Portugal’s Vicentine Coast & Algarve
Portugal

We had a fantastic trip. Riding along the coast of southern Portugal was absolutely breathtaking. The route was clear and the app and GPS made navigating a breeze. We felt fully supported by Tripsite when two members of our group got sick and needed to take the day off riding. Tripsite made sure we had transportation and checked in to make sure we were satisfied. The route was at times challenging for us, a group of 60+ year olds, but it was enjoyable. Many days the rides were more like mountain biking than street biking. The bikes we were given were more than adequate for the task but there were some rough patches of sand, gravel, steep ups and downs that made the adventure challenging a bit beyond what we had expected. Overall, we absolutely loved the trip and look forward to another Tripsite supported adventure in the future!

White Villages of Andalucía

This is in the top of the bike tours I've taken. We had a party of 8 and the local tour operator worked with us to make it happen (we've done a previous tour with this operator and they are top notch). One issue we have, my wife is short so finding a bike that fits her is a challenge, they came through 100% for us. The operator moves your luggage daily and provides assistance should you need it, they were great. Unless you are a strong biker I recommend an E-bike for this tour so you can concentrate on the many great sites.
The tour takes you to some of the top locations in Andalusia. We were picked up in Málaga and taken by van to Ronda for our first hotel. However, before you go to Málaga for the rendezvous take some time to tour some of the UNESCO sites in Spain, they seem to have more than any other country. Our hotels were wonderful and of Parador quality. You start in Rhonda which is famous for the bridges that span the canyon, the largest Read More

Along the North Sea - a Tulip Tour
Netherlands

Visiting Keukenhof gardens and witnessing the beauty of spring and the indescribable varieties of tulips and artistry of the flower beds. Experiencing while bike riding the endless flow of the fields of tulips that will suddenly appear in front me.

Tip: use public transportation, avoid private cars or rentals, all locations are reachable on public transport just use Google maps

Segovia’s Medieval Villages
Spain

The medieval towns of Pedraza and Sepúlveda were wonderful. The Duratón River Gorge and Ermita de San Frutos.

It was great to stay for 2 nights in each hotel. Breakfasts were just continental (i.e. no cooked eggs). For a cycling tour it would be nice to have some more protein!

Segovia’s Medieval Villages
Spain

Tour was amazing, cycling was the right distance to enjoy each village. Accommodations were basic and quaint. I would recommend purchasing train tickets from Madrid to Segovia ahead of time, we went to the train station the day of travel and there were not many options and the price was 40 euros, not 11.

Danube Bike Path - Passau to Vienna
Germany, Austria

Staying at the Renaissance Raffelsberger Hof was amazing. Hearing about the history of the home turned hotel was interesting. The other memory is of an Austrian band playing in the restaurant at Gasthof zur Traube in Grein. Lastly, the Hotel Widhof left a lot to be desired!! The “sister hotel” Hotel Nibelungenhof looked much nicer and more convenient.

Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour
Belgium, Netherlands

I loved the scenic routes through multiple towns every day. Take some time to stop and walk around in some of the along the way each day. The hotel accommodations far exceeded my expectations. They were all fantastic and in great locations. The staff at each were very helpful.

Be prepared for any weather. The weather can be unpredictable, so it's better to be prepared for anything!

Bolzano to Venice
Italy

Day One Bolzano to Trento, hilly wine route, was excellent.
All routes are ( with very few exceptions) paved and in good shape.
Most difficult was navigating into and through large cities.
The night at the Terme was wonderful!
And finally, we would have preferred to be located in 3 star hotels in more central zones of Verona and Vicenza.
We added the 2 extra nights at end of trip in Mestre, which afforded easy bus access to Venice.

Loire Valley - Orléans to Tours
France

Scenic ride along the Loire using quality bikes. Overall accommodations were comfortable enough, and breakfast were adequate but basic.
Looking back, I wish we had downloaded the Road to Discovery App beforehand, as we were tired after travelling down to France and it would have been more seamless if we'd have had all road info in front of us.

Amsterdam to Bruges Bike Tour
Netherlands, Belgium

My husband and I chose a bike trip from Amsterdam to Bruges in September 2023 for our Honeymoon! We had an absolutely fabulous time! Each hotel was delightful, breakfasts were fantastic! We were happy with our bikes, and the bike storage that was provided was ideal. We couldn't have been happier with our route, and each town along the way. We prepared for picnics each day, and that offered a nice rest in a beautiful place, giving us the energy to head to the next stop. We felt that we had time to explore and see the sites, and also relax as we went along. Make sure to get the GPS! Highly recommend, and hope to do something again in the future.

Costa Rica Bike Tour & Adventure
Costa Rica

Great chance for our 8-person group to celebrate time together and explore Monteverde, Arenal and the Guanacaste Coast!
Tripsite helped us update their usual itinerary to fit our goals. Once in Costa Rica, every driver was prompt and every guide was helpful.
Well-informed guides helped us see many unique native birds and animals and understand the regions we visited.
The hotels near Arenal and the beach offered particularly good restaurants and spaces to relax together.

Classic Tuscany E-Bike tour
Italy

We booked this trip for September, 2023 and had numerous issues with this company. We are experienced cyclists both on regular and e-bikes, and have cycled in Europe previously. With Tripsite, on the first day, the bikes were delivered to us without helmets and even without a seat. On Cycling Day 1, one of the apps on our phones was blank and it took a while to get that reinstalled. Halfway through the route, we found ourselves stuck on the side of the road, as our bikes no longer had a charge. They were transported to our final destination for the day by van/shuttle. On Cycling Day 2, only one of the two chargers was working, so one bike was still dead. We used the only working charger to charge the second bike - which takes 3-4 hours. After an obviously late start, again the bikes were just not what was needed for this route. It is not "Easy-Moderate" as stated and we found ourselves pushing very heavy bikes up very steep hills. Again the bikes were not Read More

Classic or Luxury Famous Villages of Provence

We experienced the most amazing trip for our wedding anniversary. The self-guided tour was a great way to visit this beautiful region at your own pace. The hotels picked out were absolutely gorgeous and well situated, all the main sights were at walking distance. I have to say that the itinerary was a bit harder than we expected and there were some very steep (and long) climbs. We highly recommend this trip!

The Sicily trip was wonderful. The route, the cities and towns, the countryside, and coast were beautiful. I loved the ancient history and architecture. Best of all we’re our two guides, Fillipio and Claudio. They know their Island and shared their knowledge and love of Sicily with us.

This trip was fabulous! The organization from strt to finish was professional. The rides were challenging on the first two days. The rides along the water wee spectacular. The guides, Claudio and Filippo were outstanding. They organized fabulous experiences for our group both on the road while biking but also in the towns with tours and restaurants. Four Countries of Lake Constance
Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland

The Four Countries of Lake Constance was my tenth trip with Tripsite. Since 2017 I have done four bike and barge trips and five self-guided trips.

The partner company that runs this trip for Tripsite was excellent. With my wife in 2018 I did a 10 day circle eight trip around Lake Constance with the same partner. Therefore, I was already familiar with them.

They have beautiful modern bike place in Constance. The electric bikes they supplied my friend and myself were excellent, far better than the bikes supplied by vendors in other nations. Radweg’s employees were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Their printed materials, maps and BikeGPX routes were also excellent.

My friend and I were very excited about our trip, but suddenly he fell ill with COVID-19. Therefore, all I can write about is the first day’s ride from Constance to Schaffhausen. It was a beautiful ride with interesting historic places to stop. However, by the time we arrived at Schaffhausen Read More

Catalonian Flavors of the Mediterranean

We loved our Catalonia bike trip! Having the routes set up for us without having to give them a thought was invaluable! They took us to a variety of towns each with their own flavor and style. The hotels were wonderful, and the tour operator couldn't have been more of top of picking up and delivering our luggage as expected. We would not hesitate to recommend this vacation to others and already have!
