Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Engelhartszell/Schlögen
Day 2: Schlögen - Linz, 35 mi. (56 km)
Day 3: Linz - Grein, 36 mi. (57 km)
Day 4: Ybbs - Gottsdorf - Spitz, 31 mi. (50 km)
Day 5: Spitz - Hainburg, 25 mi. (40 km)
Day 6: Hainburg - Vienna
Day 7: Vienna - Krems - Dürnstein - Melk - Pöchlarn, 30 mi. (48 km)

Day 1: Arrival in Engelhartszell
Please arrive in Engelhartszell by 5 pm as the ship casts off at 6:30 pm for your exciting bike and cruise itinerary along the mighty Danube River.Day 2: Schlögen - Linz, 35 mi. (56 km)
In the morning, you will receive your rental bikes and off you go. From the UNESCO world heritage Schlögener slope through the uninhabited Kaiserau to the baroque market Aschach and via Ottensheim to Linz, your first day is filled with everything that makes biking and boating so special. Lovely dedicated bike paths lead along the river through the Danubian landscape. At 5 p.m. you will enjoy a concert on the Bruckner organ, followed by dinner on board with a view of the interesting play of lights of the Lentos Art Museum.Day 3: Linz - Grein, 36 mi. (57 km)
Directly from the ship, the cycle track leads out of the EU-Cultural Capital of 2009 to the beautiful green landscape beyond. You pass Lake Pleschinger, the Pragstein Castle (gothic with a museum), the Walsee Castle (from the Hapsburg), and the Greinburg Castle (Sachsen-Coburg). The Primadonna waits moored in the baroque town of Grein. At approximately 5 pm, you will enjoy a Classic Hits concert in the Knights Hall of Greinburg. It is one of the largest uniformly vaulted Renaissance halls in Austria, filled with paintings from the 17th century.Day 4: Ybbs - Gottsdorf - Spitz, 31 mi. (50 km)
Starting from Ybbs/Persenbeug you cycle to Gottsdorf and Emmersdorf on the north riverbank of the Wachau and then some very well-known wine villages. The MS Primadonna will moor in Spitz for the evening. Surrounded by forests and vineyards, it is a lovely place for the night.Day 5: Spitz - Hainburg, 25 mi. (40 km)
After only a few cycling kilometers, close to the Donauauen, the first highlight awaits you, a guided tour through the hunting lodge of Eckartsau, the last residence of Kaiser Karl I and Zita in Austria. After that, you are cycling to the biggest of the six Marchfeld Castles, Castle Hof, which was once Prinz Eugen's country estate. It is very splendid with its unique baroque gardens and the idyllic estate (entry fee is approx. € 18 p.p.) You can cycle back on the same path or from Castle Hof, you can bike to the impressive bike bridge over the March and arrive in Slovakia. You can then continue to the Fortress Devin and further to Bratislava. On the Danube Cycle Path, you pass through Wolfsthal and and then Hainburg (+15 km).Day 6: Hainburg - Vienna
In the morning you will enjoy a guided city tour of Vienna (approx. 2 hours). . After lunch, you have time to visit the cosmopolitan city on your own. You will receive a detailed description of a bike tour through Vienna with your travel documents. The entrance fee to the treasure chamber in the Vienna Hofburg (imperial crown) is included.Day 7: Krems - Dürnstein - Melk - Pöchlarn, 30 mi. (48 km)
Before you leave Krems, it is worth taking a tour of the 1,000-year-old city. Then your itinerary leads to the legendary Dürnstein via the wine-growing areas Weißenkirchen, Spitz, and Willendorf to then Melk and Pöchlarn. Our tip: take the ferry to the southern bank in Spitz - and then following quiet side streets and through orchards, cycle to Melk.Day 8: Pöchlarn - Engelhartszell

In extreme situations, the shipping company reserves the right to cancel the journey on short notice. No legal right shall be constituted of both situations. (Water level is force majeure). The same applies for officially ordered - previously not announced - repair work on locks or bridges or in case of unexpected breakdown of engine or power unit.
Please be aware that these ships, like all other ships on the Danube, are not just your "floating hotels" but also a machine, running engines, also during the night. Especially crossing locks and bridges - and the preparation work - may cause noise. If you are sensitive to noises, please bring your own earplugs.

Skill Level — Easy
This is an easy, self guided bike and boat tour. Tour leaders are available on board in case of questions or problems. You’ll be following the mostly flat Danube Cycle path with average daily distances between 21 and 37 miles (34 and 59 km). Any day can be used as a day of rest.
Airport Info
Fly to Munich or Salzburg.
Local Travel
Train to Passau. From Munich airport, travel time is approximately 2½ hr. From Salzburg airport, travel time is approximately 3½-4 hr.

Day of Rest
Any day can be used as a day of rest by opting out of cycling and remaining on board. Day 7 is a designated rest day.
