The closest airport to your embarkation is Bodrum Airport or Dalaman Airport. Embarkation takes place in Yalı Çiftlik, a small village just under 14 km from Bodrum town. The first sailing trip brings you from Bodrum to Körmen in the early morning. Your first cycling tour leads along the Datça peninsula. The first ascent takes you to a height of 450m before you make your descent back down to the sea. On a clear day, the view of the Greek islands Nisyros, Tilos, and Rhodes can be seen. A scenic road leads along the coast and later through rural areas, before arriving in Knidos. After visiting the impressive archaeological site, stay in one of the most picturesque bays of the Turkish coast.Elevation: 450 m
Day 3: Knidos – Serçe Limanı – Çiftlik, 30 mi. (49 km)
Today's theme is relaxation. In the morning, the boat takes you to a small bay on the utmost peak of the Bozburun Peninsula. A lonely mountain road leads to a mountain village located at 300m with a 1,500-year-old plane tree and a lively bazaar are both worth a visit. A brief walk around the plane tree is said to ensure a lucky and long life. After lunch, continue to the bay of Çiftlik with your bikes where there is enough time to refresh yourself with a long bath in the sea.Elevation: 300 m
Day 4: Çiftlik – Ekincik – Kaunos, 19 mi. (31 km)
During breakfast, cross over to the little harbor of Ekincik, the starting point of today’s bike ride. After crossing the pass with spectacular views we will reach the shore of Lake Köycegiz, where we have the opportunity to take a healing mud bath close to Sultaniye. After another small pass, reach the mouth of the Dalyan River. From here, take a small boat on a 30 minutes’ ride past the impressive Lycian rock-cut tombs overlooking the Dalyan delta, to our boat which lies at anchor before a small rocky island.Day 5: Kaunos – Dalaman – Sarsala Bay, 26 mi. (42 km)
After breakfast, the tour boat brings us close to the ancient city of Kaunos, the first destination of today’s bike tour. Once on the seaside, the harbor now lies high and dry. Only the ruins are silent witnesses of the former wealth of the city. After visiting this site we continue the tour by bike. We cross the fertile Dalaman plains with their cotton fields and orchards and take a well-deserved break in a tea house in Dalaman. After crossing a small pass, you reach the beautiful bay of Sarsala.Elevation: 200 m
Day 6: Gemiler Bay – Fethiye, 21 mi. (33 km)
After breakfast, the ship passes plenty of little islands before reaching Gemiler – also known as the island of St. Nicolas, on which a church was built for him in the 5th Century. Back on the mainland, the bike ride takes you through a pine forest to the abandoned Greek city Kayaköy, once home to 6,500 inhabitants. On the way, pass the lagoon of Oludeniz, a famous golden sand beach similar to the “Golden Horn” of Brac in Croatia. After a short transfer to Ovacik, you travel the last kilometers by bike. In the evening, take a nice walk through the lively city. The old town surrounds the Eski Cami mosque with its narrow, winding alleys and typical corner houses. Your bike ride will continue to Fethiye where there is a chance to extend the tour by a few kilometers to a small peninsula nearby with quiet bays and beautiful beaches. It is a place perfect for a picturesque swim stop. At nighttime, you can explore Fethiye and enjoy the local bazaar. The old town which is marked by the Eski Cami Mosque is also worth a visit.Elevation: 200 m
Day 7: Fethiye – Saklikent Canyon – Göcek, 17 mi. (27 km)
A bus transfer (60 min) takes you to Cavdir, the starting point of today’s cycling tour. From here, bike to the Saklikent Canyon, where you can enjoy lunch at the river bank. In Turkish, “Saklikent” means “Hidden City”. The canyon is spectacular and can be easily explored on foot. Afterward, continue your cycling to the ancient town of Tlos which has been one of the largest towns in Lycia. After an inspiring visit, a transfer takes you to Göcek.Elevation: 250 m

Day 2: Göcek – Saklikent Canyon – Gemiler Bay, 17 mi. (27 km)
A bus transfer (60 min) takes you to Cavdir, the starting point of today’s cycling tour. From here, bike to the Saklikent Canyon, where we can enjoy lunch at the river bank. In Turkish “Saklikent” means “Hidden City”. The canyon is spectacular and can be easily explored on foot. Afterward, we continue our cycling tour to Kadiköy. From here, a short transfer takes us to the ancient town of Tlos which was once one of the largest towns in Lycia. After visiting the historic site the shuttle bus takes us to Gemiler Bay, where we board the boat off the coast of Gemiler Island – also known as St. Nikolaus Island due to the church constructed here in his name in the 5th century.Day 3: Gemiler Bay – Fethiye – Sarsala Bay, 21 mi. (33 km)
In the morning we cycle through a pine forest to the 1922 abandoned Greek city of Kayaköy, once home to 6,500 people. From here we continue our bike ride to Fethiye where we have the chance to extend our tour by a few kilometers: a small peninsula nearby tempts with its quiet bays and beautiful beaches, perfect for a picturesque swim stop. Alternatively, we can spend time exploring the city of Fethiye with its local bazaar. The old town, marked by the Eski Cami Mosque is also worth a visit, with its narrow, winding alleyways and the typical corner houses. Back on board, the boat takes us to Sarsala Bay where we spend a peaceful night on anchor.
Day 4: Sarsala Bay – Dalaman – Dalyan, 26 mi. (42 km)
After breakfast, cross the fertile Dalaman plains with its cotton fields and orchards, and take a well-deserved break in a tea house in Dalaman. After a small pass, you reach the estuarial area of the Dalyan delta and take a well-deserved lunch break in a comfortable restaurant. From here, it’s only a few more kilometers until Dalyan. Passing the impressive rock-cut tombs and the Dalyan delta, a small boat takes you to the ship, which lies at anchor just before a small rocky island.
Day 5: Kaunos – Ekincik – Ciftlik Bay, 19 mi. (31 km)
After breakfast, the boat brings you close to the ancient city of Kaunos, the first destination of today’s bike tour. Once on the seafront, the harbor now lies high and dry. The ruins are silent witnesses of the former wealth of the city. Continue the tour by bike to the shores of Lake Köycegiz and take a healing mud bath close to Sultaniye. After another small pass with fantastic views, reach the tiny fishermen’s village of Ekincik, where you embark on the boat and spend the night in the bay of Ciftlik.
Day 6: Çiftlik – Serçe Limanı – Datça, 28 mi. (45 km)

Skill Level — Moderate–Difficult
This is a moderate to difficult bike and boat tour depending on your ability. Daily distances average 40 km and take you through mountainous and hilly terrain with extended climbs. Most routes are paved and take place on roads with little traffic as much as possible. This tour is primarily a guided, group tour. Upon consultation with your tour guides, the possibility to cycle on your own along recommended, suitable routes, may present itself. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend onboard the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour.

The closest international airport to your embarkation/disembarkation point is Bodrum Airport (BJV). You can also fly to Dalaman (DLM).
Local Travel
An organized collective transfer between Bodrum airport and the boat in Bodrum or between Dalaman airport and the boat in Fethiye can be arranged only on embarkation/disembarkation days.

Day 1
After arriving at Istanbul Airport a transfer will bring you to the hotel. Peering out of the car window, you will gain your first impressions of this exciting city. Check into the Recital Boutique Hotel – your home for the next 3 days.Day 2
After breakfast, a boat tour on the Bosporus will give you a perspective of the city from the water. Under the two giant hanging bridges, past countless palaces, summer villas, wooden huts as well as the fortress of Rumeli Hisari and back to the Golden Horn. Visit the Galata Tower on the northern shore of the Golden Horn before continuing on to the Pera Art Museum. After a break for lunch, it is time to experience ‘modern Istanbul’ – a stroll through the Beyoglu suburb, the center of Western culture in Istanbul.Day 3
Today will be filled with visitations of architectural masterpieces of the Byzantine era in the old town of Istanbul: Visit the Hagia Sophia in the morning – the crowning church of the Byzantine emperor. Another unforgettable visitation is that of the Topkapi Palace, the former residence and governing seat of Sultans in the Ottoman Empire as well as the Sultan-Ahmed Mosque (‘Blue Mosque’). In the afternoon, visit the Hippodrom – the athletic and social center of the Byzantine Empire – as well as the Hippodrom Exhibition in an ancient Byzantine water cistern in the art museum, Nakkas. The day can be rounded off by marveling at local handcrafts while enjoying a great glass of wine. A farewell dinner is hosted on the shores of the Bosporus at the foot of the Galata Bridge.Day 4
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and enjoy the last impressions of the city as your transfer takes you to the Airport.Tour Operator
