Overview
Embark on an eclectic tour around Berlin's quirkiest side with this alternative guided cycling adventure, unveiling the city's hidden gems and charming nooks.
Spanning approximately 3.5 hours, your bike tour commences in the trendy neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg, where captivating boutiques and alluring dining establishments await. You'll then pedal on to the enchanting Fountain of Fairytales before transitioning to a different atmosphere as you cycle down the historic Stalinallee, a monumental socialist boulevard constructed by the GDR from 1952 to 1960.
Glide alongside the open-air East Side Gallery, a visual narrative of the Berlin Wall's history, before your gaze falls upon the magnificent double-decker Oberbaumbrücke bridge, spanning the River Spree. This landmark, once a border crossing, gleams in the warm sunlight and holds a special place in Kreuzberg's heart.
Savor a leisurely ride along the riverside, where you'll be captivated by the kaleidoscope of hues adorning the Wrangelstraße murals. Your guided tour continues to Görlitzer Park, a prominent recreational haven featuring a charming lawned amphitheater.
Like the Kreuzberg locals, you'll fall in love with Little Istanbul, where your senses will be overwhelmed by the vibrant bars and shops lining Oranienstraße. This lively area is brimming with quirky Turkish treasures, delights, and delicacies.
As you bike on to Bethanien, you'll be awestruck by the majestic turrets of this former hospital, once a haven for Berlin's alternative activists during its squatting era and later a workspace for professional artists until 2010.
Your bicycle tour culminates at the Wall's treehouse, a seemingly impossible tale from the Cold War era, showcasing the audacious attempt of one intrepid migrant to outwit the authorities.
Pedal your way through an array of Berlin's symbols of resilience, culture, and community on this exceptional day tour of Germany's capital. There’ll be plenty to share with your loved ones back home!
