· Sound of Music District Road Bike Tour

Hotel in st georgian and halstatt were nice. Theater hotel im salzburg had crappy breakfast. Bike riders coming to another country want to immerse themselves in that country’s lifestyle. Tourist towns as salzburg & halstatt are a tesl turn off. Small traditional towns are much more fun. This was our seventh tour in europe, but the only with these tourist towns.
The bicycles should be prepared before each tour. My front wheel wobbled, both bikes made noises, and the chain and cassette were filthy. Neither bike had a pump mounted on it as it should have. In case you didn’t know, you should not pair tubeless rims with standard tire/ tube arrangement. It is near impossible to fix a flat. Contact me if you want me to explain why.
The many pages of two sided maps are hard to match up on the side of the road in the rain. Cue sheets should be compact with notes of landmarks, signs, & suggestions where food or water can be found. In austria there were bike route signs that we were on often. They should be incorporated in the cue sheet.

· Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour

One of our favorite vacations of all time. The route, although complex in some parts, was easy enough to follow using a special app (as mentioned by TripSite in pre-trip email). The tour sent us winding through beautiful farm country, tranquil villages, historic towns and some nice attractions along the way. And the e-bikes we rented had plenty of power and range so that the riding was effortless and we could add on extra distance without worrying about the battery running out.

The hotels they put us up at were fantastic as were the breakfasts. Overall it was a flawless trip and we look forward to do another trip next year

Was easier ride than what I expected but my wife doesn't ride as much as me and she found it "just right". I was hoping for longer rides each day but we added on some extra on our own. I had e-bike and for much of the ride I didn't even use the power assist. I could have easily done the entire 6 days of riding with one full battery charge, that's how good the battery was. For people who want an effortless ride (low power assist the whole way) you can easily do 80 km per day on a full battery

· Prague to Dresden - A Tale of Two Rivers

We had a great experience on this trip! We chose the Standard hotel package, and overall the accommodations were excellent. Here's where we stayed:

Prague – Hotel DAP

Melnik – Pension U Zámku

Litomerice – Pension Dubina

Decin – Hotel Česká Koruna

Bad Schandau/Krippen – Hotel Erbgericht

Dresden – Hotel Martha

Our favorite stops were Prague and Melnik. Prague was incredibly clean, walkable, and felt very safe. Hotel DAP is about half a mile from Prague Castle, and walking to the main sites was easy and enjoyable.

Melnik is a charming little wine town perched above a valley, and sipping local wine right next to the vines it came from—while enjoying that view—was a definite highlight.

The one hotel we didn’t love was in Krippen. To be fair, it was raining that day and we didn’t feel like taking the ferry into Bad Schandau, but the hotel itself felt a bit dated and in need of some updates.

As for the biking: the Czech bike paths vary quite a bit. One minute you’re on a smooth trail, the next you're riding along a road with traffic, a dirt path, or a bumpy gravel section. The terrain is also hillier than expected, and sometimes you don’t get much notice before a climb.

We’re in our mid-30s, not regular cyclists but pretty active (we’re runners), and we did the tour on standard bikes. There were definitely a few hills where we had to hop off and walk the bikes. The standard bikes were a bit heavy and could have used some chain lube and a tune up. If that doesn’t sound ideal, I’d recommend going with the e-bike option for a smoother ride.

Weather-wise, we got lucky—just a little rain, and temps were mild overall. Most hotels didn’t have AC, so it got a bit stuffy at night, but opening a window helped.

All in all, we loved the tour and highly recommend it. The scenery, towns, and experiences made it a trip we’ll always remember.

· Ireland’s Northern Coastline E-Bike Tour

Some of the roads we traveled were so steep that the ebike in the lowest gear and highest boost would not climb. On these hills when we walked, the ebike walk assist was intermittent adding to the difficulty. This was predominant on one of the two bikes. The written step by step directions were difficult to use in that the road names and other references were not always posted in a clearly visible manner. It was easy to get off course and the simplistic garmin provided was useless. for route correction. The small screen was difficult to even see, particularly in the rain. Although the accommodations were acceptable in general, the Riverside B&B in Cushendall was old and tired. On the plus the scenery and places to visit on the route were outstanding.

Not difficult but we should have bought the GPS as we got lost in the towns quite often….directions unclear to us so we had to ask the locals a lot for info and they often sent us wrong (car route rather than bike trail) but we managed and got to talk to a lot of people😊

Beautiful scenery and villages to visit. We had a wonderful holiday. Everything was organised well and went smoothly.
We were met on the first day by Petra who made sure our ride with GPS had downloaded correctly, and who advised us about places to visit and restaurants to go to.
Paulo then came along with excellent bikes, which worked perfectly for us for the week.
Given the poor state of the roads, we would recommend gravel bikes and NOT road bikes for this trip.

Feedback:
1. The WhatsApp group were very good & followed up any issues or queries
2. The bike handover was a bit tricky as Simon had limited English & apart from bike matters didn’t seem fully versed in addressing some initial queries by someone that had never done a self guided bike tour
3. Inappropriate bike hire: the Agogs City Liner e-bike was ergonomically unsuitable for a bike tour of over 800km.
The seat angle & the handle bars meant I was very upright. It was uncomfortable.
A more appropriate style is that of a touring bike configuration, in which you are leaning forward and able to propel easily & with comfort.
4.Having 2 app’s - Ride GPS & Trip Plans a bit tedious to go in & out of for directions & guidance plus more draining on phone
5. An overnight in any large city is not enough time. A suggestion that 2 nights be factored into itinerary for say Vienna.

· Highlights of Northern Zealand

Coastal section were great. Interiors were a litte repetative farm lands. Hotel quality was great. However most hotels were a couple miles outside of the town center and on hills. After spending a day on the bike, we were not up for another ride to go to dinner or see the sites. Hotels closer to the center of the action in each town would be better. Logistics and bikes were good. Oveall great way to see Denmark.

We had the most wonderful group of people on this tour. Our guide, Mateo, and back up vehicle driver, Klodian, took such great care of us, making sure we didn't have to lift a finger. The bikes were in great condition - Liv & Giant. The route was well planned and we road through beautiful scenery, lots of undulating hills and distances never more than we could manage in a day. All of the accommodation was great, the food was just amazing... never a bad meal, and the Albanian people are just wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Klarà, our principal guide was awesome! She was always handy, solved all issues with a big smile on her face. Martin and Toni also very good but they left us in Vienna. Fine scenery, hotels, food, weather, etc...

Only one pitfall: we got other 2 guides after Vienna. One of them did not have a guide attitude, one example: the group that do not speak the local language was struggling to make the other in a restaurant and he was not helpful at all, he just got a beer for himself and walked out of the place. · Prague to Krakow

I liked that the lodgings were often local, with a historic flavor of Czech or Poland, rather than bland international chain hotels. Having the breakfasts and dinners included was great, so convenient and we liked all the meals. The riding routes were very nice, with good scenery, small villages and minimum busy roads. Riding surfaces were often bumpy so the Specialized Diverge bikes we rode were a good match for conditions. The GPS routes worked perfectly, loaded onto my Garmin 1040. The phone APP was brilliant, with so much helpful info and the link to RidewGPS was great, even though I was using my Garmin. We wished we had requested a rest day in Olomouc; it is an interesting town and a break from so many consecutive days of riding would be nice.

Stunning and ever-changing scenery, quaint towns, dramatic vistas, history at every turn, overall comfortable accommodations with nice breakfast.
Ride was quite challenging at times, especially Day 1, 38 miles up and down a hill and over a mountain.
I do wonder, as did another bike tour operator we spoke to,
1. why we started rather than ended in Cong - which seemed lovely in the 10 minutes we spent there at the launch of our ride - with an overnight there instead of beginning and ending in Galway
2. why we rode east to west, into the wind, on the most challenging portions of the trip (the other tour operator's route goes in the opposite direction, ending with an overnight in Cong)
3. why 2 nights in Clifden? I think Days 4 and 5 could be rerouted. Day 4 Clifden to Sky Road around peninsula to Roundstone; Day 5 Roundstone through bog to earlier ferry to Aran islands

We really thought the GPS could have been updated. We approached a few places where we could not continue on GPS route because there was a new road or bridge built, we had to stop and figure it out. I was injured the first day and ended up in the hospital with 6 stitches in my index finger. Turns out the endcap was missing from the handlebar which landed on my finger when I toppled over.
Portgugal is very bike friendly, which is nice. On the roads or bike paths next to the road it was nice. We also travelled on paths thru farm land that were gravel and full of potholes that we had to dart around.. Not fun. The last day, we were on a path that was very treachurous had we tried to ride our bikes on it. We had to get off and walk our bikes.

We thought the operating company could have done a better job.

The heat! We were there during France’s late-June heat wave, so our first two days of biking were beautiful but depleting. The routes were excellent and the app worked very well. We took it easier on ourselves on day three and enjoyed the flexibility of a self-guided tour, which allowed us to explore the town of Cheverny, play golf (!) and attend a local jazz festival. Our lodging at Les Sources de Cheverny, for which we happily paid extra, was extraordinary. Also, Sophie was an amazing partner from start to finish: we so appreciated her flexibility on lodging, and her responsiveness as questions and needs (like bike helmets) arose. Merci beaucoup!

Disappointed that twin beds werr not provided on several occasions and that we had to get that sorted. The quality of some hotels was also not greaT as in tiny room, inadequate facilities and as already said, not suitable for 2 individuals travelling together. I think you should upgrade the ebike option as well. A city style ebike for an 800 km ride is ridiculous, un comfortable and ineffecient. The luggage transfer was excellent and the navidation with RWGPS worked.

· Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour

We are a family of 4 with kids age 12 and 6 and we bike regularly at home, including over longer distances. We had a wonderful time on this trip! The biking distances were just right for us, we enjoyed the solitude and self guided aspects, the maps and instructions were helpful, the hotels were great (including excellent breakfasts everywhere) and we loved the combination of the biking with exploring historical places and culture. We also opted to extend our stay in Amsterdam and keep the bikes, which worked out well for us. Everything related to luggage worked well.

The one thing that didn't go perfectly was the trailer bike for our younger son. The trailer was basically just old - it was giving out and even with my husband tightening it it was veering off to one side. This took away from some of the enjoyment of the rides on the last couple of days. We recommend the company overhaul their stock of trailers.

We did this tour self guided on e-bikes and of the 3 we have done with Tripsite I think this was our best! The tour is so well organised, the partners in Portugal were so helpful! The scenery along the way is spectacular, from long coastal beaches to shady forests, waterfalls and all the little churches along the way. Riding amongst those walking the Camino was very special-- listening to some of the different reasons for doing it and making friends along the way. The hotels were good with two being amazing and one that was very average. We loved exploring the local towns to find somewhere to eat at night and loved the seafood rice on offer, always prepared a little differently. Also the pastel de nata were delicious! The Spanish and Portuguese were very friendly and I would love to do another tour in one of these countries. We had great weather which always makes for a memorable time.

This is one of my favorite trips I have ever taken! We did the self-guided tour and had zero problems navigating, even with a detour due to construction. The tour was well supported (bags were at our hotels way before 4), communication was quick and responsive to any issues encountered, routes are gorgeous with lots of potential to stop and see extra sites on the side. My husband is NOT cyclist and it was manageable and fun for him too! The hotels are great; the breakfasts that are included are substantial and delicious. 10/10 recommend and would love to do another route in the future.

· Lake Constance - Highlights & Hinterland

Overall I think this is a very good trip. The landscape was beautiful and all the towns were charming. The terrain, for the most part, was easy to navigate. This was my first bike trip. I am not actually a true bike rider. If not for this trip I would probably ride 20 miles a year. I looked at doing something like this last year in order to see more of the world. And overall I was glad I did it. A great experience. I was supposed to do this trip with a friend but he was unable to do it due a family emergency. So, I was left to do it alone, without any guides. There was however a group of eight riders who were traveling with another tour company and riding virtually the same route as I, so there was some group connection between us. The terrain didn’t represent too much of a challenge for me (I didn’t have an E-bike) but on Leg 3 I decided to take the train from Rorschach to St Gallen. This ultimately proved to be a very wise decision, as the terrain would have been too steep for me to climb. Regarding the hotels- Tripsite did a great job of hotel selection. I travelled alone so the beds were very comfortable for me. Not sure if you’d be very comfortable with two in the room. I say this because most, if not all, of the hotels had no air conditioning. I travelled in mid June and the temperatures were unusually warm. So, the hotel rooms were typically warmer than I’m used to. The breakfasts were outstanding. My bags were always at the hotel when I arrived. Three issues I had to contend with- 1. Upon arrival in Überlingen there was no taxi stand. I was unable to load the Uber App because I was using the Airalo E-sim card on my phone. So, I wound up taking a bus to drop me close to the hotel. This added about an hour and a half to my travel to Überlingen. 2. The hotel had my reservation but it hadn’t been paid. I had to call the emergency number for Tripsite to get this sorted out. 3. The staff at the hotel were unaware that my bike had been delivered to the hotel. On the morning of Day 1 the folks at the local partner had to intercede with the bike rental company to determine that the bike was indeed delivered to the hotel the previous night (nobody at the hotel knew this).
I ultimately navigated with Apple Maps, which routed me through the towns as opposed to the RidewithGPS app which would have navigated me through fields and forests. That worked out well for me. So, ultimately, I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the charm of Swiss/German/Austrian culture.

We’ve just completed our cycling trip and would like to sincerely thank you for the well-organized experience. We appreciated the smooth handling of all administrative and logistical aspects.

We’d also like to share a few points for your consideration, which we believe could help improve future trips:

Bike type: The bikes provided lacked suspension, which made them less suitable for some of the terrain we encountered. We recommend offering bikes with suspension for increased comfort and safety.
Route updates: On three riding days (departing from Trento, from Verona and Vicenza), we encountered unmarked detours due to construction. These detours enforced us to navigate on our own and substantially prolonged the routes. The maps and navigation materials should be updated to reflect these changes to avoid confusion.
Hotel feedback: The Doge Hotel did not meet the standard of the other accommodations and fell short of expectations. We suggest reconsidering its inclusion in future itineraries.

Thank you again for a memorable trip.

This was the guided version. I thought, overall, it was a great trip and I would recommend it. The countryside we cycled through was interesting and we were mainly on paved, secondary lanes/roads - so very quiet, for the most part. The towns we stayed in were very picturesque and the accommodation were wonderful (with one exception in Alberobello, however, it was fine, just not up to the standards of the others). The meals were wonderful - exceptional local fare. Highlights: the meal at an Agriturismo, along with a mozzarella and burrata making demonstration; visiting a local olive oil operation, swimming in the Ionian Sea; Masseria Bosco with it's lovely pool, accommodation and Aperol Spritz. The one thing that made the trip challenging was the weather - 33 to 36 degrees. I highly recommend an e-bike and the guided version. The guide offered a great deal of information about what we were seeing and the history of the area.

How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
I had an e-bike (i'm 70 and a regular mountain biker in good shape) and would recommend one. The difficulty was pretty much what I expected, however, the heat (33 to 36 degrees) added significant difficulty to the trip. It was fine with the e-bike, but you had to use sunscreen and hydrate regularly.
