Absoloutely above and beyond my expectations. Crew and owner of boat gave went out of their way daily to make sure our needs were met. QUO vadis was a beautiful boat.

Generally the trip was very good. The only disappointment was that the dining room was not air-conditioned and became quite uncomfortable.

Countryside . . stunning views & lovely rides. E Bikes exceptionally good and reliable.

Cycling alongside the Douro with views of vineyards, quaint villages, and castles. A picnic lunch prepared by our guide at a castle was the crowning jewel.

The Douro River area is absolutely beautiful with a wide variety of agriculture, geography, cities and small villages to enjoy. Biking provides a great experience unlike what can be done on a bus tour. We were a group of twenty two, estimated ages 50 and up, all with reasonably similar skills and fitness levels. The cycling was well managed by a team from Germany (fluent in English) and the equipment was in excellent condition with a few minor issues promptly addressed. The daily tours started with transportation to a drop off point well above the river to begin cycling to the docking location of the Alva, a beautiful nearly new ship. Much of the cycling was therefore downhill and the occasional up hills were easily managed by most with power settings on the E-bikes. We'd consider most of the cycling as moderate and relatively safe on mostly country roads, although there are stretches of downhill with sharp curves, steep drop offs and city biking including cobble stone roads that less experienced riders may consider risky. The daily biking ranged from about 17 miles to 37 miles with periodic stops for rest, water, refreshments or lunch on the longest day. We'd recommend having at least some prior E-bike familiarity. The September weather was near perfect - cool mornings, warm afternoons, sunny, no humidity so light jackets over short sleeves seemed to be just right.

The Andela Lora is a beautiful boat with a great crew. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The IslandHopper tour guides were very accommodating and fun to be with. Strongly recommend using the Ebike for this tour and make sure to take advantage of the multiple chances to swim off the back of the boat!

Overall trip was fantastic. Guides were knowledgeable and fun. Boat and accommodations were top notch. Only criticism was communication with main office. Vouchers and information about logistics weren’t sent until requested and they contained inaccurate information.

This was truly the most fantastic vacations we have ever had. The whole experience was a delight. The boat, the crew, our exceptional guides Eddie and Luca were top notch. The food was delicious and the portions generous.
The ebikes were great and the tour pushed our limits but was never too strenuous. The islands we visited were magnificent and we learned so much about the history of Croatia.

The experince was wonderful except for the flights home. Lots of changes with no notifications from Tripsite.

This trip was by far, the best trip of my life! The boat, the Andela Lora, and our room, were comfortable and clean. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable about Croatia and the routes we took. The food was very delicious-neither my husband nor I had a bad meal! The biking and the routes were beautiful!! With the ebike, we had the option to make it a hard ride if we wanted, but could master the hills and keep up with the ebike options. We swam almost every day off the boat, enjoyed spectacular views along our routes and while sailing, and enjoyed the tours of the towns. Our bike guides, Kristopher and Mario, were fanastic! We definitely will do another boat/barge tour with Inselhuepfen!! Our agent with Tripsite, Claudia, was also fanastic! She answered all our questions promptly, made the transfers and reservations we needed. It made the whole experience so easy!! If I could give both the Inselhuepfen and Tripadvisor 10 stars, I would!!

We rode from Dubrovnik to Split stopping at 5 islands. Only 22 people on our trip but most agreed Stari Grad on the Island of Hvar was our favorite. Eddie & Lukas were our guides. They were so much fun. They would take turns who would lead and who would sweep. Telling stories and the history of each locale. We would stop for a water, wine or beer along our route, taking in breathtaking views. The crew on the Harmonia Boat were friendly taking time to chat but focusing on their chores and responsibilities. I watched in amazement how the Captain maneuvered the boat to dock or tie up to adjoining boats each day. With precision we sailed and docked with effortless seamanship.
At the end of each day we would all dine on board Harmonia and talk about each days adventure. If you are thinking of taking this trip go for it. You will not be disappointed. And should be lucky enough to have Eddie and Lukas as your guides, you're in for treat.

Best trip ever. It would be nice if the crew did not smoke on board but that is the only negative thing. Everything else was fabulous!

Our trip with island hopping.com with Luka and Eddie was really great. No real signs of negativity and always a push to think out of the box. The accommodations were fine, and the food was very good with lots of variety. Nina our host was friendly and always willing to pour that glass of wine. I wish our boat could have spent a few nights in a cove instead of the port as to encounter less people and more nature. Otherwise I enjoyed the multiple swimming opportunities and relaxing on the boat. The bike routes were fantastic with the best amount of challenge and not too much. I just loved biking everyday but also appreciated the opportunity for some to stay back if they wanted.

A couple of stands out . First the staff , they were friendly and welcoming. There was nothing they would not do to ensure your safety and enjoyment. They worked hard so we didn’t have to . The evening gatherings to discuss next’s days events . And the flexibility of the captain to make a few stops that to allow people to return or leave.
The bike route brought us through beautiful vineyards, gorgeous landscape, and river views. Biking downhill through the tunnels and stopping in a wine cave was exhilarating.
Tips take rain gear, forecast was for sunny skies everyday but we ran into thunder shows.

We enjoyed everything about the tour! Our group was very international representative of Italy, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Switzerland, UK, and Germany. Our guide was Giorgio. He was knowledgeable about the area and it’s history and took us on many side trips including a gastronomic experience at a local cheese factory.
After biking all day we returned to a fresh snack and of course an outstanding meal at dinner made by our exceptional cook who greeted us every evening with a heartfelt Buona sera! We felt the crew did an outstanding job and were always willing to help with any given situation. Great job everybody!

The ship Quo Vadis the boat and crew were great. Our guides Leah and Tami made the bike riding and stops along the way very interesting.

Excellent trip with family, friends and new friends. The small port villages, biking routes and swim stops were amazing. First time with ebikes and definitely not our last.

I enjoyed being on a smaller boat and getting to know everyone. Rick is a great cook, Mariska a great first mate and Ed a fun and patient guide

The reason we booked this trip was the I wanted to see a European rail-trail. It for us, was the highlight of the whole week.

Learnt how to use an e bike effectively while seeing some amazing landscapes as well as sea scapes.

We loved biking thru the wineries and the different scenery each day. We also loved the evening meals visiting with new and old friends.

The entire Douro valley was spectacular with its terraced steep walls. Food was excellent and service was good. We loved the bike tour guides and the rides, especially the one that began in Almeida.

This was a vacation that exceeded even our very high expectations. The Melody and its crew were amazing and 30 passengers is the perfect number for traveling, dining and making new friends. Highly recommend boat/bike excursions.

This was our second bike trip in Croatia and it was spectacular. The boat, the scenery, the guide, the history…the beauty of it all.

Lovely Croatian coast. Be an experienced bike rider because of crowed promenades, sea wall drop-offs and narrow roadways.
The boat was grand and meals very good.
Two guides each day, one leader and one sweep.
The swimming stops were many and anticipated as much as the biking.

The beauty of Croatia is breathe taking! The boat was comfortable and roomy. We found that we didn’t do as much biking as we had hoped. The rides had numerous long breaks with often nothing to do. One thing we were very upset with was the guides wouldn’t phone for a taxi or other means of transportation at the end. There was something about the boat having a transfer company which was extremely expensive but they weren’t allowed to provide anything else! Never experienced anything like this before. The food was ok, but far too much cheap fish for my liking.

First the good review. The boat was excellent. Food and staff were very good. The Terra Nova biking company was terrific. The guides were knowledgeable and each day’s bike ride was really great. We would recommend this bike/boat to anyone.
However we were extremely disappointed in TripSite as a company!! We have now been on 4 TripSite Bike and Boat, but on this trip there were originally 9 who made reservations 4 couples and one single. We all submitted our reservation and our deposit and all received confirmation. Some time later (a couple months) the single member of our party received a notice that her reservation though confirmed was being cancelled even though she had been paid extra for a single room. She also was a two time previous TripSite customer. The remaining 4 couple fully intended to cancel as well but our friend begged us not to and said she would feel worse if we didn’t go so we continued and took the trip. TripSite that was the poorest business practice we have ever encountered, totally low class and just down right greedy. In the past we have recommended your company to many other friends. We will not do that in the future and in fact will likely avoid booking through your company. Basically you have lost 11 repeat customers. I hope it was worth the extra cash you made booking a double versus a single.
It is unlikely that you will share these comments on your website, but if we could have rated Tripsite you would have gotten zero or one star, so please don’t take credit for the 5 star rating!!!
