As you pedal from the capital of South Tyrol to the festival city of Verona, you mainly follow a flat route along the Adige River, through bountiful orchards, unique mountain scenery, and on to towns with timeless culture.
In Bolzano, you can visit the Ötzi museum where you can see the incredible Iceman, one of the world's oldest mummies. Marvel at the beautiful frescoes of the Trento Cathedral (Duomo di San Vigilio) which was built from the 13th to the 15th-century.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bolzano
Day 2: Bolzano - Trento, 40/44 mi. (65/70 km)
Day 3: Trento - Desenzano/Peschiera, 31 mi. (50 km) + ferry
Day 4: Desenzano/Peschiera - Verona, 22/37 mi. (35/60 km)

Day 1: Arrival in Bolzano
Arrival in Bolzano, a famous commercial and tourist center, and also a historical and cultural connection between the Italian and the German world. Bolzano is called "The Door to the Dolomites" or "Gateway to the Dolomites" for good reason. Part of the UNESCO world heritage list since 2009, the Dolomites region in Italy features some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes anywhere.Day 2: Bolzano - Trento, 40/45 mi. (65/70 km)
Today you will ride mostly along the Adige River, through orchards and vineyards passing through Ora, Egna, and Salorno, the linguistic border between the German and Italian worlds, and finally arriving at Trento. It is possible to shorten the stage by taking the train. It is possible to shorten the stage by taking the train in several train stations along the way.Elevation gain: 30 / 250 m
Day 3: Trento - Desenzano/Peschiera, 31 mi. (50 km) + ferry
Cycling along the Adige, you reach Rovereto, known for its museum of modern and contemporary art. From here, cycle westwards towards Lake Garda. After a short ascent, a refreshing descent will lead you to Torbole and to Riva. The ferry cruise takes you to the southern part of the lake.In case of strike, bad weather conditions, technical breakdowns, safety problems, or any other reason preventing the regular departure of the ferry boat (from Riva del Garda to Peschiera/Desenzano), the ferry boat company can delay, cancel or deviate the navigation without notice. In case of cancellation, the ferry boat service will be replaced by alternative means of transport (usually by bus). The same applies if the ferry boat service is no longer available (for example at the end of the season).

Day 4: Desenzano/Peschiera - Verona, 22/37 mi. (35/60 km)
Today, you head to Verona, cycling along the Adige. Verona is one of the most important and beautiful cities in the Veneto region. Worth visiting are the Roman Arena, the Church of San Zeno, and Juliet’s House.Elevation gain: 140 / 260 m

Skill Level — Easy–Moderate
This is an easy to moderate self-guided bike tour with average daily distances between 35 and 70 km. The route is mostly flat on bike paths and quiet side roads. 95% tarmac and 5% unpaved roads. There are a few hilly sections on days 2 and 3. This tour is also suitable for children. It is possible to shorten the route by taking a train on days 2 and 3.

Bolzano is well connected with Verona (VRN) Innsbruck (INN), and Venice (VCE) Airports.
Local Travel
Train to Bolzano from Innsbruck Airport (2 hrs); from Verona Airport (1½ hrs); or from Venice Airport (3½ hrs).
