Day 1: Arrival in Paris
Arrive in Paris and board the Amadeus Diamond in the afternoon. Settle into your cabin and meet your tour guides for an introduction to the week ahead, including details about the cycling program. At 8 pm, the ship casts off and begins cruising along the Seine toward Normandy.

Day 2: Conflans & Auvers-sur-Oise, 34 mi. (55 km)
Your first guided ride begins in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a historic river town where the Seine and Oise meet. Follow riverside paths and quiet country roads to Auvers-sur-Oise, a village forever linked with Vincent van Gogh, who spent the final months of his life here in 1890 and produced more than 70 paintings during his short stay. Visit the graves of Vincent and his brother Theo, buried side by side in the village cemetery, and see places that appear in some of the artist’s final works. You’ll also visit the Château d’Auvers-sur-Oise and its multimedia exhibition before continuing through the countryside, where fields, riverbanks, stone houses, and village lanes recall the landscapes that attracted Van Gogh and other artists to the Oise Valley.

Day 3: Rouen, 27 mi. (45 km)
Begin with a guided walking tour of Rouen, Normandy’s historic capital, exploring the medieval center with its half-timbered houses, narrow streets, and magnificent Gothic cathedral. You’ll also see the square connected to Joan of Arc, who was tried and executed in Rouen in 1431. Afterward, set out by bike along the Route of the Romanesque Abbeys, following the Seine through the countryside west of Rouen on quiet roads and riverside stretches. Your destination is Jumièges Abbey, an imposing medieval ruin whose twin towers still rise high above the surrounding landscape. A picnic in the countryside is included during today’s guided cycling tour.

Day 4: Le Havre & Côte d'Albâtre, 37 mi. (60 km)
Today’s guided ride begins in Le Havre and follows Normandy’s Alabaster Coast, known for the white chalk cliffs that rise above the English Channel. Cycle to Étretat, where the sea has carved enormous arches into the limestone and the needle-shaped Aiguille rises just offshore – a scene famously captured by Claude Monet. Explore the coastal path on foot for elevated views of the cliffs and distinctive rock formations; comfortable shoes with good traction are recommended. Back on the bike, continue through the Normandy countryside, passing farms, grazing cattle, small villages, and châteaux on the way to Lillebonne. From here, a transfer returns you to the Amadeus Diamond in Le Havre.

Day 5: Honfleur & D-Day Experience, 25 mi. (41 km)
Today’s guided ride focuses on one of the most significant chapters of World War II, beginning at Omaha Beach, one of the five Allied landing beaches of June 6, 1944. Cycle along quiet coastal roads and visit the Omaha Beach Museum, followed by the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, where rows of white crosses and Stars of David overlook the sea and mark the graves of more than 9,000 American service members. A picnic lunch along the Normandy coast is included during the ride. After cycling, spend time on foot in Honfleur, a centuries-old harbor town known for its narrow lanes and distinctive tall houses lining the Vieux Bassin, or Old Harbor.

Day 6: Les Andelys - Vernon - Mantes-la-Jolie, 43 mi. (69 km)
Begin today’s guided ride in Les Andelys, beneath the ruins of Château Gaillard, the formidable 12th-century fortress built by Richard the Lionheart high above the Seine. Follow quiet riverside roads to Giverny, where Claude Monet lived and worked for more than 40 years. Visit Monet’s Gardens, including the flower-filled Clos Normand and the water garden with its Japanese bridge and lily pond – the setting for his celebrated Water Lilies paintings. Continue through the Seine Valley to La Roche-Guyon, dominated by its château tucked beneath a limestone cliff, before following the river toward Mantes-la-Jolie, where today’s ride ends.

Day 7: Paris, 22 mi. (36 km)
Your final guided ride explores Paris by bike, following the Seine and Canal Saint-Martin while passing landmarks including Notre-Dame, Pont Neuf, and the Champs-Élysées. The day also includes admission and guided visits to two of the city’s standout art museums. At the Musée de l’Orangerie, see Monet’s monumental Water Lilies displayed in the oval galleries he helped design for them, followed by a visit to the Musée Rodin, home to works including The Thinker and The Kiss. It’s a fitting final day, connecting many of the artists and landscapes encountered along the Seine with their works in Paris.

Day 8: Departure or extension in Paris
Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking in Paris by 9 am.
