Kvarner Bay Multi Adventure Tour

This adventure cruise in the Kvarner bay is a tour especially designed for families, in a way that everyone can enjoy! Along with the planned activities in this week's itinerary, there is sufficient time for playing, fun, and spontaneity. This tour lives up to its name and offers cycling, walking, canoeing, swimming, or just relaxing on board. Each day gives you the option on what you'd like to experience. Explore the Kvarner Bay this way with all its scenic and architectural beauties.

2018 Itinerary:

Day 1: Omišalj (Embarkation) – Opatija
Day 2: Opatija – Rabac – Cres (aprox. 45 min. by foot, aprox. 7 mi./12 km by bicycle)
Day 3: Cres-Stadt – Osor – Mali Lošinj (aprox. 6 mi./10 km by bicycle/aprox. 1 h by foot)
Day 4: Mali Lošinj – Island of Rab (aprx. 8 mi./12 km by bicycle)
Day 5: Island of Rab: Rab town – Frkanj – Rab town
Day 6: Rab – Jablanac/Zavratnica – Krk Town (aprx. 2.5 h by foot)
Day 7: Island of Krk: Krk Town – Malinska – Njivice – Omišalj (aprx. 2 h by foot)
Day 8: Disembarkation in Omišalj

Day 1: (Sun) Omišalj (Embarkation) – Opatija
Individual arrival to Omišalj, a quiet harbour town on the Island of Krk. If you get here early, take a dip in the Adriatic Sea or enjoy an ice cream in the ice cream shop located right next to the dock. After check-in between 2 and 2:30 pm, your ship will take you to Opatija on the Istrian peninsula. On the way, the boat stops so you can dive into the open sea for a bit. After your arrival in Opatija, the tour guide takes you for an interesting tour through the old town and the glamorous bathing resort.

Day 2: (Mon) Opatija – Rabac – Cres (aprx. 45 min. by foot, aprx. 7 mi./12 km by bicycle)
In the morning, you will cross by boat along the Istrian peninsula all the way to Rabac. From here, you will take a walk to the Bike Center Rabac where you'll take a little ride. For our younger guests (5 to 12 years old), there will be a supervised bike lesson to get used to their bikes. After lunch, you will cross over to Cres Town on the island of Cres. After arrival, your guide will tell you all the secrets of the ancient town of Cres. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: (Tue) Cres-Stadt – Osor – Mali Lošinj (aprx. 6 mi./10 km by bicycle/aprx. 1 h by foot)
You start the day with a little bike ride to the close-by marina. You will return to the boat after a swim break and cross over to the lovely artists’ village of Osor, where you will take an exciting tour through it's 2000 years of history. The bay of Osor is very appealing with its crystal clear waters. Take a relaxing swim before returning to the boat and crossing to the seafaring and wellness destination, Mali Lošinj. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: (Wed) Mali Lošinj – Island of Rab (aprx. 8 mi./12 km by bicycle)
A relaxing morning bike ride takes you along a promenade with countless coves all the way to the Cikat Bay. You will return to Mali Lošinj after an extensive swim break. Stroll a while around the picturesque town until the ship departs at about 3 pm for the island of Rab. Overnight stay on anchor and Captains dinner.

Day 5: (Thu) Island of Rab: Rab town – Frkanj – Rab town
A short crossing takes you to Rab island which is one of the sunniest places in Europe. Afterwards, you will bike to Frkanj beach where you have time to swim, take part in beach activities, and to have some lunch before returning to the ship. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the Middle Ages on a wedge shaped headland and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. Join your guide, on a journey through the picturesque old town to round off the day.

Day 6: (Fri) Rab – Jablanac/Zavratnica – Krk Town (aprx. 2.5 h by foot)
In the morning, you cross by boat to Jablanac on the Croatian mainland. From here, you can take a nice walk to the Zavratnica Fjord, one of Croatia’s many natural wonders. The crystal clear water is perfect for a swim before returning to the ship, which awaits you for lunch along with a crossing to Krk Town. If the weather permits, you will stop for a swim in a beautiful bay on the way to the capital. In the evening, the group will take a short tour through the Venetian influenced old town of Krk.

Day 7: (Sat) Island of Krk: Krk Town – Malinska – Njivice – Omišalj (aprx. 2 h by foot)
After a crossing to Malinksa on the island of Krk, you will take a relaxing and beautiful walk along the sea front to Njivice. A transfer takes you afterwards to Biserujka grotto, which is a famous limestone cave. Take a look inside and venture into the underground chambers of Krk before another transfer takes you to the old town of Omišalj. Here, you will visit a local cheesery and explore the surroundings until returning to the ship at 5 pm. In the evening, an eventful week comes to an end with a cozy farewell dinner on board.

Day 8: (Sun) Omišalj (Disembarkation)
After breakfast disembarkation until 9am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.
