Biking along the coastline was wonderful. We made plenty of stops so we were able to walk around and take photos. Our guides did an excellent job along the Route. All our hotels are very good.

What an amazing trip down the coast of Portugal. The views were amazing, loved the unique hotels/resorts we stayed at and the bikes were great! The difficulty rating for this trip is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. We felt it should have been higher with all the gravel, dirt and sand vs the easy to moderate rating it was given.

Biking is the right speed to enjoy everything the Camino has to offer - rural, urban, small towns, seaside dunes, and forests.
The crew at TripSite and locally were very professional and responded to queries expeditiously. Alberto did a great job setting us up the bikes and the GPS unit (which kept us on the right path over 280 km. The route was well planned and fun to follow - we did the self-guided tour and were able to stop whenever and wherever we wanted to.

We did the self guided tour and loved that the gps was programmed through forest roads, rural areas and along the pilgrimage trail. Entire experience was top notch and we will use tripsite again for our next bike adventure !

Traveling along the coastline with beautiful views. Lodgings were very good. The leaders were attentive, helpful and knowledgeable.

The ride is listed as easy to moderate. Our group consisted of strong and experienced road and mountain/ gravel riders, but most were in their 70s. We found it at least a moderate ride and not for beginners. There were long steep hills and some difficult gravel stretches. For this group, e-bikes are recommended.

The beautiful coastline, wine tour and tasting, the fado singers, the tour of Amalia’s home, were fabulous highlights. If I had to pick just one, it would be the guided tour of the famous fado singer Amália.

We had a great time. As avid cyclists, and ones that do cycle vacations often, we found this one to be a little more challenging then we thought. We had unless wrong turns and the various terrain was a big challenge. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and we loved visiting the different towns and the culture.

Just biking through the vineyards, olive and cork farms was amazing. Biking through the small villages was a great experience.

I loved the cycling, our accommodations were excellent especially the farm guest homes, and our guides were very friendly. It was great to have swimming pools at several hotels. I especially liked Lucca and Sienna. What would have made this trip better was having more participants. There were only four of us. Our guide, Antonio, was very nice especially towards the end of our trip when he shared information about the farms and vineyards, etc. and at our final dinner. However, I think our pace was too fast and it left me and others struggling to keep up. I think a slower pace and more frequent stops to talk about the environment and maybe take photos would have made the tour better. I also thought the bikes were not of the same quality as in previous tours. Mine had very squeaky brakes.

This was the highlight of our holiday. great support. great way to see the country. only regret was having a few extra days. Highly recommend this tour. The app with the tour maps was very easy to follow and therefore stress free.

Memorable was the first farm we stayed at with the 2000 year old trees and stories of an archeological dig. We were very grateful for the interpreter that the tour provided at that first farm stay.

The lodging was outstanding in every location. It was easy to get to restaurants and museums from our old town locations.

We did extra days in Matera before the ride and we were very glad we did.

We had a language mixup. They asked if we wanted a twin rooms or a double. And I assumed twin meant putting two twins together for us. But it actually meant two places to sleep as if Steve and I were not a couple. If they would have asked, do you sleep separately and want separatel beds I would have understood. So many of our accommodations had the couch made up or an extra bed in the room. It was a waist

We could have used a paneer. They asked us to haul the charger with us on the bikes. That, the tools, the pump, the extra tube... There wasn't much room for stashing jackets and rain gear. We both broke the strap on the top of the back bag trying to fit our jacket under it.

Great scenery along the Adige River valley. Some great hiking in the Oberbolzana area.

This was our first tour planned by someone else and our first on electric bikes. It was fantastic. The service was incredible. When we had a minor issue with a bike (a pedal broke!), they sent someone out in a taxi with pedals. We felt totally supported even though it was not a group ride. We loved the castles, rivers, riding through the countryside seeing sugar beets and onions being harvested. The towns and town squares were incredible!

Our lodging locations and accommodations were awesome. We stayed one night at an Olive Farm with a few 2,000 year old trees and ancient ruins were discovered right on the property. The tour provided an interpreter for the evening so we could learn about the trees and the ruins. Fascinating.

We also very much enjoyed Matera. We booked extra days there and we were very glad we did. The cave homes and churches we incredible to see and explore. Our accomodations there were so convenient to walk less than a block to see the Sassi, enjoy restaurants and shops.

The one draw back is the reliance on GPS when we were going through the old cities with tall buildings we would constantly be struggling to find our way.

Stay away from the mud, it is very sticky clay.

Extraordinary Cycling Experience from Lucca to Florence!

Cycling from Lucca to Florence (over 200+ miles) was both a rewarding challenge and an absolutely awesome adventure! We pedaled through iconic Renaissance and Medieval gems like Lucca, Vinci, San Gimignano, and Siena, while also winding past countless smaller, charming towns. Along the way, we treated ourselves to amazing local delicacies and, of course, the region's famous red Chianti wine. Our incredible journey finally wrapped up in beautiful Florence.
What truly made this trip special was our guiding team, who were there to help with every single issue and question along the way:
• Michael (Cycling Guide): Michael brought a wonderful, deeply personal touch to the tour. Because we were a small group, he carefully tailored his advice and comments to match each of our individual cycling levels. He showed immense patience with all of us and made sure absolutely everyone felt clear and confident on the road.
• Antonio (Guide & Route Planner): Antonio is the mastermind behind the itinerary, guiding us along truly incredible trails and roads around each town. His deep knowledge of Italy's history is incredibly impressive! While his patience could run a bit short—especially when we found ourselves in a few tight spots or troubleshooting on the trail—he had a lot of different personalities to manage in our group, and he deserves a ton of credit for keeping us moving and safe.
Overall, it was an extraordinary experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to see Tuscany on two wheels!

This was a custom tour from Blois to Saumur. It was our 4th trip with your company, and not up to your prior standards.
-the ap had no useful info for places to eat (it marked every place w no useful descriptions) and we ended up often in low quality touristy restaurants though we occasionally found better ones just by luck.
-Blois, especially in the area we stayed is no place to stay for 2 nights (or really even one night). It is dingy and dirty and depressed.
-all the hotels were clean in the rooms but shabby and tired and dirty in common areas, and this was despite paying for the upgrade to superior hotels.
-I would be interested in hearing back from you on how this happened. thank you

This was a great tour, very well organized and executed by the tour team, headed by Jordy and Kris on the bikes and Bob as captain of the ship. The ship was beautiful and clean, the bikes excellent, and the places visited, memorable. Food on board was excellent. Would go again.

We enjoyed our tour and especially Felipe our guide. Sergio also was above and beyond very helpful with providing medical assistance for supples for my Type 1 diabetes. Our guide Felipe was very attentive to our dietary needs during our daily rides.
All of our lodging experiences were above our expectation's, wonderful breakfasts. However it would have been beneficial for our guide to be staying in the same hotels.
Having time to have more experiences within the cities we stayed at, perhaps a few guided tour options in the evenings.
Bike tour scenery was amazing and the overall bike ride was challenging.

Excellent experience. I traveled alone from Colombia. I took the Prague to Passau tour. Communication was excellent, as was the bike (I requested a gravel bike). The hotels were good; they were all bike-friendly (they had a designated area to park the bike). Highly recommended.
You really need at least one more day in Prague. Also, Cesky Krumlov is a lovely city, would reach as soon as possible to aproach the day.

Very dissatisfied with the trip as a whole. I am requesting a REFUND for the trip as we did not get what was stated in the 8 day, self guided Tour.
1. Did NOT stop in SINES as suggested, due to a bike race, roads closed off so had to start 10km further down the road from our starting point. (I am sure the race would have been booked months in advance, therefore Tripsite should have anticipated this). Vague instructions and impersonable from the person who picked us up (information session should have been at our hotel however we were ubered to another hotel and put right on the bus, (No conversation/communication at all, poor customer service!!!) from Lisbon to "Sines". I know it was a self guided tour but not impressed.
2. Course is NOT Easy to Moderate (many hills and unrideable trails) : we all are experienced bikers, however the trails were horrendous and hard to navigate. These are NOT bike trails!!....gravel, sand (lots), rocks, uneven trails with minimal paved roads. We had to walk our bikes up mutiple/several hills due to the poor conditions! Would not recommend this tour to anyone at all! We had to use APPLE MAPS because the routes that were given were unmanageable and the GPS given wasn't working well, at the best of times and not very user friendly. I would hihgly suggest you send someone from Tripsite to bike on the trails and you would understand what is going on.

2. No one checked in on us at all throughout the trip. One person had fallen, bruised, scraped legs and arms. No support at all. No first Aid Kit supplied! No one had followed up when been informed on how the person was or even if the bike was still workable.

3. Last hotel, in Lagos (on the "list of hotels") we biked to and was informed we had no reservations "Cascade Wellness and Lifestyle Resort". All other hotels were accurate on the list except for this one. Why??? we had to bike another 2km to go to other Hotel Nh....not happy. Very stressful after an unpleasant 8 days.
2 of the hotels were subpar the other were good.

4. I had also infromed you I was GLUTEN INTOLERANT therefore, for Breakfast I expected accomodations however there were only 2 hotels that could, with very minimal options (no carbs to eat....not good when biking every day)

We had booked with Tripsite before and were very happy (Croatia, Bike and Barge, excellent trip) and that is why we had booked with you once again. As stated above, I am requesting a refund as for what we paid for and what we got is unacceptable.

The bike path was very interesting and varied, even with 80% being on gravel. Loved riding beside the Inn River every day. It became a faithful friend. The accommodation was great quality and well chosen for an enjoyable meal each evening. The rides around St Moritz lakes on the first day was a treat. Riding late September meaning it was very cold on the bikes until around 12pm. Highly recommend the ride.

It was a fantastic trip, but the group was too small, which left us without a sweeper, which put undue pressure on me to keep up the pace, for fear of losing the group.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable tour. The maps/guides were good and easy to follow. There were a couple of instances where there were detours, but it was easy enough to get back on track as the guide had a feature to return to the route. The hotels were generally modest, but clean and comfortable; no complaints. The breakfasts were all quite satisfactory. The ebike was pre-configured to my height, it was clean, well-maintained, in good working order, although it was a very heavy machine. The battery stored enough for several days ridding. For someone in their mid-seventies, the 50-60 km per day was doable as the terrain was mostly flat and the power assist came in handy towards the end of the day, especially as a couple of the hotels were higher up off the valley floor. The scenery covered rural, vineyards, quaint villages, industrial, but always there was the river. This trip has encouraged me to consider other river-side trips.

Cycling Puglia – The Heel of Italy: A Mixed Experience

I was thrilled about this cycling tour of the Heel of Italy after seeing the beautiful pictures and descriptions from the cycling agency. However, my expectations were a bit too high, and the experience had its ups and downs.

Accommodation: We were told our accommodations had been upgraded. Two of the properties, Putignano and Ostuni, were four-star establishments in terms of comfort, location, service, and food. Atrevana was equally comfortable, though the location was a bit of a challenge to reach. The scenery was spectacular, and the service was amazing, but the quality and quantity of meals served deserved only three stars. Monopoli accommodations got two stars because of limited space and a sketchy staircase to the downstairs bathroom with a rope handrail. On the positive side, all the accommodations, except Atrevana, were conveniently located near town centres, attractions, restaurants, and other amenities, making exploring the area easy and enjoyable.

Cycling Routes and Scenery: The cycling routes were quite challenging, especially since many of the paved roads were old and damaged, making for an uneven and sometimes uncomfortable ride. I had hoped to enjoy more of Puglia’s stunning coastline, as shown on the website, but unfortunately, most days took us inland. The olive groves were beautiful and impressive, with ancient olive trees that were truly spectacular. Their age, character, and history were remarkable, and I appreciated their significance to the region. However, after three or four days of cycling through olive groves, the scenery started to feel repetitive. I would have loved more variety, especially more opportunities to cycle along the coast and enjoy the beautiful Adriatic landscape.

One of the trip’s highlights was Sophie’s exceptional service. She promptly answered our questions and consistently helped throughout the process, making her a pleasure to work with.

While there were certainly memorable moments, the tour didn’t quite meet my expectations. More comfortable and consistently maintained accommodations, a wider variety of cycling routes, and particularly scenic coastal views could greatly enhance the experience.

The remote towns and villages. I would recommend better rider navigational aids including written routes with distances and/or gps compatible files.
