As you soar over this sensational landscape, you’ll look down over the vineyards of some of the world’s most famous wine producers, nestled within the blissful embrace of the Barossa Valley ranges. Your helicopter tour will have you in high spirits well before your elegant arrival at the entrance to Kies Family Wines, where an unforgettable and indulgent experience awaits.
The history of the Kies family is celebrated in Lyndoch, a German hamlet in the Barossa Valley where they’ve been cultivating a flourishing crop of grapes ever since the 1860s. Your warm welcome will begin with a tour of the Kies Family Wines estate, including the state-of-the-art wine making facility and atmospheric barrel hall. You’ll be shown the old Shiraz vines so celebrated on the estate whilst staff reveal insights into the sustainable and minimally interventional practices.
To top off the tour, you’ll savor a tasting of two sumptuous wines as you gather amidst the French and American Oak barrels used to mature the premium Barossa Valley Shiraz. These wines are single-vineyard products, grown right here on the estate, and your wine guide will select a wine perfectly suited to accompany your first lunch course - the blissful Barossa Valley Produce Platter.
Savor your scrumptious second course at the cozy Kies Family Wines Cafe, enjoying exceptional views of the beautiful Barossa Ranges from your seat. Once wonderfully full, you’ll discover the Kies Family Wine cellar for a cellar door tasting you’ll reflect on for years to come.
Your helicopter will be waiting for you right outside the cellar door, so you can depart in ultimate style. Your spectacular scenic tour will take you over the breathtaking Barossa Goldfields and the wonderful Whispering Wall, and will land you back in the beautiful Hoffnungsthal Valley, full of wonder, and excellent wine!

Cancellation policy
• Clients that are a “No Show” will forfeit the cost of the entire booking.
• Full cost of booking will be charged if cancellation is made inside 24 hours of booked flight time.
• No charge outside 48 hours.
• Full refund will be made available to customers in the event of a cancellation of the flight by Barossa Helicopters Pty Ltd due to adverse weather or any other unforeseen event.We are happy to reschedule your flight with the above cancellation policy in mind. If you need to reschedule due to not travelling to South Australia for a period, we will cancel and refund according to above Cancellation Policy.

Each flight has a maximum total weight limit including fuel, passengers etc.

Maximum individual weight is 130kg.

Combined maximum passenger weight is 270kg per flight.
- Please inform us at the time of booking of ALL accurate passenger weights.
Height restrictions:
Children must be over 100cm tall to fly. A child must be able to sit independently on their own seat. Children are not allowed to sit on laps.
Flying while pregnant:
The decision to fly at any stage of pregnancy is entirely up to the individual. There are no pressure changes or manoeuvres that could cause discomfort.
Health conditions or impairments:
- Please let us know prior to booking if adjustments will need to be made. Each person is different, and most disabilities can be catered to with prior notice.
- A golf buggy is available to assist people with walking difficulties out to the helicopter.
- The door to the helicopter can be removed to help people with limited mobility enter the helicopter.
Motion sickness:
This is a scenic tour, not a thrill ride. Most people do not experience motion sickness. The flight is smooth, and turns are slow and gentle. We recommend that if you are prone to motion sickness, that you do not use your camera or phone - looking at these screens can create distorted vision, which can cause motion sickness. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, anti-motion sickness medication is a good idea.
