· Tulip Tour - 7 day
Bicycling past the flower-growing fields was a magical experience.
- When did you take this tour?
- April 2025
- How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
- It was easier than I was led to expect. I'm not an expert cyclist, nor have I been bicycling a lot in recent years, but I still found the riding easy, probably because of using an e-bike, although I didn't use its power assistance very much at all.

We loved going to the Keukenhof. Joan and Bettina were excellent leaders, kept us well informed of the day's activities. Very helpful when any problems occured. Excellent meals on this trip. Our chef was superb. Our tour of FloraHolland was very good and worthwhile.
- When did you take this tour?
- April 2025
- How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
- We were well prepared for the trip and our ability to keep up with others. My only hesitation was compared with other trips we've been on with TripSite, there was too much city riding. But given the location of the tour, I'm not sure that could have been avoided?

This trip was absolutely amazing. The rides were so much fun, especially with the guides (Corrie and Jeroen) who had so much energy and were just great company. I was also pleasently surprised by how comfortable the rooms were. Since it is a boat I was expecting them to be a lot tighter, but my husband and I were very comfortable. We were also in awe about the food served in the boat, the chef Sidi made delicious dishes all presented incredibly well. It honestly felt like a fine dinning experience.
We've been recomending this trip to everyone we know!
- When did you take this tour?
- March - April 2025
- How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
- The trip was easier then expected, and I was able to complete every trip even after having hurt my knee the week before the trip. The wind, however, can make it challenging. So if you are not used to biking, the electric bike is the right call!

· Along the Danube - Four Country Tour
Being able to see the country side at a leisurely pace with our friends. Stopped to visit the goats and trail side coffee shops. One of the most memorable of any of our trips was the boat leaving Budapest at night. A sight we will never forget. Food on board was very good and service was great. The only issue we had was we were a large group of 18 that sat at 3 tables and we were asked to not change places but we missed out visiting with our other friends. We liked it so much we came home and booked another trip with Tripsite

· Kvarner Bay
This was our first boat and bike experience and we absolutely loved the whole experience! It’s the best way to see intimate details of a country, especially off the beaten path non touristy locations only accessible by boat in Kvarner Bay. The Linda is a very charming older boat and maybe not as fancy as some other boat options but it was very comfortable and we feel gave a more authentic liveaboard experience. The boat staff and bike guides were incredible!!!!! Because of the higher difficulty level (moderate to difficult) of this particular trip it seems to draw a more vibrant, adventurous and fun spirited cyclists! We had a blast with all passengers aboard! Made new friendships from around the world! As novice cyclers, we thankfully chose to ride E-bikes, as there are many long steep climbs that we pretty much breezed up them. Half our group, which are very experienced mountain bikers, rode traditional bikes and they got a workout for sure but they welcomed the challenge. All the meals aboard were wonderful and served family style. Early fall is the ideal cycling temperature and we found the water still plenty warm for swimming. Can’t wait to do another boat and bike trip!

· Rhine River Valley E-Bike & Boat
Traveling by e-bike and boat along the Rhine felt like a luxury adventure with a touch of home. The wine regions reminded me of the rolling vineyards of Limburg, but the diversity here—Alsace, Breisgau, and Basel—was extraordinary. The cycling was easy and enjoyable.

My partner and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore three countries in one trip! Cycling along the Rhine was magical, with its lush vineyards and the majestic passage of Loreley being standout moments. The food was incredible—whether it was the Swiss chocolate, German sausages, or Alsatian pastries, every bite felt like a discovery. Basel’s Three Countries Corner was fascinating, and the medieval charm of Mainz was equally captivating. The guides made everything seamless. A perfect mix of culture, food, and nature!

This e-bike and boat tour along the Rhine was a dream come true! The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking, from the picturesque wine villages to the historic castles perched along the riverbanks. Each stop was rich in culture—Strasbourg Cathedral and Colmar’s Gothic art were personal highlights. And the food! Sampling local wines and regional dishes like tarte flambée in Alsace was an unforgettable experience. The stress-free e-biking made it accessible and enjoyable, even for someone like me who’s not an avid cyclist. Highly recommend this tour for its perfect balance of relaxation and adventure!

· Bruges to Amsterdam
Finally getting around to a review from this past summer. We had great weather, and the biking was great. We learned a lot with our guide and allowed us a different point of view as travelers. Thank you! As for the ship, it was clean and comfortable, and Emile, the chef, was amazing! He put a lot of effort into accommodating everyone's dietary needs/concerns, not to mention the food was delicious! He handled the rude customers very well, and maintained professionalism even when they were extremely unreasonable. He went above and beyond with customer service and because of him, my time onboard was fantastic. If we go again, we want to ensure he will be the chef during our tour. The other staff members were very friendly and would sit with us all and join in on the fun. It is a trip I would recommend to all my friends.

· Mantova to Venice or Venice to Mantova
The trip was made more enjoyable by having a great tour guide, Hein. His local knowledge of history, culture and traffic patterns proved to be invaluable. The boat staff overall were also very accommodating and the food preparation superb. Even when we had a slight water leak in our cabin during overnight heavy rain, the crew expressed concern and responded quickly to the issue. Some suggestions for future tours include: 1) Providing name tags for the guests on the first day 2) Look into ways to improve the air flow within the cabins.
Overall we could recommend this tour and look forward to our next adventure.

The most memorable part, has to be parts plural. Loved the biking through the country and small towns, seeing people harvesting olives, drinking local grappa and coffee, walking thru the ports, listening to the sea organ in Zadar, swimming in a isolated bay from the boat. How can you pick one?

· Cycling from Paris to Bruges
All parts of the trip were memorable. One of the few boat/bike tours that does your laundry. Bring extra pair of warm underwear if doing it in October. Alcohol, sodas, diet sodas, tea, and snacks always available. Coffee almost always available. Crew was like friends and they went out of the way to cater to individual needs. I would do this trip again. I brought extra protein powder, sometimes European meals don't have enough. I had a GoPro strapped to my chest during bike rides and I could start it, stop it, and take a video or picture all with voice commands. I couldn't believe the number of castles, churches, war memorials, not to mention docking in Auvers the village where Van Gogh lived. Saw his grave and the meadow he painted the crows. I would/will do this trip again. I did Paris to Bruge, but either way should be nice. Great vegetarian options in the bigger towns (this is just a rule of thumb for all europe).

The name says it all, it truly felt like an Authentic Holland experience. Riding into a new Dutch town everyday felt like uncovering a hidden gem each time. The Magnifique II provided a warm and cozy place we called home for the week, an absolutely beautiful ship with a top notch crew. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

The trip was well- organized. A detailed itinerary was sent prior to boarding and it provided adequate information re: what to expect on a daily basis and what equipment was required. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The staff on board the boat were also friendly and responded quickly to requests. The food was great with adequate portions for all. The bikes were well taken care of and in good shape. Prior to the trip, staff from TripSite provided quick responses to questions. You could easily do this trip on a normal bike if in good physical shape. The optional guided tours at various ports were informative and added value to the trip. There was enough downtime each day as we travelled to new ports.

We were extremely unhappy with this trip. We were told by the bike/barge crew that Tripsite subcontracted our Avignon barge/bike trip with another company. Unfortunately, Tripsite didn't inform us of this change. The bike/barge trip we signed up for was advertised as "Easy to Moderate". The bike tour was NOT Easy to Moderate. In fact, our bike tour leader advised us that this trip was rated as "Moderate to Difficult". As a result, we weren't able to ride everyday due to the difficulty of the terrain. The barge we stayed on was extremely humid and damp. The bedsheets, towels and floor in our room were constantly damp even with running the AC all day and night. Every morning, there was standing water on the floor of our room. We had to constantly mop up the water on our room's floor--even with the AC continuously running. Very disappointed with this trip!

This trip fulfilled our expectations wonderfully. The guides were great, kept us moving, gave interesting history at stops along the route and always were helpful and friendly. The food was first class and the suite was fine. One suggestion - bring a Tupperware type dish to put your lunch (sandwich, cheese, olives etc) into. You’ll be very grateful you did!

We have so many great memories of our trip that it is hard to pin down an "absolute favorite". Here are some of our best and most favorites memories, in no particular order of importance! The staff was so welcoming and helpful, we felt connected to all of them right from the start! The bike riding was fantastic--the ease of the e bikes, to the scenery, and then the visits at the historical sites such as the Roman mosaic, the Puerta Nigra, and the bunker from WWI in the farmer's field, we thought we had the best guides and were very well informed about the details of our day. Our accommodations aboard the Iris were comfortable, clean and well maintained. The other passengers were a lot of fun, and we felt comfortable spending time with each group. I cannot say enough about the food! We all looked forward to our excellent dinner after a long day of cycling, and the breakfasts were filling and tasty, every time! One day, after a 35-mile ride, some of the other passengers decided to continue for another 12 miles, but many of us chose to stay on the barge. The captain welcomed us into the wheelhouse and we were educated on how to operate the barge while going through a lock and dam!

I loved riding through the vineyards at harvest. The ride was mostly along the river and not on roads! The guides and hostess personnel were the best! So helpful and friendly, They were cheerful and fun every day. I must admit this trip was a bit of a disappointment: 1. Bikes were not very good--It is a bike trip (the bikes must work!). 2. Our room had recently flooded and it smelled of mold and mildew. 3. I had requested a vegan diet and they did not let me know they could not accommodate this request until I was already in Europe. The cook tried, but he didn't understand the difference between vegan and gluten free. I took another tour in Italy and it had none of these issues, so I would like to give Tripsite another chance. Spend money on bikes, it is important. I am a plant-based dietitian and published author--I would be happy to consult with your cooks to assist them in making quick and easy delicious vegan meals.

We enjoyed this tour so much! We were one of the last tours of the season, late September, which ended up being the perfect time to go as the weather was not too hot. It was ideal for cycling. It was less ideal for swimming, but we still managed to have a few opportunities for water fun. We also ended up with a really fun group of people on our boat, so that definitely added to our enjoyment. Ebikes were a huge plus for the long climbs. Those on regular bikes in our group were pretty wiped out each day. We had two guides, Mirta and Kristopher, and they were excellent! They gave us good information about each stop. The boat was an older, wooden boat, but the rooms were comfortable the rooftop deck was a huge plus! Nearly everyone we encountered spoke English and most signs with in both English and Croatian. It was a very easy country to get around in and experiencing some of the islands by boat and bike was a spectacular way to go!

Every part of our trip was Enjoyable! The bikes were comfortable and easy to use, the rides were not too strenuous but rather “ a good day on a bike”. The routes gave us an Immersive look at the country side. Our guides were Fun and helpful. The staff of the ship went above and beyond and even provided a cake and a celebration for my husband’s Birthday!! Truly , a Bike and Barge trip is the Best way to see the Country! I could have turned around on the last day and started Another Trip! Thank you to our Wonderful Crew on the Magnifique I!!!!
