Overview
This two hour tuk tuk tour encapsulates all the spirit and beauty of sensational Seville, covering all the key sightseeing spots this exquisite city has to offer in a mode of transport as quirky as it is comfortable. See all of Seville, from the San Telmo Palace to the Seville Expo ‘92, exploring enthralling neighborhoods, alluring architecture, and peaceful urban oases as your electric tuk tuk follows its expertly-designed route.
Your family-friendly tuk tuk tour kicks off in the neighborhood of Triana with a visit to the beautiful Triana Bridge, also known as the Puente de Isabel II and constructed entirely of stone and iron pillars without the use of wood. On April 13th 1976, Triana Bridge was declared a National Historic Monument.
Your electric tuk tuk tour will continue to the spellbinding San Telmo Palace, an exquisite and elaborate architectural edifice that is now the presidential seat for the Andalusian Autonomous Government. Built in the bedazzling Baroque style, the Palacio de San Telmo is guaranteed to take your breath away.
Ride on to the Royal Tobacco Factory, an exquisite 18th-century stone building that now proudly stands as part of the University of Seville. At the time of its building in the 1700s, the factory was the second-largest building in all of Spain and still stands as one of the most attractive examples of industrial architecture from the era of Spain’s Antiguo Régimen.
Just nearby is Seville’s remarkable Royal Palace, once the site of the city’s Islamic-era citadel. The Royal Alcázar of Seville, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a palace of diverse architectural elements borrowing from Mudéjar, Gothic, and Renaissance styles. The upper floors are still used by the royal family to this day during their visits to Seville.
Sail onwards to Plaza de España ("Spain Square"), a simply sublime plaza in the Maria Luisa Park. An absolute must-see sightseeing spot in Seville, Plaza de España is a treasure trove of astoundingly beautiful architectural masterpieces in the Regionalist style, effortlessly combining elements of Baroque Revival, Renaissance Revival, and Moorish Revival. It is, quite simply, a feast for the eyes.
The second of the squares explored on your exciting tuk tuk tour is America Square, also located in the magnificent Maria Luisa Park. Here, you’ll feel the bustle of the city growing a little more distant as you’re enveloped in the tranquil atmosphere created by the palaces, Royal Pavilion, and lake.
Journey onwards to the Paseo de Cristóbal Colón, a riverside avenue offering romantic views of the Triana Bridge, authentic Andalusian houses with wrought iron balconies, and an enticing row of traditional eateries. Then, glide onwards to the Tower of Gold, a dodecagonal military watchtower that served as a prison during the Middle Ages and stands at 36 meters tall.
Ride onwards to Real Maestranza, a 12,000-capacity bullring known for hosting one of the most well-known bullfighting festivals in the world during the Seville Fair. The Royal Bullring is one of the most visited landmarks in Seville and is historically one of the most legendary arenas in the world of bullfighting. Built in the Baroque style, the Real Maestranza never fails to impress all those who regard its immense scale and beauty.
Your tuk tuk tour continues onwards to La Cartuja Monastery, an incredible monastery that now houses the Andalusian Contemporary Art Center on the Isla de La Cartuja. Then, it’s onwards to the Seville Expo ‘92 to discover the grand pavilions on the Lago de España. This is where the universal exposition following the theme ‘The Age of Discovery’ was held in honor of the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus reaching the Americas from the port of Seville.
Your enthralling electric tuk tuk tour makes its way onwards to Macarena, a vibrant neighborhood of the city known for its trendy, boho atmosphere, hip vintage culture, and the Mercado de la Feria market hall, famous for serving up scrumptious paella and croquettes. Make a note to spend an evening in Macarena after your tour to explore the exquisite seafood eateries and tapas bars that keep this district buzzing even after dark.
