The route was varied, mountains the first half of the week then the coast the second (of course we were lucky with the weather). Food was great in various places. Hotels, especially along the coast, were very nice.

A good experience of a less well-known part of Europe to many tourists, especially Americans (Cadiz is well known but not the other parts of the Spanish Atlantic coast.

We had a great small group with our guides Telmo and Jian. Jian was very knowledgeable and Telmo took excellent care of us all. He is an exceptional guide. We had a wonderful time and really challenged ourselves. We had some great stops enroute and really enjoyed these side trips and surprises. Very well planned.
I would upgrade the difficulty of parts of this trip as Moderate to Difficult. We had one extremely long day with some very challenging climbs and descents on rough terrain with a sheer drop on one side. The soft sand and deep ruts in some areas could be difficult to manoeuvre as well.
Our accommodations ranged from excellent to unsatisfactory. Four beautiful, and three not so nice. An alternative choice would have been nice for the three substandard ones.
One suggestion would be to have an easy first day to get used to the bikes and the terrain. Maybe it was but it took a couple of rides for me to feel confident on the EBike.
All in all I would highly recommend this trip. The scenery is spectacular!

The scenery was amazing, the food was outstanding, and the group of riders and guides we were with really made the trip special. The roads were a mix of paved and dirt, hilly and flat, some, especially on the first few days, were bit sandy, enough to have to walk it in some short sections, but overall a good, well-planned route. I highly recommend this tour, it's one of our favorites!

the bike rides were great. The service was good and the staff was wonderful. We can't wait to return next year.

We ar booked for the Best of Tuscany bike tour on Sept 16,2024. Our daughter Carly booked it for my husband, myself, and her. I’m just curious how many are you up to now on that week. We are so looking forward to coming to Italy.

We were glad we took an e yea day in Bergerac.
We would have liked to receive the detailed booklet with information about sites to see on the route much earlier than our arrival in Bordeaux! We would have planned differently
For others: be aware you have to reserve a spot at each Lascaux cave. We didn’t know this, and unfortunately we’re not able to go to any of them.

The 3 day tour was a great introduction to bicycle touring. Day 3 was the most memorable day as most of the path was next to the river riding into Passau. Next time I would consider an E bike to make sure I had enough energy for sightseeing at the end of the day.
Hotel stays were comfortable and the breakfasts were tasty.

The memorable part of the trip were the WWI sites including the beaches, American cemetery, and the German fortifications. If you plan to go to Point du Hoc to see the cliffs the army rangers climbed, note the navigation tool does not include this add on. We traveled on some scenic roads to get there and then heading to Omaha Beach found a bike path along the cliffs that took us right to Omaha Beach. This was actually backwards because we did not want to be at the beach at high tide. So if you are traveling the route the suggested way you will find the path to Point du Hoc at the end of Omaha Beach. We stayed in Bayeux and loved the town with its great restaurants. The navigation tool was a bit of a hassle because had to keep going out and coming back into the ap to see whether or not we were still on the route. Even so it was a great trip. Oh and highly recommend the e-bikes because where most of the ride was fairly level, we encountered some pretty long hills several times.

This is a wonderful trip and you definitely need e-bikes. The scenery is really nice and the bikes we had were simply amazing. We have e-bikes at home and the Scott e-bikes were far superior to ours. There are steep up and downs and easily half are on paths. Also, you come across a lot of walkers and you’ll need to work your way past them but you just have to be patient at times when the path is wet or narrow. Everyone was super nice in allowing us to pass. You do need more than basic riding skills for this ride. The hotels were great, the people along the way were awesome and locals are super. There are plenty of places to stop and get something to eat or drink along the way. The bike shop that sets up everything did a great job with the daily check ins, transfers to/from the airport and the GPS maps. They gave us a small GPS that proved very valuable and the routes took us to the hotel each day. The cathedral in Santiago was jaw dropping. To get in (free) it’s around the side.
We loved this and would encourage anyone to consider it. We did the 9 day and we were really glad we did as the 40 mile day would’ve been too much with the trails.

How many castles and what is the schedule for this tour?

The farm house was a beautiful environment, the small group made for cozy chats in the evenings. We enjoyed the daily rides through small villages. A special treat was a day to kayak on the lake. The staff were all friendly and wonderful.

This is an amazing tour in the interior region of South Africa – we all loved it! It is a perfect balance of biking, safari game drives/nature walks, and other local cultural sights/tours. Every day was an adventure and we visited beautiful places with spectacular scenery. The experiences in the private game reserves as well as Kruger Park provided ample opportunity to see the African animals – we were lucky enough to see four of the Big Five and have a nature walk with cheetahs!

Lizelle, the tour director, was brilliant in taking care of the logistics - she is a very skilled biking guide and a wonderful cook. Wendel, the tour guide, has an incredible knowledge of region’s natural world and provided so much context to all the sights we were experiencing. These two leaders were welcoming and accommodating always ensuring that we were well taken care of and safe.

Three of us opted for e-bikes and it made the trip super enjoyable as we did encounter a few hills. We also opted for the three-day extension in Buffelshoek Camp which was another adventure of staying in a bush camp and experiencing long safari game drives. If you like biking and are planning on visiting South Africa, I would highly recommend this tour – it was fantastic!

Our party of 4 had an amazing time on this tour. We loved the cycling and each day was different. The accommodations that we stayed in were all comfortable and had amazing breakfasts!
You will need some extra Euros for ferries and we crossed the Danube 3 or 4 times and it was not always covered. Also, the stairs at the train stations can be challenging with your bikes, especially for heavier e-bikes. We managed though and had a great time!

We cycled through some lovely countryside and saw some very lovely towns. Assisi was wonderful, but understandably busy given its historical importance. We had some very memorable events booked.

This trip was a perfect couple tour with spectacular scenery, safe well maintained bike paths on a gently descending route and great hotels each night.

Beautiful scenery. Steven was a great tour leader. Lodging was 1* to 4*’s. The 1 and 2* hotels were not great. Really enjoyed the tour but decided that the cycling distances were too short. Needed more cycling. Thanks. Marian

Staying at the Melia hotel in Zahara! Was very beautiful and by the beach! Was n ot pleased with the 1st 3 nights lodging

O roteiro é espetacular. Um trecho mais lindo que o outro. Os percursos são razoavelmente curtos e com baixo nível de dificuldade. Portanto, não é necessário ser um atleta ou dispor de grande preparo físico para essa aventura. Você não precisa sair cedo do hotel e vai chegar ao local de destino ainda cedo, para poder apreciar as belezas de cada lugar. No que se refere à organização, registro que, tanto a TRIPSITE quanto o seu parceiro RADWEG, de Constança, fizeram uma organização excepcional. Não deixaram nada a desejar. Pelo contrário, foram maravilhosos. Parabéns!

I really liked the first city, Lubeck, and also the contact with nature along the way, passing through parks on the sea coast.

The farm inn and surrounding countryside and aqueduct were lovely. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The antique car museum and Pedro were a real highlight for my husband and exploring the walled city of Évora was very enjoyable.
The 1st day of biking was frustrating because of recent rains, the gravel path was muddy at times with deep ruts. Following days the paths were greatly improved. Since we were on a self guided tour, it would have been helpful to have the individual segments of the tour labeled with their distances so you could tell how far each different loop would be.

Great way to see Normandy and learn about D-Day. Some of the museums are a bit redundant, so pick carefully to avoid repetitive experiences.

Staying at the Silla Hotel in Florence was a highlight of the tour. I’m glad I had an extra day to spend in Florence

Tripsite's Czech partner and it's staff was excellent ! Their offline GPS system made following the route very easy and made the riding even more enjoyable. The accommodations, especially the pensions, were quaint and comfortable with very good breakfasts. It was a very memorable, fun experience!

Really enjoyable trip, beautiful scenery, from quiet fields to cliffs over the ocean and groves of trees. I appreciated that much of the riding was off the busy roads. The off road terrain required quite a lot of focus and energy as we road on gravel, thick sand, rocky paths, and some mud. At some point each of the four of us fell on the ride due to terrain. The distance and the elevation were in line with my ideas of the riding though the terrain was more challenging (I am not a mountain biker). I would rate this bike trip as moderate due to the terrain.

The hotels were adequate to very nice and comfortable. Two of hotels which were several kilometers out of town. They were my favorite hotels yet made dinner arrangements more challenging.

The support from the Portuguese crew was outstanding, they were quick, kind and helpful when we needed them. The bikes and gear were great. Instructions and directions were right on (and part of the adventure).

The four of us had a grand adventure!

The most memorable part of the trip was walking with cheetahs on an incredible bush walk. We loved the beautiful landscape and exploring South Africa with local guides who really knew the place.

This was our seventh bike trip with tripsite, but our first self guided bike trip on our own! We really enjoyed the experience! The Aberobello / Locorotondo area was our favourite stop on the tour, but we also really enjoyed the extra days spent in Matera and Lecce at the start and end of our tour. My wife took an E-Bike and I took a hybrid regular bike and both were great. My bike had a minor mechanical issue on day three, but a quick stop at a local bike shop arranged by our host resolved the issue completely! We thought the description of the tour in terms of difficulty was just about right, with some tougher challenges but primarily fair easy riding. Some of the gravel sections are quite rough but we did not find it difficult as we had ample time and travelled slowly throughout these areas. Great and varied scenery. Was not a fan of a few short sections on highways, as traffic was heavier due to a national holiday, but we managed. Lovely accommodations along the way.

Ignacio was a fantastic guide. Lodging was very nice. He was knowledgeable, helpful and fun.

The scenery was unbelievable. I came up over a rise and caught a salt breeze in my face and was in tears of joy.
The bikes were amazing and reliable. Very challenging terrain and routes.
