Day 1: Arrival in Rotterdam | Rotterdam - Dordrecht
Individual arrival in Rotterdam. Embarkation at about 4:00 pm. You may have some time left to see Rotterdam’s stunning Market Hall. The Dutch refer to it as their version of the "Sistine Chapel“. At 6:00 pm, the boat navigates to Holland’s oldest town, Dordrecht, impressively located on an island between three wide rivers.Day 2: Dordrecht - Willemstad | Willemstad - Hellevoetsluis, 28 mi. (45 km)
In the morning, set sail for Willemstad, a small fortified town dating from the 17th/18th century, which is well worth visiting. Here start for your first cycle tour. Cross the inland waters of Haringvliet over the Volkerakdam, and cycle through fields and past storybook villages like Zwartsluis and Goudswaard to the popular water sports center of Hellevoetsluis.Day 3: Hellevoetsluis - Bruinisse, 28 mi. (45 km)
During good swimming weather, before you begin to cycle, it is well worth it to take a detour to the bathing beach of Rockanje, a wide fine sand beach with marvelous dunes. Once on the bike, you will cross the Haringvliet again, passing through small villages like Stellendam with the mill Korenlust, the small water sport village of Herkingen. Continuing along the Grevelingendam, you reach the mussel village of Bruinisse.
Day 4: Bruinisse - Middelburg, 34 mi. (54 km)
Today you cycle to the small town of Zierikzee, which is among the 10 most beautiful Dutch national heritage towns. Once a rich trading city, it has a beautiful port and lots of monuments. The "fat tower" rises high above the town. The top of the tower offers marvelous views over the town, the harbor, and the island. You cross the Zeeland Bridge to Middelburg, the capital of the province of Zeeland. Once the second most important city in the Netherlands after Amsterdam, Middleburg is a town full of history. Numerous shops and cafes are waiting to be discovered.Day 5: Middelburg - Veere | Middelburg - Neeltje Jans - Veere, 22 mi. (35 km)
The destination for today’s cycle tour is Neeltje Jans. The former working island was created by raising a sand flat to facilitate the construction of the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier, the most impressive construction of the Delta Works. You will have the possibility not only to marvel at the locks from up close but also from the inside. Afterward, continue the cycle tour to Veere, a beautiful holiday seaside town, where once deeply loaded Scottish ships landed.Day 6: Veere | Veere - Dordrecht, 25 mi. (40 km)
You will have another opportunity to enjoy the picturesque, typically Dutch landscape on the Peninsula Walcheren around the lively tourist towns of Veere and Middelburg. Nowhere in the Netherlands does the sunshine as often and long as on Walcheren. Alternatively, you can do one of yesterday's cycling toursDay 7: Dordrecht - Rotterdam, 25 mi. (40 km)
On your last stretch, explore the best-known windmills in the Netherlands at Kinderdijk. The 19 windmills, which date back to the 18th century, are beautifully preserved and are listed as UNESCO World Heritage site. The windmills are well worth a visit! Follow the route along the Maas River up to Rotterdam, one of the largest ports in the worldDay 8: Departure from Rotterdam

Important to know
Documents
Before you travel, please check the passport and visa requirements of the country/countries you plan to visit. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have proper identification. For US citizens, the U.S. Passports & International Travel website is a good source of information. The Country Information tab provides details about passport validity, blank passport pages required, etc. It is important to research before you travel as airlines will not permit boarding if you do not have the required valid documents.
We recommend that you make copies of your important documents and papers (insurance cards, etc.). Leave a copy at home and have a copy with you. In the unfortunate situation that you lose your original documents, having copies facilitates the replacement process.
*Important note: Please check on the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) status as once implemented, this will be required to visit any of the 26 Schengen-member countries for tourism, business, medical, or transit. This is an additional check on security rather than a visa.
