*NOTE: E-bikes feature a small electrical engine and battery that assist and ease your pedaling but you still have to pedal yourself. While riding an e-bike can greatly contribute to the enjoyment of your trip, it is not intended for untrained cyclists as it is not easy to handle such a bike. The engine and battery make the bike much heavier than a regular bike and it also accelerates faster. Handling it well requires good basic cycling skills and confidence.
Gravel and Road Bikes
Gravel and cyclocross bikes can be ridden over a variety of terrain. They ride smoothly on asphalt surfaces as well as on gravel trails. The frames are light but extremely robust. The relatively wide tires provide good traction when cycling on loose surfaces. Below are examples of the gravel/cyclocross and road bikes offered. Specs vary by brand and bike types depend on availability. It is not possible to reserve a specific brand in advance but you can specify whether you want a road bike, road e-bike, or gravel/cyclocross bike.

Accessories
All bikes are equipped with a pannier bag. These are considered waterproof, however, please note that we can’t be held responsible or any damage that might be caused to any personal belongings like mobile phones, cameras etc. Helmets are available in limited numbers so these must be reserved in advance.
Our rental bikes are equipped with flat pedals. If you want to bring your own click pedals (or your own saddle – without the seat post), please bring them with you and let your tour guide attach them to your rental bike.
On all bicycle tours, it is mandatory to wear a helmet. In order to guarantee optimum protection, we request that you bring your own well-fitted helmet, and for your own safety, wear it on all bike tours. There are a limited amount of bike helmets that can be provided, free of charge if reserved prior to arrival.
