Airport Info
The largest international airport to your tour start and end is Berlin, which has 2 airports, Tegel (TXL), the main international airport located 10 km from Berlin, and Schoenfeld (SXF), located 23 km from Berlin. Schoenefeld serves low-cost airlines. Another option is to fly to Bremen International Airport (BRE) which is a small international airport.
Local Travel
Berlin’s airports are both very well connected to the city center of Berlin and the surrounding area. Tegel (TXL) does not have a train station in the airport but you will take the bus line TXL to the main train station in Berlin from which you can travel easily onward to Bremen. Train travel takes approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes and does entail transfers. If you fly to Bremen, it takes only eleven minutes for passengers to reach the airport from the city center. The tram stops directly in front of the terminal. At the end of your tour in Wolfsburg, the boat docks close to the train station. Remember that once you arrive in Berlin city center, you will then take a bus to Tegel.
