Sir Robert Baden Powell

Comfort Class Boat

Spain

The Sir Baden Powell is a two masted sailing vessel built in Magdeburg in 1957 as the tugboat Robert. Captain Boerner recognized that the solid hull and advantageous lines predestined the tugboat for conversion into a sailing ship. This topscale schooner manifests not only sailing elegance but is also appreciated for her excellent maneuvering capabilities. If you have always wanted to find out what it really feels like to steer a schooner and how to point her straight into the wind, then the “Sir Robert” is the right ship for you – because here everybody gets a turn at the rudder! The skipper and the helmsman are more than willing to answer any special questions you might have on sailing and navigation and will even teach you a thing or two about sailing.
