Famous Villages of Provence
France

This was our second trip with Tripsite. We did this trip to Provence in early September and it really was magnificent. The local tour organizer had a well prepared and thought out package with easy to follow directions for the most part. The cycling with the accompanying scenery was beautiful. The accommodations and food were well selected. We can't recommend a trip more highly than this (except possibly the trip to the Netherlands we did last year) or this group.

Rhine Romance
Germany

Hi Mary,

My husband and I recently completed the Rhine Romance cycle tour in Germany and at the time of booking you asked for feedback so I thought I'd drop you a line now we are home.

We both really enjoyed the tour - the hotels were of a better standard than we expected and were in locations that were easy to find and close to the major sites we wanted to see. The breakfasts provided were great and the delivery of our luggage was always prompt. The cycles provided were of good quality and the local contact was friendly and helpful, although his English language skills were not fantastic we still understood the brief he provided. The tour itself went through some amazing towns and the pack provided sufficient information on the key sites to see in each. The only negative aspect of the tour was the quality of the written directions. They were very unclear and caused some frustration. Luckily the local signs were frequent and provided an alternative for us to navigate Read More

Tuscany Road Bike Tour
Italy

We did this tour in July and it was fantastic. The tour was very well organised, good directions and signposting. The weather was hot as you would expect and the ride challenging. I would recommend that people to some hill training before undertaking this ride. All the villages were on hilltops. Great scenery, food, wine - all that you would expect in Tuscany. The only downsides were that the tour does not in fact go through Lucca as the guide indicated. Also there were 3 of us and the bikes ranged from Dura-ace equipped carbon frame bike to a heavy aluminium frame bike with a granny gear. Other than that it was well worth it and certainly lived up to our expectations. The Italian drivers were also very respectful of cyclists.

Dali’s Country Road Bike Tour
Spain

Our family of 3 teenagers and 2 adults just did this trip in June. We had a fantastic time. Roads were in excellent condition. The auto drivers were safe and considerate (unlike the US!). The routes were challenging; the bikes to die for. We loved Girona and Calella. Farmhouse overnight was charming. Food and scenery were incredible. We can't wait to go back!

Along the North Sea
Netherlands

I did this trip in August 2012 with my husband and two 20-something children. We all said it was one of the best vacations we'd ever had. The lodging was varied from quaint to elegant but always wonderful, the bikes were great, and the country was amazing. We loved the combination of small villages, cities, countryside and seashore. The directions and maps were a bit hard to follow at times, but the Dutch people are nothing if not friendly and helpful - several kindly folks rode their own bikes out of their way to guide us to where we had to go next. It was a fantastic adventure and we want to do another bike trip next summer. Everything that Pack and Pedal arranged went off without a hitch.

Brussels to Bruges

This tour was phenomenal! My boyfriend and I had no idea what to expect since we booked it rather last-minute. Carla took care of everything and all we had to do was show up!

The bikes are typical city hybrid bikes that rode just fine. Some people on the tour brought their own bikes, too, so that's an option.

It was completely self-paced and you can linger in the cities you pass through or stop for lunch whenever you please. We usually kept running into the same cyclists, but it was never as though we all had to stick together in a herd.

We were booked into some very nice hotels and what a treat that they schlep your luggage from place-to-place for you. One less thing to worry about! Given that you're on your bike for a good portion of the day, it's good to know that you will have a comfy bed waiting for you at day's end.

The map is helpful. I will say that the directions in English started off well, but there were a few glitches Read More

Andalusia - Seville to Granada

Spectacular! Matt of Adventurebug was our guide and an outstanding leader! He took such awesome care of us, the bikes and all the details involved in a cycling trip. The hotels were charming, he made sure we tried all sorts of local produce, wines and cheeses. He was ready with dinner suggestions, took us to a flamingo show , olive oil factory and was a wealth of information on history, local customs and traditions. I highly recommend this trip.

We had a fantastic time this past June (2012). The routes were level and beautiful. The hotel and restaurant were outstanding. We hope to do this trip again. Many thanks to Hennie and her terrific staff for making our 4th vacation with Pack and Pedal another incredible event.

Thank you for the great trip! I've already booked another from your company for next year. All of my friend here in Iceland have asked me about your company and I know that some of them have already booked trips for next year.

Along the North Sea
Netherlands

My husband and I did this tour in April 2012. It was the first time we had cycled in the Netherlands, and the tulips were in full bloom. The accommodations were excellent, the terrain was pretty flat, and the bike roads were amazing. The signage was excellent and we sometimes varied our path from the directions to add to the adventure. It was a most memorable trip. We would do it again at the drop of a hat.

Tuscany - Pisa & Florence
Italy

I took this Tuscany III tour in June 2012. It was a trip I will fondly remember forever!

Tripsite and the local Italian tour organizer, Girolibero, provided excellent support from booking, to the tour itself. I was fully informed with information about the routes, hotel accommodations, what will be provided, and what I need to bring. There were no surprises!!

I always felt safe and comfortable every day of riding. We were taken along the backroads of Tuscany, away from heavily travelled areas. The beauty of the rural scenery, and charm of the medieval villages and towns, were exactly what I had hoped for.

The hotels were first rate - clean, comfortable and most providing a/c and free WiFi. The breakfasts provided a wide selection of food, something for everyone's taste.

There were two things that would have made this tour even more enjoyable for me. One, is the bicycle seat. It was a wide, soft, gel seat. Contrary to what would be expected, it gave me Read More

Algarve
Portugal

Affordable and well-managed at both ends, A+ stateside, B for Europe. Don'ts: clip-in pedals, tandem rentals, and Ryan Air. Do bring your own bottle and cage. Above all, to see Portugal up close by bike (and foot) was an exceptional treat.

Our group of 12 took this tour several years ago. We had extra days in Brussels (well worth it) and in Brugges (three days will give you a day to visit the seacost resorts (just 10 miles away. This trip is entirely in the Flenish (Northern) part of Belgium. Pack and Pedal took care of us in a first class manner..

Our group of 11 cyclists took this tour in May 2009. We have taken some 8 European tours, and somehow this was the most memorable. It has s great combination of scdenery and historic sites. Our weather was perfect. Flying in and out of Berlin is handy. Hennie has cycled this route herself, so she knows it well! Pack and Pedal's service is, as usual, excellent.

Venice to Florence - old version

Our group loved the Venice-Florence trip. Extra days at venice beforehand and Florence afterwards is very worthwhile. And having reservations made for us was very handy. The ride downhill from Fisole into Florence is one of the most spctacular 7 miles in Europe! As usual, Pack and Pedal really took care of us.

West Flanders & Bruges
Belgium

The trip we did was a self-guided tour of West Flanders & Brugge, and I can honestly say it was the best trip of my life! I can't recommend travel through Tripsite.com enough. Using them, we experienced the highest level of professionalism & security, in addition to a fantastic cycling adventure. We're definitely planning on another self-guided tour, the only problem we're having is agreeing on which one to take first! Thank you, Carla, Hennie & everyone at tripsite for giving us an experience we will never forget!

Breisgau & Alsace Wine Road
France, Germany

Overall a very enjoyable tour staying at good hotels and the bikes while a little heavy did the job well. The one area that needs improvement was the directions. For the first couple of days we were given detailed instructions in English but subsequently we were instructed to follow the route in the map book which was in German! As a consequence we had to work out our own route which we did using a large scale map and google maps. Also the suggestion was that we could have taken two possible routes on the first ride day but we only given instructions for one. Still a most enjoyable ride, fantastic scenary the weather was perfect.

Around the IJsselmeer
Netherlands

We biked around the IJsselmeer in September. We made the mistake of booking our airline tickets prior to the bike tour. As a result, some hotels that were normally used for this trip were already booked. Staff did a superb job working around our schedule, changing things up just a bit, to make this happen for us. I really felt like we got top notch service. Very much enjoyed the route and all the scenery. Along the lake can be quite windy! Lodging was all very nice and the Dutch are very friendly people. I think we ate apple cake and had coffee every afternoon! I would definitely recommend Tripsite and especially the Netherlands.

Brussels to Bruges
Belgium

We loved our trip. It was our first visit to Belgium and we felt like we saw most of the country ... Brussels, Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp, Bruges and more. Plus, you really get to see a place up close when you do it by bike.

The bike paths were excellent ... many of them were along rivers or canals. The directions were usually easy to follow and, on occasion, when they weren't, that just added to the adventure.

There is so much to do in Brussels, we stayed a couple of extra days. Bruges is so charming, we spent a little extra time there, too. Plus, we were fortunate to be in both Ghent and Bruges during festivals.

We look forward to other trips in the future.

Simply put this was the best cycling adventure I have ever enjoyed, thanks to the beautiful scenery, challenging and rewarding routes, delightful accomodations, an excellent and well equipped bike, and a very conscientious tour operator. I have not yet selected the tour I will do this summer, but even with all the places I want to explore, I am seriously considering doing this tour again - it was that good!

This was the first time we had done a place to place cycling holiday and we were so pleased with it all that we are looking to book another this year. Tripsite could not have been more helpful and were very pateint with all the questions we asked before we booked. The tour was fantastic with everything going to plan. The accomodation was lovely. We started this tour in Hilversum as Oudewater was fully booked due to the late booking of this holiday. However the tour was adapted and cycle routes provided for this modified tour. Excellent value for money and what a wonderful, helpful team. A big thank you to you all.

Salzburg to Vienna

My wife and I did this self-guided tour in September of 2009. We flew into Vienna and took the train to Saltsburg to start our trip. The extra days that we booked in Saltsburg were marvelous.

The accomodations along the way were always excellent. Good variety and very good service. Austria is clean, safe and the Danube Cycle Path is a real gem. If you love travelling by bike you really must do the Danube at least once.

The nice folks at Tripsite could not have been more pleasant to deal with. Give them a try for your next cycling adventure.

Dali’s Country Road Bike Tour
Spain

My boyfriend and I booked this trip in late May 2011. The bikes the shop rents are incredible. We loved it and are planning on doing another trip this year. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. The couple that runs the bike shop is wonderful. I would also recommend the luxury accommodations, for only a little extra, it is definitely worth it. The rides were very good and there were definitely some hills, but it was a great experience.
