Overview
We are proud to introduce our first European Golf Cruise! You have known Tripsite as your source for great bike tours, but we also know a thing or two about golf! Combine our expertise with boating and you have this unique Golf and Boat experience.
Golf is not the first thing that comes to mind when contemplating the Netherlands as a vacation destination but you will be pleasantly surprised to experience the quality of the courses here.
For example, the Royal Hague, one of the courses featured in this itinerary, is listed as one of the top golf courses of continental Europe and is rated number one in the Netherlands. With its distinctive dune landscape, one reviewer proclaimed it as a "mighty encounter"! Kennemer, another course on your itinerary, also rated as one of the top continental European courses, has hosted more than 20 Dutch opens.
Holland is not only a biking paradise but a golfing paradise as well!

Due to its proximity to the sea, you will enjoy the ocean feel, the large rolling duneland, coastal underbrush, and exposure to the ever-present south-west sea winds. The property was occupied by the Nazis during World War II and a massive concrete anti-tank barricade was built across the links, virtually destroying the course. Today's layout has been faithfully restored almost to its original design.
For those that do not wish to golf today, there will be a scheduled visit to a world-renown village of Zaanse Schans with windmills and an open-air museum.
Day 5: Zaanse Schans - Alphen a/d Rijn
A breakfast cruise through the heart of Amsterdam will be an event in and of itself. Non-golfers can spend time in the city, do some sightseeing and shopping, or cycle along the towpaths following the cruising route of Aurora. After an early lunch, you will depart for an afternoon of golf at Amsterdamse Golf Club*, featuring water hazards with reeds. Founded in 1934, it is one of the oldest clubs in the Netherlands. Another possibility is to visit the Zaanse Golf course or De Hooge Rotterdamsche, both courses offering varied and challenging holes.Day 6: Alpen a/d Rijn - Gouda
An optional very early morning tour to Aalsmeer Flower Auction, where some 17 million cut flowers from all over the world are traded here each day. During breakfast, we will cruise on to the nearby medieval town of Gouda, famous for its cheese market and stroopwafels. The large Gothic church of Sint Janskerk in Gouda is known especially for its magnificent stained glass windows, for which it has been placed on the UNESCO list of Dutch monuments. In the afternoon there will be the last round of golf at Golf and Country Club Liemeer.Day 7: Gouda - Schiedam
