Just like many of you, we are dreaming of traveling again. We cannot wait to bike along with the mighty Danube, hike along magnificent coastlines, or just enjoy the passing scenery while enjoying a cold beer from the observation deck. And don't even get us started about the food (the things we would do for a well-earned plate of handmade pasta after a long day on the saddle)!
With that being, and despite remaining optimistic about travel in 2021, we understand you have questions about our policies, safety measures, and just general questions about future trips. We have compiled the following answers to some of those questions here.
Is my tour still running?
The outcome of tour departures is decided by at least 3 weeks prior to the scheduled tour date. Decisions to cancel tours are based on current travel bans/government-enforced restrictions. If you have not heard from us by at least 3 weeks prior to your scheduled tour date, you can assume that the tour is still running under strict sanitation and hygiene protocols. Should any changes arise, you will be contacted directly.
What if my country has a travel ban in place that prevents me from traveling to my destination?
In the case of a travel ban, it is imperative that you contact us to go over your options. In most cases, if you are unable to travel on your departure date due to travel ban/travel restrictions, a travel credit can be applied or a refund can be given. Be aware, you will need to reschedule and/or cancel all transfers/hotel rooms/extras not booked through us.
What if you/your local partner cancels the tour due to COVID-19?
If our local partner must cancel your tour due to COVID-19, you will be informed immediately and given the option of rebooking any Tripsite vacation for 2021/2022 or receiving a refund of any money paid.
What if I want to cancel my tour due to COVID-19?
If your tour has not been canceled by us, and there are no travel bans or border closures in place in the country where you are traveling, a cancellation on your end would incur the Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy. If you are unsure of the exact cancellation policy for your tour, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to send it to you.
What if I have to cancel my tour for other reasons?
Our standard Terms & Conditions apply. If you have money on account or credit with us, please contact us and we can walk you through your options.
Will I get a refund on my deposit if I decide not to travel?
Refunds are given for tours that must be canceled by us or our local partners. The standard Cancellation Policy will be applied for a tour cancelled directly by you, which may mean the loss of the deposit and other fees.
What about flights?
Please reach out to your airline or travel agent directly in regards to flights, as we do not make airfare arrangements.
What should I know about travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance from our trusted partners at RoamRight or Travel Guard. Both of these companies have information on what is/is not covered in reference to COVID-19. We strongly encourage you to review the details of each policy and talk to an experienced representative. They are the experts.

What types of safety measures can I expect?
The travel industry, including hotels, airports, airlines, and tour operators are implementing and following strict COVID-19 protocols including rigorous cleaning and disinfecting. A list of procedures and protocols for a specific tour can be requested at any time. Furthermore, this information will be included in your final travel information.
