Uncover the uniquely intriguing history of Barossa winemaking traditions at Artisans of Barossa, a collaboration of eight small winemakers nestled on the northern side of Tanunda, united in their commitment to promoting and protecting their art. Before and after you’ve delved into a fascinating heritage, sampled the exquisite products, and settled down for a lavish lunch, you’ll witness the exceptional majesty of the Barossa Valley from the sky on a scenic helicopter tour.

Lift off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley and soar over the awe-inspiring landscape beneath, flying past Lyndoch before skirting the wondrous western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Sail over the gorgeous green blanket of vineyards surrounding Seppeltsfield Winery, Maggie Beer’s farm, and Penfolds Winery, before making a spectacularly stylish landing within 20m of the entrance to Artisans of Barossa.

Immerse yourself in the incredible atmosphere of an artisanal winery setting, indulging in the ‘Rarities’ experience, where you’ll be treated to a tasting of six wines from the full tasting selection, gaining a first-hand appreciation for the quality and value of this region’s viticulturalists. Refreshed, settle down for a sumptuous four-course lunch of your choosing in Essen, Artisans of Barossa’s gorgeous restaurant.

Having been grandly indulged, reboard your helicopter for a tour around the outskirts of Tanunda, soaring south towards Jacob’s Creek winery and some of Australia’s largest wine tanks. From this unbeatable viewpoint, behold the unbounded beauty of the Barossa Valley as you glide over Lyndoch, the Whispering Wall (Barossa Reservoir), and the Barossa Goldfields, before your helicopter lands you elegantly back in the vibrant Hoffnungsthal Valley.

Cancellation policy
• Clients that are a “No Show” will forfeit the cost of the entire booking.
• Full cost of booking will be charged if cancellation is made inside 24 hours of booked flight time.
• No charge outside 48 hours.
• Full refund will be made available to customers in the event of a cancellation of the flight by Barossa Helicopters Pty Ltd due to adverse weather or any other unforeseen event.

We are happy to reschedule your flight with the above cancellation policy in mind. If you need to reschedule due to not travelling to South Australia for a period, we will cancel and refund according to above Cancellation Policy.
Health and safety policy
Weight restrictions
- Each flight has a maximum total weight limit including fuel, passengers etc.
- Maximum individual weight is 130kg.
- Combined maximum passenger weight is 270kg per flight.
- Please inform us at the time of booking of ALL accurate passenger weights.
Height restrictions:

Children must be over 100cm tall to fly. A child must be able to sit independently on their own seat. Children are not allowed to sit on laps.

Flying while pregnant:

The decision to fly at any stage of pregnancy is entirely up to the individual. There are no pressure changes or manoeuvres that could cause discomfort.

Health conditions or impairments:
- Please let us know prior to booking if adjustments will need to be made. Each person is different, and most disabilities can be catered to with prior notice.
- A golf buggy is available to assist people with walking difficulties out to the helicopter.
- The door to the helicopter can be removed to help people with limited mobility enter the helicopter.
Motion sickness:

This is a scenic tour, not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness. The flight is smooth, and turns are slow and gentle. We recommend that if you are prone to motion sickness, that you do not use your camera or phone - looking at these screens can create distorted vision, which can cause motion sickness. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea.
