What if I want to cancel my tour due to COVID-19?
If your tour has not been canceled by us, and there are no travel bans or border closures, and no mandatory quarantines in place in the country where you are traveling, a cancellation on your end would incur the Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy. Are there still Covid-related travel restrictions?
Most countries do not have any Covid - related travel restrictions, however it is your responsibility to check this before booking and before your tour is scheduled to depart. A great resource for American citizens is travel.state.gov.
What if I get Covid during my tour?
Covid-related policies vary per destination and tour type. We're happy to send tour-specific information by request. The most stringent example; if you present symptoms of Covid-19 while participating on a bike & boat tour, you may be asked by a crew member to self-test. If your test is positive, you may be asked to quarantine in your cabin, or even leave the ship. A travel insurance policy which covers unexpected hotel costs related to Covid-19 is recommended.
Is my tour still running?
The outcome of tour departures is decided by at least 3 weeks prior to the scheduled tour date. Decisions to cancel tours are based on current travel bans/government-enforced restrictions. If you have not heard from us by at least 3 weeks prior to your scheduled tour date, you can assume that the tour is still running under strict sanitation and hygiene protocols. Should any changes arise, you will be contacted directly.
What if my country has a travel ban in place that prevents me from traveling to my destination?
In the case of a travel ban, it is imperative that you contact us to go over your options. In most cases, if you are unable to travel on your departure date due to travel ban/travel restrictions, a travel credit can be applied or a refund can be given. Be aware, you will need to reschedule and/or cancel all transfers/hotel rooms/extras not booked through us.
What if you/your local partner cancels the tour due to COVID-19?
If our local partner must cancel your tour due to COVID-19, you will be informed immediately and given the option of rebooking any Tripsite vacation for 2022/2023 or receiving a refund of any money paid.
What if I have to cancel my tour for other reasons?
Our standard Terms & Conditions apply. If you have money on account or credit with us, please contact us and we can walk you through your options.
Will I get a refund on my deposit if I decide not to travel?
Refunds are given for tours that must be canceled by us or our local partners. The standard Cancellation Policy will be applied for a tour cancelled directly by you, which may mean the loss of the deposit and other fees.
My tour is booked, when will I receive my final invoice?
Your final invoice will be sent approximately 100 days before travel. Payment is due within 10 days of the final invoice date.
