Climate
Nicaragua has a tropical climate with two distinct seasons: a wet and a dry season. The wet season in this region generally lasts from May to October while the dry season is from November to April. Generally speaking, the dry season is the most popular time for a birding tour in Nicaragua not only because there is less rain but also because the temperatures are cooler. The hottest months are March, April, and May when temperatures can be in the high 80s to low 90s (32°C to 34°C).
