This is a moderate to difficult road-bike tour, it is recommended to be at a good level of fitness to enjoy the tour fully. Among the several climbs, you will encounter 2-3 big passes all at about 2000 m above sea level.

Jasper to Banff Map

Itinerary for 5 Days/4 Nights:
Day 1: Arrival to Edmonton/Jasper
Day 1: Edmonton - Jasper - Sunwapta Falls, 35 miles (56 km)
Day 2: Sunwapta Falls - Saskatchewan River Crossing, 61 miles (98 km)
Day 3: Saskatchewan River Crossing - Lake Louise, 52 miles (83 km)
Day 4: Lake Louise - Banff, 37 miles (60 km)

Day 1: Arrival to Edmonton/Jasper
Upon arrival to Edmonton, you will be transfer from Edmonton International Airport to your first hotel. 

Day 2: Drive from Edmonton - Jasper Park Gates, ride to Sunwapta Falls, 35 miles (56 km)
You will be picked you up at your hotel in Edmonton at around 8am and drive 3 hrs to Jasper National Park.  The bikes will be unloaded just inside the Jasper park gates and you’ll ride 35 miles to Sunwapta Falls. This relaxing introduction will warm you up nicely for the longer and more challenging 2nd and 3rd days ahead. A 3-course meal will be served at the onsite restaurant. 
Non rider activities: Explore the nearby falls and venture along the many hiking paths that follow the river

Day 3: Sunwapta Falls - Saskatchewan River Crossing, 62 miles (98 km)
Breakfast will be served at the onsite restaurant then it's time for the 62 mile ride past Tangle Falls, Columbia Icefields up over Sunwapta Pass (2050 m above sea level) down around the big bend past the weeping wall to Saskatchewan River Crossing hotel where you will stay the night. There will be a few rest stops set up along the way to break up the day and to bring the group back together if necessary. Dinner for everyone will be at the onsite restaurant. Total climbing for the day is 1051 m, with 1001 m of descent.
Non rider activities: Hikes between Sunwapta falls and Saskatchewan River Crossing, Columbia Icefields (sky walk, glacier bus tour) 

Day 4: Saskatchewan River Crossing - Lake Louise via Moraine Lake, 53 miles (85 km)
After fuelling up at breakfast you’ll climb out of the valley in the shadow of Mount Murchison. Shortly after, the terrain levels off again and you’ll cruise easily past endlessly changing vistas of mountains, turquoise green Glacial Lakes and abundant wildlife. Bow Pass, the final challenge of the tour awaits – but feel free to take it at your own
pace. Your reward will be witnessing a panoramic view like no other of Peyto Lake far below; in the distance, the valley that you’ve been riding down for the past few days can be seen in all its glory, surrounded by mountains as far as the eye can see. You’ll descend to the shores of Bow Lake for a well-deserved lunch break in a breathtaking setting before we essentially roll downhill all the way to Lake Louise. 
Non rider activities: Hikes between Saskatchewan River Crossing and Lake Louise, Mistaya Canyon, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake / Falls, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake. 

Day 5: Lake Louise - Banff/Canmore, 37 - 53 miles (60-85 km)
You’ll pedal the final 60km on gently rolling hills and flats towards Banff on the historic Bow Valley Parkway. Shaded by ancient trees, this final leg of the tour offers plenty of time for peaceful reflection in lush surroundings. We’ll take a rest break under the awesome Castle Mountain before joining a bike path that brings us into the world-class town of Banff. You'll be able to take in all the magnificence of Banff's surroundings including Mt Rundle, Cascade Mountain and Vermilion Lakes from the peace and quiet of your bike. From here, you’ll have the option of finishing the cycling portion of the tour or continuing to challenge yourself by riding an additional 25km on a dedicated bike path to Canmore. We’ll have a group lunch to celebrate your fantastic achievement of riding a bike through Canada’s Rockies! Transfer included back to Calgary or Edmonton.

Day 1: Edmonton and transfer to Jasper Park Gates
Day 2: Round trip Maligne Lake or Jasper activities, 58 miles (94 km)
Day 3: Jasper - Sunwapta Falls, 35 miles (56 km)
Day 4: Sunwapta Falls to Saskatchewan River Crossing, 62 miles (98 km)
Day 5: Saskatchewan River Crossing to Lake Louise, 53 miles (85 km)
Day 6: Lake Louise to Canmore, 60 miles (100 km)
