Albanian Highlights
Albania

This tour is a great value for the expenditure.

The Albanian bike trip started slowly on various fronts. Then, each day it built and built on the previous day’s experiences. Until, you were bombarded with so much beauty, good food and laughter that you could have been forgiven for thinking you had somehow slipped into heaven. Albeit, with Paragliders substituting for angels. I mean WOW.

Bato and Juli, the duo who looked after us;
were a father and son team. They were up to every challenge we hurled at them. They were competent, compassionate and charming.

My only recommendation would be to stay one extra night at the final hotel.

The reality of a 4:00 AM airport transfer after having had such a gratifying trip, was harsh! Ha

Matera to Lecce
Italy

Our guide Ernesto was great. The size of our group and lack of support from tour company was the source of most issues!
I loved the locations we were taken. The food was amazing and again our guide Ernesto was great.

Matera to Lecce
Italy

Visiting the city of Matera was a truly unique experience. The history and architecture was fascinating. Matera was a great place to begin our adventure through the Puglia region. The food was excellent throughout our tour and great effort was taken to be sure we were served locally grown tasty treats including yummy local wines.

Danube Bike Path - Vienna to Budapest
Austria, Hungary, Slovakia

The maps were more helpful than the written directions. All hotels were excellent, rooms, service and food. The bikes were quite heavy for the distances involved. The women did not like the seats, rubbed their lady parts the wrong way. Questions were answered quickly through What’s App. Inform riders than many restaurants in Europe are closed on Sundays. Have a map that shows where the hotel(s) are located. Considering the Danube flooding conditions, the staff responded quickly, but it would have been nice to be better informed each morning about changing conditions.

What a fantastic 10-day cycling trip to Albania! It was exciting to see the beauty of Albania on a bicycle from the Llogara Pass, a high mountain pass within the Ceraunian Mountains, to the coastline of the Albania Riveria. Our tour guide, Juli, and support team, Bato, did a fantastic job. The entire tour was seamless. The meals were preplanned and ready to be served when we got off the bikes. The routes were well-planned and beautiful, with excellent coffee breaks and interesting mini-tours along the way. I would highly recommend this trip.

Best of Tuscany Bike Tour
Italy

EVERYTHING about this trip was spectacular. We were so impressed with our guide Antonio in his expertise and knowledge of the area of Tuscany. The friends we made are memorable and probably lifelong. The food, the trails, the villages, the group dinners, the pizza lunch— all of it is memorable. We’ll be back for another Tripsite Trip!! Caio!

Albanian Highlights
Albania

I have always wanted to take a challenging cycling trip. It has taken me 10 years to find the right people to lead me there safely. Thank you Hennie. I loved how the trip swept us along a variety of landscape and terrain. I appreciate history and liked the stops along the way to see how these beautiful people have fared through the centuries. The food was more than ample and delicious! So much goodness comes from the land and the people’s effort.
The mountains were spectacular and the Ionian Sea at the end was our reward. We went back in time to see an agrarian society working hard, yet having access to good food and good water. I appreciated the drinking water all along the way ❤️
My big tip is to stay two extra nights in Vlorë when you are done to enjoy your newly toned muscles and the Sea. Also it wouldn’t hurt to come a day early just to have a day to discover Tiranë and deal with the challenges of traveling days.

Danube Bike Path - Regensburg to Passau
Germany

Great scenery, lovely accommodation, mostly easy and pleasant riding.

Suggest - check the status of construction along the river. We had one posted detour and one not posted. Without our own maps, we would have been a long way off course.
- check your bicycle carefully. My seat bolt was stripped so the seat went out of adjustment several times each day. As someone accustomed to working on bicycles, it was irritating but a rider not comfortable doing adjustments would have been very uncomfortable

My hubby and I did this tour in mid-August. Despite the heat and the elevation gain more than we expected, this tour was surprisingly amazing!! The route was beautiful AND interesting, and it was always such a treat to stay at the Paradors. Bikes were in good shape but we did have one mechanical issue,.. however the support line was quick to resolution. We definitely will not forget this trip for all the right reasons!

We enjoyed the whole experience! At the end of day 1 my wife said I could do this again - that didn’t change. Our group leaders (and support team) had to manage the impact of flooding and gave us a memorable experience - they couldn’t have tried harder. E-bikes made it accessible for less experienced or older riders but it still requires many hours in the saddle. Don’t expect to lose much weight as the food was plentiful and excellent. The WhatsApp group created for us made it easy to keep in contact. We are so pleased to have picked this tour!

Sicily - Syracuse, Noto Valley, & Baroque Villages
Italy

Cycling through the smaller rural villages and on rural roads we really enjoyed. The people are really friendly and helpful. It was easy to follow the route with the GPS app supplied. The Baroque villages are fascinating . We especially loved staying in the old city of Syracuse. Well worth spending an extra day here.

We have to add that there is quite a bit of cycling on busy roads which was not that enjoyable.

On the whole though can highly recommend this trip.

A delightful 8 days of biking in Albania on an e-bike! Every day we experienced something different and beautiful scenery. I enjoyed biking through the farmlands and mountains and along the coast. Excellent accommodations and food. The Albanian people were friendly, especially the motorists who patiently shared the roads with us, although we mostly had the roads to ourselves. The guide was excellent and made the trip extra fun. The sag wagon worked out very well too, if someone was having an off day. I've been on eight TripSite vacations and this was one of my favorites.

Albania

This is my 2nd trip that I booked through Tripsite and again it DID NOT disappoint. Our adventure through Albania was amazing. I don’t know how or who finds the tour guides there, but they are without a doubt. The trip I went on last year was so fabulous that ALL of the same people (17)wanted to do another trip together. That REALLY says a lot for this company, our tour guide Julian took us through parts of Albania, that were so magnificent that only pictures can describe it. The places we stayed, the sights that we saw, the food that we ate, and how well organized everything was was beyond belief. I can’t wait to hear what trip site is thinking for next year‘s trip. Thank you to Hennie and everyone at Tripsite & Julian & Bato our guides for making this extra special.

PS: If there is a place to put pictures. I will be happy to include some. A+ experience

I was very impressed with the organization of this tour, thanks to Juli and his papa, Bato. Our bikes were always ready and fully charged by Bato and Juli led our group through the beautiful Albanian countryside with efficiency, grace and humor. It wasn't always easy managing 18 of us! The restaurants were always ready for us with food that was delicious and plentiful. Our accommodations were very nice, clean and comfortable. Eight days and 300 miles of cycling was the right amount of time and distance. I would highly recommend this trip with Juli and Bato!

Loire Valley - Orléans to Tours
France

In May 2024 my two friends and I did this bike trip.
Tripsite was fabulous organising our hotels and bikes. The best part was by 9 am each morning our luggage was picked up and delivered to our next accommodation in a beautiful town. The e-bikes were perfect to make the days ride very pleasant. The paths are very well sign posted, so extremely easy to follow and the terrain was for the most part flat making the riding easy.
I’d recommend staying an extra night in Amboise and Tours, lots to see.
We used the standard accommodation, all a bit quirky but clean and comfortable enough for 1 night stay.
All the accommodation are geared up for cyclists, all having places to store the bikes and some even for charging e-bikes.
You will not be alone on the path passing other cycling enthusiasts. France is a cycling country so you’ll notice lots of families out as you get closer to towns.
We rewarded ourselves with a chateau stay once we finished at Read More

Cycling in the Baltics - Vilnius to Tallinn
Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia

This was a great guided bike trip through some lovely parts of the Baltic countries and an opportunity to learn about the complicated history of the region. Although there were transfers on a motor coach most days (which allowed us to see so many different areas), there was still plenty of biking and sightseeing each day. The route was almost completely flat, with only a few short hills to navigate. The pre-booked dinners were at the hotels and had fixed menus: the upside was that it was so simple after a day of biking, but the downside there wasn't the opportunity to check out local restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the city tours in Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn and the biking on the Estonian island of Saaremaa.

Danube Bike Path - Vienna to Budapest

Our cycling trip was marred by inclimate weather which cut the tour short due to flooding of the Danube. Because of the detours that were forced upon us we got to see some of the national forest (although we had to clime over downed trees to get through.

Catalonian Flavors of the Mediterranean
Spain

Very fun trip, the parts along the old railway are great because you don’t run into car traffic…there are a fair amount of walkers and joggers so you need to watch for that.
The parts in the small towns are interesting because you are riding in little alleys. When you get on the roads between the towns you need to be careful of cars because many of them will pass you very fast.
In some towns and along the seashore some of the roads/trails have been banned for bikes, so you need to either walk your bike or find you way around on other streets.
What’s nice is different scenery on each day so the ride is never monotonous.

Flavors of Italy: The very best of Emilia-Romagna
Italy

It was a great trip. Everything went smoothly. Sophie from TripSite was very responsive. The hotels were all located in central locations, clean and had great breakfast buffets. The Art Hotel Commercianti in Bologna and the Agriturismo La Razza were fabulous. The food in this region is top notch and the people are so friendly.

Don't let hills deter you from doing a bike trip - I used an e-bike and it was so easy to do the hills. Bike is such a great way to travel!

I really enjoyed the Paradors.... each unique and comfortable. The biking is through rural countryside (mostly paved roads and light traffic but there can be stretches with heavier traffic, drivers were courteous in my experience). Beautiful area. Very hilly, but very pretty. I would recommend this trip.

Best of Tuscany Bike Tour
Italy

Just returned from this tour. This is one of my favorite bike tours of all time. Our guide Antonio and driver Felix were outstanding in meals, information, and great personalities. My wife and I rode e-bikes for this trip and were thankful we did. While some others struggled at times we were able to enjoy the scenery and still get as much of a workout as desired. The route is heavily roads and gravel making the wider tires a much better choice. If your hard core be prepared.
The food and accommodations were very good. Definitely would recommend.

Puglia Food & Wine
Italy

This ride was so well organized and memorable in so many ways. The places we rode to, the food we ate and the local wines we drank made this ride one to remember. Riding through back farm roads with little traffic, seeing the olive trees, dry rock walls and cactus plants, all touched our hearts. The reason we love bike riding is to connect with the land, absorbing the atmosphere of who the people are and how they live. The rides each day were so good, the accommodation was exceptional, you will not be disappointed. Staying at Lecce, Otranto, Santa Maria de Leuca and Gallipoli were highlights along the way, as was walking to the tip of the "heel" of Italy. So special and memorable.

Matera to Lecce
Italy

The Bike company organizing this trip was amazing. Their attention to detail, interest in our ride, information given, was outstanding. The chosen accommodation was first class, as were the meals that were included. The state of Italian roads was challenging and s few sections of the ride quite uninspiring, but overall we loved the places we stayed at and the journey along the way, especially Polignano, Alberobello and Lecce. A wonderful experience of Puglia.
