Our guides were wonderful. I especially appreciated having Pavel (a historian) as one of our trip guides--he made the trip intellectually enriching. We also really enjoyed the company of our fellow travelers. All in all, it was a fun, stimulating, beautiful, and well-supported adventure!

· Istria to the Adriatic

We had a fabulous trip! The route was beautiful and everyday brought new surprises. We especially loved riding inland into the mid evil villages up in the mountains. The scenery was spectacular and lots of sights to explore. We would highly recommend this tour!

How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
We had to avoid riding the gravel/ dirt sections for 2 or 3 days of the tour due to wet and muddy conditions so we were very happy there was an alternative route available on pavement. We were self guided. Some of the dirt/ gravel sections were more technical than I expected, but short enough that one could walk if needed. I think maybe it should be rated easy to moderate. I ride a lot of gravel and MTB at home and wouldn’t recommend this route to riders who aren’t experienced with riding on gravel.

Riding on the canal was very pleasant but the diversions from it added something extra. In particular the cycling on quiet country roads and cycleways. We enjoyed the ride to and from Mirepoix in particular.

· Prague to Budapest

Overall a very enjoyable trip which could have been made better with more suitable bikes. The bikes supplied were town bikes which considering the distance we were cycling, some of which was off road, did detract from the experience. The standard of hotels was very good. There was one where the size of the room was not suitable as a twin room with the beds shoe horned in. So we had to book a separate room on that occasion.
We are looking at booking something around Croatia next year.

· Venice to Poreč

Hello,

Overall, the trip was very good. The landscapes were beautiful, and the bikes provided were of good quality.

On the other hand, there were some negative points to mention: the absence of water bottles for the group, which had been promised in the contract, and the hotel in Aquileia, which I believe was well below the standard we had expected.

That said, I would also like to highlight the excellent assistance and responsiveness of the local team, which was very much appreciated throughout the trip.

· Premium Guided Bike Tour in Provence

Excellent tour with perfect hotels and meals to complement the Provence countryside. Our Tour Guide, Antonio Cimmino was a great addition with his helpful and fun nature. He was knowledgeable, attentive to our issues and meshed very well with the goal of our group to have a fun week. The biking was a challenge, but was managed with a pace that was perfect for a group with various levels of biking experience. All in our group mentioned having a great experience.

· Danube Bike Path - Passau to Budapest

This was our 2nd self-guided bike tour in Europe. It was a little different than our first where everyone leaving from our hotel was on the same schedule. With this company, you are basically customizing your tour by chosing to stay extra nights in some cities. The route chosen by the local company was qood. We had a variety of small villages and towns, crop fields and forrests. Lodging in the Category B hotels was good to excellent. The cycle paths were very good most of the time with little mixing with cars. We did this in Sept and it seemed alot of restaurants/cafes along the route were closed, so you might bring a lunch with you. The bikes were good, but do not have mirrors, which I had inquired ahead about. We did bring our own.

· Bolzano to Venice

Biking from Bolzano to Trento surrounded by mountains and scenery was memorable.
The extra days in Bolzano were well worth it. Lots to do with gondola rides and hikes to wineries.
The bike app worked pretty well, although some instruction was either confusing or a bit late.
Unfortunately we were kicked off the ferry ride on Lake Garda with bikes due to transportation strikes so had to take a van. We missed some scenery, but also had a faster trip to Pescheira.
We got caught in quite a downpour one day and the next day was looking stormy also, so we took a train.
Easy getting train tickets, harder getting spots on the train for bikes. We got the last.
Venice was nice, but naturally crowded. Hotels were mostly nice accommodations. Hotel staffs were pleasant and helpful. Hotel Majestic seems to go by different names and was initially difficult to find.
We enjoyed the self-guided bike tour, even though we didn't use E-bikes.

· Basque Country to Asturias by E-Bike

The most memorable part of this trip for me were the views of the beautiful Basque Country coastline and the charming places where we spent the nights. The weather cooperated for the most part also which made it that much better. I also would be remiss if I didn't mention Hennie who goes ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure each of us has a wonderful experience & addresses any of our concerns. She's the BEST!!! Our tour guide Pepe(as we called him) was great and swung in with us almost every night & we/I really enjoyed his company. I also met several new people which I will continue to keep in touch with. I really LOVE that aspect as well. So Thankyou Tripsite, Hennie, Pepe & our gang for another fun trip.

Most memorable were the numerous little towns, beautiful farmland, and forests. The arrival in Czesky Krumlov was spectacular. Stop to take a picture before descending into the town because you will never get this opportunity on the way out.
Hotels were nearly perfect for our needs. I would suggest an upgrade for Czesky Krumlov. The hotel was quite outdated, food marginal. All other accommodations were great.

· Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour

What I am left with is the memory of the wonderful people I met on the trip. People from all over coexisted, braved some very wet weather, adapted to continuous itinerary changes due to weather conditions and still had a lovely experience. Food and accommodations were excellent. Kudos to the guide Peter who spent hours on his computer sleuthing out alternate routes for cycling as our itinerary continually changed. We missed some cities and had little time in others but you can't control Mother Nature or "traffic control" on the canals. All in all we had a great time and I will definitely book another B & B trip.

How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
The cycling was easy but while I started with a standard bike I quickly switched to the Ebike due to the distances. Alternate routes, extending distance, were offered and without the E-bike I would not have been able to take advantage. RE: routes, I gave it a 3 because weather forced itinerary changes causing us to miss some cities and not have enough time to spend in others. We were constantly trying to catch up with the barge. No ones fault. Mother Nature at work.

· Bolzano to Verona

The navigation app was great, cycling tour was a nice variety through country side and villages. Breakfasts were great, one of the rooms in accommodation was too small for two people and bags.

The biggest disappointment was our ferry trip across lake Garda was cancelled as our bikes could not be taken, we all had to go in the van, we couldn’t go on ferry and bikes be transported, this was to be the highlight of the trip for us so we were very disappointed. We had booked this trip months in advance so could not understand how our bikes could not be taken. No compensation offered.

· Danube Bike Path - Vienna to Budapest

The tour Vienna Budapest was fantastic. The whole family was looking forward to starting the trip, as we had already taken the "Passau - Vienna" tour with Tripsite in 2014.
Every day on the bike was a family adventure, as the landscapes along the Danube are beautiful and there are many places to rest and contemplate God's creation. There are also castles, churches and historical sites that are important for learning about the local culture.
The hotels are excellent, with delicious breakfasts and are located in cozy cities. Their staff is always helpful.
In order to make the tour even better, on the last day (Estergom-Szentendre) between the first and second ferry boat, we suggest a replace route because the proposal one is very difficult to cycle. We turned back and took an alternative route, across a bridge.
The most memorable part of the tour is arriving in Budapest via the Danube, at the end of the day, by boat.

Biking along the Danube bend. Beautiful shaded path, interesting scenery. Catching last minute standing tickets to the Staatsopera in Vienna was amazing! Coming into Bratislava while a Trans-Danube Swim was occurring was a unique experience. Great meal at a hotel recommended restaurant (etterum) in Mosonmagyaróvár. The bikes were adequate for our 200 mile journey. I only wish I had a water bottle holder on mine.

On data 2-3 it was a little bit too “underpopulated”, not mucho too see for a big part of the day.. and we experienced lot of wind!

· Dramatic Landscapes of the Dingle Peninsula

We completed the Dingle Peninsula tour in early September with another couple. Please keep in mind that we are in our mid 60's and early 70's. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. First, the e-bikes were top notch and the owner provided very good instructions. He also checked on us a few times during the week. I highly recommend not missing the first ride along the Greenway to get acquainted with the bike. You'll also experience a pretty ride along Tralee Bay to Fenit and to the mighty St. Brendan statue at the end of the pier. Dinner at The Tankard on the way back was wonderful with a beautiful view of the bay.

The next day riding was the longest at 33 miles and brought us into the peninsula. To be honest, this was not pleasant and I questioned selecting the trip. Riding through town was tricky but didn't last long. It was the two lane, no shoulder, rather busy,100km speed limit that was the problem. On top of that, we had wind and rain. It got quieter, more of the type of roads we had anticipated, as we got closer to the Pub Guesthouse in Cloghane. We were windblown and a bit wet but happy to arrive in the classic old pub. After seeing our condition, one of the patrons said to me, 'You didn't come here for the weather did ya? You came here for the experience!' That set the tone for a wonderful night of Guinness, warm food and the best music we heard that week. The next ride was over the highest pass in Ireland, but the windy, rainy weather continued. The bike rental owner gave us the option to be driven over and we happily accepted. From there the rides were what we expected - quiet roads with incredible views! The Wild Atlantic Way is an amazing stretch where the sheep have the prime locations. The beach at Inch was an incredible sight at 3 miles long. If not going in for a swim, the walk around sunset was unforgettable. Staying in Dingle for 3 nights was just the right amount of time. A wonderful town with great restaurants, fresh seafood, and shopping. Luckily, heading back to Tralee was on a different road, much better than the ride out. It had another good size hill to conquer so we were happy to have the e-bikes. And it still felt like a workout.

We had great food and music along the way and the people we came in contact with couldn't have been friendlier. Be sure to bring the appropriate rain gear and all will be 'brilliant', as they say in Ireland!

Also the gps app was not that great and would be good to have a phone holder on every bike so everyone can see the gps route. Would be nice also if the tasting booked on the way should be included in the route so it will bring us there directlty. Did a tour with a different provider and all of that was provided and made a difference For the better

We are quite experienced cyclists & have completed several European self-guided bike tours in the past.
We found this tour confusing with poorly marked and ambiguous bike trails. Suggest that using a GPS be mandatory. We got lost at least once every day!
Many bike lanes are on busy highways directly adjacent to cars going 80 km/hour, especially around cities. A bit unnerving to say the least.
Would remind travellers that in Germany most shops are closed on Sundays & many on Mondays too.
Not my favourite trip.

· Pearls of the Alsace Wine Route

The bike paths, scenery and charming villages were amazing and as advertised. The Obernai to Riquewihr ride was not as advertised. Due to the steep climb at the end, we all ended up walking our bikes up the last portion as e-bikes passed us. I don’t think this should be advertised as “moderate”.

The hotels were generally very good, a few comments:
• On arrival at Hotel Diana Dauphine in Strasbourg, we were advised that our bikes would be made available the next morning. When I confirmed this shortly after, we were given access to our bikes that evening, however the receptionist did not have the required luggage tags. I contacted the hotline and the representative from Espace Randonee, was rude and insisted that the receptionist had the tags. After I assured him we had checked with 2 different receptionists, he said he would contact them. The luggage tags were made available shortly thereafter. Communication with Espace Randonee was an issue.
• In Colmar we were advised that, due to the large group from Vermont Bike Tours, there were only 2 superior rooms available (not 3).
• We were disappointed that the trip ended in Saint-Louis, France. The hotel was underwhelming and there wasn’t much to do. As of today, your website still reflects Basel, Switzerland as the final destination. This is misleading and should be changed.

· Douro Valley Wine & E-Bike Tour

All in all it is a beautiful tour. However, be sure your biking skills are top notch and don't expect an easy ride. Lots of long uphills and downhills with sharp hairpin turns. The vineyards are beautiful and so are the views. I would not call it a wine tour, rather a castle tour, as the long daily distances leave very little time - if any - for wine tasting. Also, only a few vineyards are open for tasting after pre-arranged visit. But, enjoy the excellent, inexpensive local wines with your lunch and dinners.

· Pearls of the Alsace Wine Route

We really loved the Alsace region. The first few days we followed the Alsace Wine Route and you really do ride through the middle of vineyards. The scenery is beautiful and the villages are very picturesque. We opted to spend the day in Colmar and I was so glad we did. It was a highlight of the trip.

We found the description of the ride as Moderate to be misleading. We expected rolling hills and some climbs, but the steepness of the hills going into Riquewihr and Kayserberg was extreme. All the other riders we saw on the route that day were on e-bikes. So unless you are a very strong rider, I would recommend getting an e-bike.

The only disappointment with the itinerary was that the trip was changed to end in Saint-Louis, France rather than Basel, Switzerland. There really isn’t much to see or do in Saint-Louis. If this is going to continue, the trip description on the website really needs to be changed.

How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
We were expecting it to be hilly, but the hills going into Riquewihr and Kayserberg were extreme (around a 10% incline). Everyone in our group had to walk up, which made for an unpleasant experience. The other days were quite manageable on a pedal bike. In hindsight, I wish we had rented e-bikes. A better description for this ride would be Moderate to Difficult.

· Pearls of the Alsace Wine Route

It was wonderful travelling through the vineyards and chatting with the local farmers as they harvested the grapes. We also enjoyed travelling along scenic rivers and canals. Almost everything was paved, and only a small percentage of the trip was on roads with traffic. But the description of the ride is misleading. it should be described as moderate to difficult. In the material, it gave estimates of the grades of the various climbs. I rode with a Garmin GPS and it showed much different grades. For example, the last (#5) climb on Cycling Day 2 from Obernai into Riquewihr is described as a 3.3 percent grade over 5.06 km. What it doesn't say is that 3.3 percent is the average. In fact, much of the climb was between 3 and 6 percent, and a portion was over 9%. I registered 13% on my Garmin. This is not a moderate activity. We experienced similar discrepancies on some of the other days.

Hennie was the most gracious and helpful person I’ve ever met. The tour guide , we called him Pepe, was a blessing in disguise. If we hadn’t had him we might have struggled not knowing Spanish, he was very accommodating and willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs. After taking the tour Cindy, my wife, and I were glad it started in Bilbao vs starting in ribadesella, as each day got better and better!! The group was a lot of fun and we loved hearing their experiences with tripsite and the trips they had been on. Tripsite was awesome to work with, it made the setup on our end almost effortless. One thing I wish had been conveyed to us was to purchase euros through our US bank, if it hadn’t been for Hennie we would have been paying higher fees to convert $ to euros! Again , Hennie was awesome and we look forward to booking more tours with Tripsite.

· Highlights of Northern Zealand

First thing this is not an easy bike ride. There are climbs every day and sometimes in the forest on dirt roads. I would recommend a pedal assist if you want to enjoy this trip. Denmark is wonderful and the people are great however a little pricey to eat and drink! The tour company was not the greatest. They did not have a print out for us which we were supposed to get a 20 Euro refund which we have not received and their GPS was not working the last day so we had to rely on Apple. Our luggage did not arrive one night until 7:30 so that was very inconvenient and some of the hotels were not in the city.
