Greece Bike + Boat Tours
A guided e-bike island hopping tour through the iconic and ancient Aegean
-
Overview
Discover the Cyclades on a Greek island hopping tour that combines small-ship sailing with guided e-bike rides. Starting in Mykonos, you’ll follow quiet island roads through traditional villages and past scenic coastlines. Each island offers something distinct: religious landmarks on Tinos, neoclassical architecture on Syros, the pottery of Sifnos, volcanic terrain and caves on Antiparos, and the rural mountain landscapes of Naxos. The tour also includes a guided visit to Delos, the legendary UNESCO-listed archaeological site at the heart of the ancient Aegean.
Throughout the tour, a comfortable small yacht serves as your home base, allowing you to settle in and explore without packing and unpacking. Daily plans balance activity and free time, offering opportunities to swim, taste local specialties, or simply enjoy the views from the deck.

Most islands on this itinerary offer plenty of alternative activities, and in many cases, day trips by local ferry services are also possible.
Day 1: Arrival in Mykonos
Your trip begins on the well-known island of Mykonos, recognized worldwide for its whitewashed houses, blue-trimmed balconies, and hillside windmills that have stood since the 16th century. Mykonos has an international airport and frequent ferry links, making it an easy starting point for exploring the Cyclades. After arriving, a private transfer takes you to your hotel in Mykonos Town. The remainder of the day is free to walk the narrow lanes, enjoy the waterfront cafés, or settle in at your own pace. Overnight in Mykonos Town.Day 2: Mykonos - Tinos
At 9:00 am, your guide meets you at the hotel for a walking tour of Mykonos Chora. You will visit the famous Windmill Hill, the neighborhood known as Little Venice, where sea captains once lived, the local fish market, and the maze of traditional alleys. After lunch in Mykonos Town, you transfer at 2:00 pm to your yacht in Tourlos harbor. The first crossing brings you to nearby Tinos, an island known for its artistic heritage and traditional villages. Explore the old town with a visit to the Pilgrimage Church of Evangelistria, a major religious landmark in Greece. Later, enjoy a wine tasting at Vaptistis Winery, set on a hill with sweeping views of Mykonos. A welcome dinner is served on board the Virtuoso in the evening.Day 3: Tinos - Syros, 22 mi. (36 km)
Begin the morning with coffee, tea, and breakfast on board. Today’s e-bike route crosses Tinos, an island often called the Holy Island because it has more than 750 churches and chapels. You will also pass several historic Venetian dovecotes, unique stone structures decorated with geometric designs once used for breeding pigeons. Visit the village of Volax, famous for the smooth granite boulders surrounding it and its long tradition of basket weaving. Lunch is served on the yacht before sailing to Syros. On arrival, explore Ermoupolis, the capital of the Cyclades, known for its neoclassical architecture influenced by 19th-century shipbuilders and merchants. Sample local sweets such as Loukoumi. Dinner is at your leisure in the old town.Day 4: Syros - Sifnos, 24 mi. (39 km)
Today’s e-bike tour follows the southern shoreline of Syros, passing several bays and beaches. Stop for a swim and a coffee break at Galissas Beach, a popular sandy beach with calm water. Continue past the Monastery of Saint Barbara and return to Ermoupolis. After lunch on board, enjoy a longer afternoon sail to the island of Sifnos. Explore the harbor of Kamares, known for its pottery workshops that continue centuries-old traditions. Swim or relax at Kamares Beach before dining at a local taverna.Day 5: Sifnos - Antiparos, 19 mi. (30 km)
After breakfast, ride to the historic village of Kastro, a fortified settlement with a circular ancient layout and narrow passages. Visit a pottery workshop where a local artisan demonstrates traditional techniques used on the island for generations. In the afternoon, return to the yacht and sail to Antiparos, a small volcanic island known for its quiet beaches and relaxed pace.Day 6: Antiparos - Paros, 15 mi. (25 km)
Begin the day with an e-bike tour on Antiparos that includes the Antiparos Cave, home to stalactites estimated to be over 45 million years old. Enjoy a swim and coffee break at Agios Georgios Beach before sailing to Paros. Spend the afternoon and evening in Naoussa, a harbor town known for its colorful fishing boats, waterfront tavernas, and preserved Cycladic architecture.Day 7: Paros - Naxos, 26 mi. (42 km)
A short morning sail brings you to Naxos Chora, where the e-bike tour explores the island’s fertile interior. Visit the Sanctuary of Demeter in Sangri, an archaeological site dating back to the 6th century BCE, and enjoy an olive oil tasting en route. In the afternoon, explore Naxos Chora on foot, visiting the Portara, the marble gateway of an unfinished Apollo temple, and the Venetian castle overlooking the town. Wander the old alleys to experience Naxos’ long history and local culture.Day 8: Naxos - Delos - Mykonos
Sail from Naxos to Delos, one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A licensed guide leads a three-hour tour through temples, markets, and preserved ancient homes on the island considered the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Extra Info
Skill Level — Moderate
Cycling on this tour covers hilly to mountainous terrain with daily distances between 16 - 26 miles and elevation gains ranging from 820 - 2625 feet. Riders should feel confident on winding descents, uneven asphalt, and occasional gravel sections. The routes follow mostly paved public roads as the Cyclades have no dedicated bike paths, and traffic is generally light except near coastal towns, especially during peak season. Because e-bikes are heavier and faster than standard bicycles, participants should already be comfortable handling them and be familiar with road traffic. While the tour is guided, there may be opportunities to ride independently on suggested routes.
Airport Info
Flying is the easiest and fastest way to reach Mykonos, with Mykonos Island National Airport (JMK) served by many international routes, often via Athens. For your return trip, it’s recommended to book an afternoon flight to allow plenty of time.
Local Travel
All transfers are included: from the airport to your hotel on arrival, from the hotel to Marina Tourlos for embarkation, and from the port back to the airport on departure day. Marina Tourlos (New Port) is located about 3 km from Mykonos Town, and the exact docking location will be confirmed on the day of embarkation.
Climate
September and October offer mild, comfortable weather in the Cyclades. September is warm and mostly sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s °F, and excellent swimming conditions. October is slightly cooler at mid-60s to mid-70s °F, with generally calm winds and a higher chance of an occasional shower, but still plenty of clear days. Both months are ideal for cycling, walking, and island exploration without the summer crowds.
Day of Rest
If you do not wish to cycle on any day, you can choose to spend a half or full day relaxing on board instead of joining a scheduled ride.
Recommended
Helmets must be worn on all cycling tours. Please bring a properly fitting helmet. Rental helmets can be provided upon request when booked in advance.
Children may join the tour if they are in good physical condition, at least 10 years old, and already have some experience with bike tours. They should be strong enough to complete the cycling stages without assistance. Please note that the minimum height for using a rental bike is 1.50 m (5 ft).
Remarks
A chef travels with the group and prepares daily meals. The tour operates on a half-board basis, with a full breakfast served each morning and one cooked meal provided each day.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on board, but the signal may be weak while the yacht is at sea. For a stronger connection, you can visit a café or bar in port, where free Wi-Fi is commonly available.
Important to know
It is each traveler's responsibility to ensure that you are in compliance with the country or countries you plan to visit. This includes and is not limited to passport validity, visa requirements and acquisition, blank passport pages required for your destination (s), etc.
