Porto to Lisbon
Portugal

Just finished up a fantastic 11 day self-guided tour from Porto to Lisbon. Sergio was super supportive to ensure that we had an awesome trip. We loved the variety of scenery and road types. Portugal is wonderful with all their well maintained bike paths, and lovely little paths through the country side--some more wild and unexpected. The route was so much fun with lots of variety, and very little riding on or near the national roads. We loved riding through the old villages, and then amazing riding along the most scenic coast line! The accommodations were all superb! We have done several self-guided tours in southern Europe and this was definitely one of our favorites! Did i mention the wonderful food and wine!

Around Lake Constance - 12 Day
Austria, Germany, Switzerland

The bicycle was perfect. The hotels were TOP rate. The routes took us to beautiful out of the traffic bike paths while routing us through charming villages. There were clear options for alternative travel on bad weather days. The service and attention to questions while preparing to leave was very prompt and thorough. Overall a great experience. I would recommend tripsite to any interested in an action adventure.

Portugal’s Vicentine Coast & Algarve

The most memorable part of our trip were our 3 hr lunchs and the amazing people we met along the way! The hotel accomodations were also top notch, hard to pick a favorite but if I had choose Herdade Do Touril in Zambujeira do Mar and Casa Fajara in Carrapeteira were quaint and secluded and the staff were top notch! The breakfast at each of the hotels were fantastic, much more than we had expected. The local partner did a great job with the bikes, gps and roadside assist for a flat tire. Definitely plan to get lost along the trail at some point but honestly getting lost just added more fun to the journey. I would suggest that the leader and the biker at the end of the group use mirrors... to keep track of everyone and at the end of the group to watch for traffic. This was our groups first bike trip and we all thoughly enjoyed it! We really enjoyed being on our own schedule, unlike other tour company's that schedule events and meals we appreciated being able to come and go as we pleased and ate meals at small local restaurants which was really enjoyable. We have shared Tripsite with many travelers along the way and can't wait to book our next trip!!

Bordeaux to Sarlat Wine and E-Bike Tour
France

Scenery, especially the last 2 days through the Vezere Valley was beautiful. The route had many more hills and more riding on roads, some with a good bit of traffic than we expected, but happy to have e-bikes. We loved our e-bikes, although ideally we would have gotten them the evening before, not 9am the morning we started riding. Norbert and his crew who delivered the bikes were helpful with setting up the bikes, as well as getting the GPS tracks for us which we requested, but hadn't gotten. Our first day riding there was a bridge out over the river that was being completely rebuilt. We used Google maps to find a way around, but it meant riding on a busy highway for 12km. When we called Loire Valley Travel that evening to let them know so the map could be updated, we were told they don't check the routes each year. That bridge construction appeared to be a long ongoing project. However, the most concerning thing was our accommodation on the 3rd night, which was in a remote Read More

This was a truly exceptional trip! The most memorable part was the scenery. The route included many different terrains, some quite challenging, and I was very thankful for the e bike. The rider should have some experience with trail riding and be prepared to encounter some steep ascents and descents on gravel roads. The accommodations were so lovely. I would highly recommend this trip.

The entire trip was memorable! The staff at the farm made us feel at home, with a wonderful gift of hospitality, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, rooms with everything we needed. The wine of the area is so good, the restaurant recommendations spot on. Riding through the area was amazing. Guides took time to be sure our bikes fit well, explained the day, and we're so informative about the area and history. The tours were each very well done and enjoyable.
There are definitely hills, and I was grateful for an ebike - it made all the difference for me. Highly recommend this trip!

A very good trip, fun and varied cycling routes, the best rental bikes we have had during many cycling trips, the guide for the walking tour of Porto and the drive to Melgaco absolutely fantastic. Portugal and the people in the country are wonderful. accommodation in all places very good

what we thought was the most fun was how varied the cycle path is and how fun it is to cycle on forest paths not just on asphalt

beautiful views, lovely beaches, great surf and beautiful countryside

The views from hilltops, through patches of red poppies, looking down, down to row upon row of vineyards under cultivation.
E-bikes are a must.
In April be prepared for COLD weather at the high elevations.
Taxi ride shortened the first day (70 km) and made every day a wonderful adventure.

Alentejo Vineyards

I would like to say a huge thank you for finding the TripSite website to organize our trip.

Everything happened very precisely, from arrival, where our flight was delayed by 04 hours and even so the transfer was waiting for us.

The bike we chose came brand new and without any problems during the entire 310KM journey in 05 days, it was possible to enjoy everything without any problems with the bikes.

The transport of luggage from one hotel to the other left us free for our adventure and was very safe, our luggage was very well taken care of.

I read some reports of problems with the routes, but for us the routes were perfect, we used both the software indicated by TripSite and we also downloaded the routes in Briton, so it was very safe and when the software lost the signal we used Briton to take us to the destinations.

Well, talking about Alentejo is very easy, we love the trails, side roads, very wooded, with pastures of sheep, cows and other animals. We Read More

The picturesque, quaint towns surrounding Amsterdam were a delight to experience. Each was a bit unique and offered their own history and charm. The cycling infrastructure in the Netherlands is among the best in the world and our self guided routes made sure we saw a wide variety of terrain, and featured many highlights that we would have missed without this guidance. We loved our week and will treasure the memories and the experience created by Tripsite and their partner, Tulip Cycling. And we did experience the tulip fields along with hyacinth and daffodils in bloom. The scents and sights were heavenly!

Along the Ebro River to La Rioja
Spain

This was my third cycling trip to Spain and the first time I have used a self guided tour like this. Tripsite’s Ebro River trip was perfect in every way. The route is absolutely spectacular with a constantly changing scene of medieval villages, vast pastoral panoramas and cruising alongside the river through deep gorges. The roads were not only smooth but empty of cars. The local partner Borja from Ibirocycle met us on time at the location we selected and provided well tuned road bikes for our week long ride. Every accommodation was superb, clean quaint with great food and lovely hosts. Note that there are some long hills so if you do not feel trained up enough for that - take the electric bike option. But for anyone who would like to see this outstanding part of Spain at a slower pace - I can’t recommend this tour enough!

It was worth exploring the country by bicycle. The garden route is beautiful and with the very good guide and the nice cycling company I had a wonderful holiday. There were very tough bike courses, the weather made the challenge bigger but I wouldn't have wanted to miss it.

We are just finishing our trip in Coimbra and wanted to put in a review while the trip is still fresh. From the airport pickup to the briefing and all through the tour John and Sergio demonstrated that they really did care that we had a great time - and we did. The hotels they selected for us are top notch and the bike route gave us easy riding and great views of Portugal’s Silver Coast. The bikes were in top shape and performed well. Our second visit to Portugal and there will be more, the people are friendly and the country so wonderful.

I enjoyed tremendously the trails that were chosen in this itinerary! I liked the variety of them not only in terms of scenery but also in terms of complexity.
One moment I was riding by beautiful eucalyptus forests, the next I was side by side of peaceful rivers or agricultural fields to, my very favourites, riding along side the Atlantic ocean.
The attention to details and support received by the Top Bike Tours team (the owner, Sérgio, and Miguel) was truly outstanding! As a solo rider I never felt left alone or on my own; they were always there whenever I needed them and provided efficient support and guidance.

Multi-adventure in Colombia - from the mountains to the sea
Colombia

Bogota, Kartagena and Amazon were for me the highlights of my trip. Depends mostly on my previous visits to South America and the expectations I had . Visit to Rio Blanco not worthy. Tayrona park only if make the long circuit otherwise very crowded and sea visit definitely not ( speaking as a Greek ). Bicycling at the area of Filandia and visit of wax Palm area a great fun . Minca and the bird watching at the area not so interesting. Local office very helpful and professional in every detail !! Guides in all the places we visited educated in depth for their specialty !!

New Zealand Alps to the Ocean
New Zealand

This trip and the tour guides exceeded all expectations! First, we never realized that "Alps 2 Ocean" is an actual designated trail with signs and directional markings at every turn. No need to worry about getting lost on this trail. The scenery is absolutely stunning, starting from the very beginning at the base of Mt. Cook, New Zealand's tallest mountain. Our tour guide Lewis picked up our group in Christchurch and made the five-hour drive to the start of the ride. The only communication issue was Tripsite said we had to be picked up in Christchurch. During the drive, our guide said they could have picked us up in Queenstown, which would have left only a two-hour drive to the start. We had flown the previous day from Queenstown to Christchurch just to be picked up. Mark, the new owner of the tour company, will remedy this with Tripsite. Mark was with us the first two days and drove us back to the Christchurch airport after the completion of the trip. Super Read More

Of ochtend half uur eerder vertrekken? Of het diner samen wat eerder afronden, 21.30 ipv 22.00.

Portugal’s Vicentine Coast & Algarve
Portugal

We took this trip as a self-guided tour in late January/early February in order to get a break from the cloudy, dreary weather in central France. We were a little worried about the weather conditions, but it turned out to be perfect - and no crowds! I started each day in a ski coat and double pants, but by the early afternoon would be down to just a light jacket. Ideal biking weather - never got hot, not very windy, and yet the sun was bright. Sergio had the trip set up perfectly - the bikes were top-of-the-line and worked well, the multiple GPS systems were accurate and useful, and he was always just a text away. A mix of accommodation types which were all good in their different ways, and a couple of them were just outstanding. The scenery and countryside were by turns fascinating and breathtaking. The coastline had spectacularly scenic rocky cliffs with interesting birds (including nesting storks). All the people we met were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would highly recommend including some extra days in Lisbon and Sintra.

Sardinia: Culinary Delights E-Bike Tour
Italy

We went on this tour in mid-October of 2022. Stayed in Cagliari before the tour and saw a professional triathlon. We watched the women's race - have never seen anything like that. Sardinia is wonderful. We only had one sort of gripe - the company that handled the tour (Rotalis) is German and we were the. only non-Germans on the tour. Had a few uncomfortable initial moments, but it eventually became a nothing burger. I was fluent in German as a kid and saw a lot coming back. It would have been nice to know about this sooner.

The tour was beyond excellent. First, Sardinia. It's incredibly beautiful. Lots of hills and forests. Marvelous downhills. Being able to cycle through an alpine environment in shorts and short sleeves was special. Alenka, the tour guide was quite good. She dealt with the German speakers initially then translated into English - hers was quite good. Dieter, the van driver was a gem. He took care of the support van and provided Read More

Camino de Santiago E-Bike Tour

We did the Camino tour with Sergio and Joao in early September of 2022. Just a wonderful experience. Sergio and Joao are aces - always there for us. Support was absolutely excellent. Great hotels. We used eBikes and they were excellent - fairly new with the big Bosch motors. The routes were sometimes challenging (cobblestones rattled your teeth) but they were handled well. Views were incredible. Can't say enough about this tour. Liked it so much that we've scheduled two tours with them for this coming summer. Ten out of ten.

Prague to Dresden - A Tale of Two Rivers
Czech Republic, Germany

Great self-guided tour! We received best written directions we have ever had on a self-guided bike tour. The route was basically flat along the rivers and the route directions were clear, understandable, and often offered options. The route information also included recommendations and directions along the way to get to sightseeing points, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Lukas provided a thorough review of the trip on our arrival, and was available to answer our questions. We used the recommended GPS as a supplement, which was helpful for confirming our location and when there was an instance of unexpected road construction on the route. We also very much enjoyed the bike tour of Prague with Daniel and his willingness to share his personal insights into the history of the city.
