Overview
This European bike tour features Denmark, one of the most beautiful countries in the world! The picture-book coastal towns, patchwork farmland fields, thatched farmhouses, and Renaissance castles add to the fairytale and secluded beaches, woodlands, and orchards, enchant!
You will experience for yourself why the Danes are considered one of the happiest people of the world. The famous Danish 'hygge', literally translated as 'fun', is actually more an attitude towards life, a feeling of contentment or well-being. This is regarded as a defining characteristic of the Danes and is as much a part of their culture as cycling.
The water will be an important part of this cycling vacation. The ferry ride on the Baltic Sea from Svendborg to the island of Ærø and then back again to the island of Funen, gives you intriguing glimpses of the small sparsely populated islands. Each of your overnight accommodations are located right on the coast, so you can enjoy the proximity to the sea and the coastal wildlife.

Recommended
Svendborg, on the island of Funen, is the gateway to the archipelago and is the perfect start and end for your Danish bike tour and a wonderful place from which to extend your holiday to Odensee, the "capital" of Funen. Odense has it all: charming streets, fascinating museums, and galleries, inviting green parks and delightful cafés. Odense is also rightly known for being a remarkably bike-friendly city. In fact, there is no better way to explore this modern, lively and authentically “hyggelige” city than by bike. Ask us for suggestions!
