| Time of Travel: |

| Travel: |
Fly to Reykjavík (a stopover for flights to and from Europe with Icelandair). We recommend the Hot Stop on the return leg of your trip to allow more time for the activities and to help offset jet lag. For more details on how we arrange airfare with our tours, please visit our airfare page. |
| Local Travel: |
Transfer from Iceland's Keflavík International Airport to your hotel or Guesthouse by bus (bus vouchers included). |
| Difficulty: |
Generally easy as the tours are meant for beginners, although it depends on your chosen activity. For instance, hiking would involve traveling over rough surfaces, including moraines and lava fields as there are few proper hiking paths. All specialist equipment is included for all the tours we offer, thus it is only required that you bring yourself and an adventurous attitude. |
| Climate: |
During the summer months (from mid-May to mid-Sept) temperatures can vary from 32° to 68° F, so multiple layers of clothing are very much recommended. The weather in Iceland is extremely versatile. There's an old saying Icelanders have, which is: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." :-) |
| Accommodations: |
Hotel accommodations can be arranged within the center of Reykjavík or (for a cheaper option) 10- or 20-min. outside the city center, such as in Guesthouse Borgartún. |
| Extra Stay: |
Additional nights are readily available by request. |
| Recommended: |
Proper rain gear and also a swimsuit and towel will come in handy for the many naturally-heated outdoor swimming pools and hot springs, such as the Blue Lagoon. Binoculars are useful for bird- and whale-watching; and sturdy boots for hiking. |
