to have them delivered to us on Korcula the next day. Amazing! Our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived and all transportation tickets were spot on. We did get a GPS and would recommend that. Used an app called Ride with GPS. This was a good, but unfortunately, after 3 days, we lost "My Events", which gave us access to the specific days' hikes. I would also recommend that you have the person who gives the orientation spend a little time with this app. There were times we were using the paper instructions, the APP and GPS, all at the same time. Adventure around every corner. Perfect layout, distances, travel plan, timing, and lodging details. Early June was the perfect time to enjoy this beautiful combination of coastal and mountainous terrain.

You definitely get to experience the beautiful country of Croatia on this bike & boat tour! The boat drops you off at one end of an island and you and your group bike up and over to the other side, where the boat meets you. I would strongly recommend an ebike… some says the elevation and distance was quite high. We had a lower cabin that was very spacious with two beds but only has a small (and I mean small!) porthole you can’t see out of. It doesn’t really matter because you don’t have WiFi or television in your rooms. This is nice because it makes passengers gather in the common decks! The food was fair… they did their best to accommodate people’s dietary preferences. Our cabin was not clean when we arrived or cleaned during our trip. They only make your beds and change towels once. Our guide, Cresco, was passionate about his country and biking. He arranged optional lunches and wine, cheese and olive tastings with local establishments. The only thing that can be bothersome is how many people smoke in Croatia.

One of my most memorable moments on the trip was dropping the anchor in the Adriatic Sea and swimming in the beautiful blue water. Also biking over 100 miles on 6 different gorgeous island was truly a priceless experience. It was truly an amazing experience for me and my 18 year old daughter.

I was worried about motion sickness on the boat and never once did I fell sick.

Guides Mirta & Kristofer were terrific and flexible. Angelina our cook served up meal after meal of tasty food & plenty of it. The bicycling was very scenic.
I would opt for an above deck cabin though, well worth the extra cost.

The combination of an outstanding yacht and crew with the beautiful and informative bike rides far surpassed our expectations! We had never done a bike tour and will definitely book another trip. The guides, Ivan and Mario were so informative and attentive. They went out of their way to assure we had a wonderful time. I believe Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves natural beauty and enjoys learning history. FANTASTIC!

What a wonderful trip! From first class travel on the YOLO, a friendly, welcoming group of fellow travelers and YOLO staff, to beautiful Croatia and the Croatian people. Our guides were top notch, helpful, friendly professionals who took excellent care of our group. They went out of their way to make our trip safe and extraordinary!

Seeing the beautiful scenery and riding bikes through it! We loved the trip overall. Suggestions for others - there are many smokers in Croatia - if you are sensitive it will be a problem. The rooms on the boat are generally small - pack light ! Make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap - this is not provided. If you are a light sleeper the bottom of the boat is quieter and cooler - we slept on the main deck and people were up late talking and laughing, lights shown in the the cabin from the other boats stack parked along side us, and the air conditioner was not very good at keeping the room cool at night. The water is generally smooth for the trips between the islands - hardly ever needed Dramamine. There is no holder on the bikes for a water bottle - must be carried in a pack on the back of the bike.

Really nice trip -- other than the rain and lousy visibility. We loved the ship -- had a cabin above the deck. Food was very good. The crew and guides were great. They worked their tails off to make the trip fun and keep us riding each day. We had rain most days which is very unusual for this time of the year -- May. The visibility was bad as well. So views from high in the mountains down on the sparkling sea were non-existent most days. Wind warnings kept us from sailing one day. Hats off to our guides who still found rides for us that were safe and fulfilling. They also found things to do like a dinner at a local home one night. We stayed a few extra days in Dubrovnik and Split and that was well worth it.

The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and fun. Due to the rain our trip had several changes in itinerary. The guides worked very hard to give us as much biking experiences as possible. I was very grateful to have an E bike, and that all members of the tour were on E! bikes. The food on the boat was delicious and our rooms very comfortable. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Croatia is a very beautiful country that reminded me of Greece. Touring the various islands with bikes was exciting and filled with stunning landscapes and seascapes.
This is a place that would be great to come back to again!

the beauty of Croatia was stunning . Everything about the trip was simple and very basic in all of its beauty. The fact we had good weather made all the difference because had it been all rainy it would have made things a lot less enjoyable . Outstanding crew both the 4 guides and the inside crew. They could not have been better !

Riding the bikes along the sea. Our guide Ivan was the best guide we have ever had. He was curios, informative, good English, safety conscious, and extremely helpful planning sights to see and visit for the remainder of our trip.

The cycling, food, and service by ship’s staff were all great! We had the good fortune to meet some very interesting and fun people from Canada and Scotland, attended a couple very good concerts in both Vienna and Prague, and basically saw a part of Europe we never thought we’d see. Budapest, Vienna, Prague were all very interesting, and beautiful cities, and our guide, Thomas, made it all even better! Juergen, the cruise director, was very helpful, as well, finding us when we lost our group at one point and getting us back to the ship. Between Thomas and Juergen, we were able to sample a lot of good food while on the bike rides, and they provided great company at dinner, as well. I believe Thomas ate with us nearly every evening.

A couple notes: 1) I brought pick-pocket proof pants, as I’d heard that we needed to be careful. I didn’t really need them. Probably a better purchase if you’re visiting Paris and/or Barcelona. 2). The 3rd level Read More

Istria to the Adriatic Tour
We are now back from our September biking trip and wanted to take this opportunity to our wonderful guide Andrej, you, and everyone else involved in planning this tour. We had the best time and for us, it was an experience of a lifetime. While we are active boomers, we are not bike ridders and didn’t have a total idea of what to expect. The tour met and went above our expectations. When Andrej asked what the highlight of our trip had been, all I could say was that everything in the tour was a favorite and special. From biking the beautiful coast and country side, to stopping at local roadside cafes for refreshment breaks, to visiting historic and quaint medieval villages and towns, it just didn’t get better than that. Our group was small and intimate and much fun. We managed on the many different terrains, some which we found to be more challenging than others. The highway rides were scary, but all part of the adventure. The food was excellent, wine and hotel rooms, all terrific.

Continued success and again many thanks!

I wish the group leader an responsible for eight people signing up for this trip. Guides were good, response from trip site was horrible when our bags did not arrive another party that we had signed up also did not have their bags arrive. Very disappointing with no bike clothes no pet it shorts no pedals etc.

Melody Southern Dalmatia E-Bike & Boat
Croatia

Our boat, the Melody had a luxurious feel with very spacious rooms. The captain and crew were all gracious and helpful, Carla's smiles always bountiful. Our guides, Dora and Tara were fabulous, warm and knowledgeable. Dora is quite articulate and provided us with a lovely tour of Split. The weather was amazing and each swim stop most enjoyable. The waters of the Adriatic Sea are incredibly blue and clear. We were sorry we didn't participate in the rafting trip on Split, as those that did spoke highly of the adventure. The wine tasting at Vinarija Lipanović on the island of Vis was lovely, very good wine and food. Our visit to the beekeeper, Goran, on the island of Solta was also a real treat, prompting us to seek out our own local beekeeper at home. Since we were on the 2nd to last tour of the season, we were able to enjoy the quieter side of the roads, cafe stops, ports and sights.

If I could offer one suggestion; it would be to have stronger coffee on board the boat in the morning.
