Following the success of her sister ships, Princesse Royal and the Magnifique II, Magnifique lll was launched in 2018, adding to her owner/captain's portfolio of designing and constructing deluxe ships. The partially covered sundeck with sun loungers and a hot tub provide is the perfect spot for relaxation. The tastefully decorated lounge with large panoramic windows, located on the upper deck is wonderfully inviting and the combined light-filled restaurant, bar, and lounge adds to the ambience.

We are always excited to add new boats to our program and were especially excited about this one., the deluxe MAGNIFIQUE III. The 21 cabins of the ship are divided on the lower and upper deck and include 5 upper deck suites.

14 regular twin cabins (approx. 12 m²/129 sq. ft.) 2 single beds as twins, next to each other)

Portholes cannot be open for safety reason

Upper deck

5 upper deck suites (approx. 16 m²/172 sq. ft.) with a small sitting area and 'French Balcony'. This is a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door that can partly open. The suites have 2 single beds as twins, next to each other.
Spacious salon with large windows combines a restaurant area, bar, and lounge
2 screens (a camera and a navigation system) to see the real time position of the barge

In most cabins and all suites, on prior request, the beds can be set together as a double be. On request, an additional third bed is available in one of the suites and one of the twin cabins for children up to age 16 (a pullman bed, above one of the other beds).

Bicycle rental is included in tour pricing but is optional. Guests are also allowed to bring their own bicycles (discount will apply). However, the crew or tour operators are NOT responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of such. In the Netherlands and Belgium, cyclists are not obligated by law to wear a bike helmet. There are bike helmets available onboard at no charge, but please request them when booking.

Available on request for an additional fee.
E-bikes feature a small electric motor and battery that assist with pedaling, but you still have to pedal yourself. While riding an e-bike can greatly enhance your trip's enjoyment, it is not intended for untrained cyclists, as it is not easy to handle. The engine and battery make the bike much heavier than a regular bike, and it also accelerates faster. Handling it well requires good basic cycling skills and confidence.
Other bikes (e.g. bikes with back pedal brakes, children’s bikes, “slip streamers”, tandems, etc.) and rear child seats may be possible upon request and are in very limited numbers.

Our bike tour guides, Brian and Diede, were incredible - we learned so much about the local culture, saw beautiful scenery including lush farmland, quaint villages and bustling cities. Daily briefings prepared us for what was to come and gave us an opportunity to ask questions. I am not an experienced cyclist but with the guides assistance I was quickly comfortable riding with the group and so enjoyed every moment. The boat and our suite were clean and comfortable, the crew was very friendly and helpful, there were always healthy food options and delicious meals. Instead of riding a bike, if one wanted to stay on the boat and watch the beautiful scenery go by, read a book, write in a journal, etc., that was always an option. This trip is a memory I will treasure forever.

Spectacular tulips, windmills, and countryside. Keukenhof gardens. Just the right amount of biking (50km/day). Boat size was excellent and gave us plenty of opportunity to get familiar with almost all the passengers. Guides were excellent ... we especially were familiar with MarieJose since we rode with her the 3 days. Suggestions: Might have mentioned to boost ebike's assist up to Sport or Turbo on the first day ... no sense trying to conserve battery since there was plenty. I'm not sure I saw pre-trip information tell us there'd be a bike bag ... not a big deal but it would have changed my choice of backpacks I brought. Maybe nametags would help ease into conversations with fellow passengers ... and phonetically spelled nametags for the crew too.

The Staff, the Food, the towns we visited were amazing. The rooms on board exceeded our expectations with amenities found in premium hotels. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it’s essentially a 4 day experience with really only 3 days of cycling. IE: Day one board at 2pm with no cycling day 5 disembark at 9am with no cycling. A better description of the actual experience would be my recommendation.

Crew was great, food good but the hybrid bikes were terrible. They were old and meant for city riding not longer bike tours. Unforgivable considering the high price for trip. We also find it strange that our bike guide never wore a helmet.

The bike and boat along the Moselle River was beautiful. The boat, the Magnifique III was spacious and comfortable and crew happy and very helpful. The bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. The stops were well planned and the guides informative. one guide, Hetty, was exceptional. The pace was relaxed and enjoyable. The dining was plentiful, varied and very good.

My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous time! The sightseeing was wonderful, the bike riding was lovely, the culture and history lessons were informative, and the fellow passengers and staff were all fabulous. The Magnifique III boat is incredible… and the food!!! Exceeded all expectations.
My only comment for consideration is regarding the choice of an e-bike or regular bike. My husband and I rode regular bikes. About 3/4 of the group did e-bikes. You travel as a group so I was a little nervous about keeping up with everyone, but I did OK. That said, riding for 25+ miles per day for a week is a lot, even if you’re in decent shape. If you enjoy the challenge of exercise, by all means go regular bike. If you want to be more relaxed so you can enjoy the scenery, I recommend e-bike.

The Boat was very comfortable. The crew were amazing! They were always smiling, quick to fill requests or anticipate needs. Very hard working and clearly worked as a team. The chef did an excellent job with the food.
Riding bikes in then Netherlands is a dream. The country is so bike focused.
There were a couple of times that could have been improved or communication could have been better.
I feel we wasted a lot of potential exploration time in Antwerp due to waiting hours for a bridge to be raised. I know this is not the fault of the Captain or crew but I do think that an alternate way for getting us to Antwerp could have been found, a water taxi or even disembark and hop on a bus. We were so so close to the city but were stuck on the boat.
Additionally time in Ghent was minimal as the boat did not stay in Ghent
Overall the trip was very enjoyable.

There are two aspects to the trip: the booking with Tripsite, and the actual tour.
As for the TripSite portion, I would rate it C minus, primarily because of the lack of transparency in pricing. They price in euros, but obtain payments in dollars. I found their exchange rate was very poor, on par with the worst ATMs in Europe. They charged about 7-7.5% above the official exchange rate. Shame on your, Tripsite!
As for the tour portion, I'd rate it a B. The Magnifique III boat , crew and accommodations were very nice, and the food was excellent. The tour guides were quite good, though I was a bit disappointed that they insisted on us staying with the group -- there were times I wanted t heard off on my own with the Ride GPS app, and my recollection of the advertisement was that we would be able to go off on our own if desired. The mileage each day was appropriate, though there were a couple people on the tour who should have opted for the ebike, since they had a difficult time keeping up with the rest of the group. The bike pace was quite reasonable.

UNESCO Kinderdijk windmills visit was very special on the bike tour. I enjoyed each major city, too.
Tripsite gave excellent information.
Sometimes I felt rushed to leave for the morning bike ride. Perhaps the bike tour guides could have checked out the skill level of those on E bikes as well.

The weather in. Amsterdam was very cooperative . The boat crew and the bike tour leaders were all incredibly helpful and congenial. I was excited about seeing the tulips in April in Amsterdam at the Kooken, and I was not disappointed! I will definitely do another bike tour in the future.

I thought the guides and crew did an excellent job. The rooms were comfortable and the biking portion was excellent the food was great and everything was very accommodating. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars was that the booking process and status updates were a bit more confusing than what we are used to. We should have been able to log in to check our account status and to check the details of the trip. The final documents were only provided a month before the trip and well after the final payment had been made. It added to the confusion prior to the excursion and also made us uneasy about whether the trip would be pleasurable. Work on developing a better website with better interaction.

The weather was perfect and the tulip day was beautiful. The E bikes were very easy to use and safer than the model I have been using at home. The guides were kind and considerate of everyone in the group. I appreciated that the route, etc. was modified according to the level of the participants. I’m sure others appreciated that they could do some rides self guided. I appreciated that I could pay extra and be assured of a gluten-free diet. I could not have managed the trip without that. The staff were all professional and congenial. I noticed that they worked very hard to keep the ship clean and working well..

The scenery along the Mosel River was spectacular and the heritage buildings and the history associated with them was both interesting and educational. The friendships that developed along the course of the trip added to our enjoyment and memories. The food was excellent although possible less in the way of trying to produce high end dishes and providing more in the way of comfort foods especially during the cold and rainy weather soups and stews would have been appreciated.

We didn't receive information soon enough about your recommendation to fly in and out of Frankfurt - our travel time was more difficult and longer than necessary. The information you sent was great but way too late to impact our travel.
We loved the trip and were only well prepared for weather because of information we received from someone who had done it this time of year before. Again more information sooner than a month before....

The vibe on the boat was great! The chef was amazing, and so accommodating to my food allergy! Two great bike tour-guides!
Suggestions - budget for at least one beverage included for dinner. It was a nice treat on the first and last day to have a complimentary drink pairing. The wifi on the boat was really bad; I know we were warned that it might not be strong, but it just didn't work most of the time. That was frustrating, not being able to communicate with family, check the scores of Eurocup games, etc.

The Magnifique III was great. It is a barge, so don’t expect The Ritz, but for instance, It’s much nicer than most chartered Catamarans in the British Virgin Isles.
Meals were delicious and plentiful. The chef did an amazing job feeding us a great variety of tasty meals.
Most importantly, the guides were great. They had a great sense of humor and managed the various personalities, skill levels, expectations and behaviors diplomatically and graciously.

Another biking trip of a lifetime and this time on the beautiful Magnifique III. What a beautiful ship, terrific crew, great chef and awesome bike guides. Biking from Bruges, Belgium to Amsterdam was just fantastic.

The most memorable part of the trip was being in Amsterdam during Kings Day. So fun to celebrate with all the people of the country. Also, enjoyed riding the bike through all the beautiful towns.. it was a wonderful experience.
