Fluvius Amsterdam to Bruges
Netherlands, Belgium
The most memorable part of the trip for me was the interpretation the trip leaders gave of their culture. It felt very personal and caring. The food was very good and the onboard staff were excellent. The ship is sound but needs refurbishing. Be aware that the Dutch and Belgians make their beds with a bottom sheet and a duvet only. You may want to bring a top sheet and a wash cloth or two.
Really enjoyed the camaraderie with other participants & the captain & crew members & our tour guides. Some suggestions would be a few more stops to drink water & take photos on the rides. Also, the gluten free accommodations were very much appreciated.

Magnifique IV Amsterdam to Bruges

Antwerp, Ghent and Brugge were our favourite towns/cities. The tour leaders were fun and informative and our experience on the boat - food, accommodation and relaxed atmosphere - was wonderful. Would recommend to anyone.

Fluvius Amsterdam to Bruges

This is a beautiful and scenic ride, along canals, through farm lands, and picture perfect villages. This is flat ride for - those who do not like hills!
The Fluvius was a comfortable boat with a very friendly staff and excellent dinners.
Our tour guides were fun, efficient and always there when needed.

This was a great trip for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers. How great to have a vacation filled with activity that we could do together, meals made and planned for us, and time to relax together and meet new people! We also loved seeing so many great places in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Crew and meals were awesome. Would be great if they introduced everyone at the first meeting or meal. Also would be great if they had a signup sheet for emails to keep the group connected.

Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour
Belgium, Netherlands
This is a tremendous bicycle tour. The coastal routes on the first two days were very nice, the small towns we stayed in were charming, and the ride from Gouda to Amsterdam on the final day was very memorable. The GPS routes were very reliable and the paper maps were helpful as well. The only negative was that the bicycles should have been in better shape.

Magnifique III Amsterdam to Bruges

Riding through the beautiful countryside as well as riding through wonderful cities. Stopping for coffee or a drink at a local spot. Really getting to see the neighborhoods and towns of Holland and Belgium. In addition, getting to know the other people on the ship, which were from all over the world. The staff is excellent, the food was excellent, the trip exceeded my expectations. If you decide to do this trip, you will not be disappointed.

Magnifique II Amsterdam to Bruges
Netherlands, Belgium
Riding through the countryside and neighborhoods seeing how people lived & getting the history of areas we passed through. Most memorable would be the Windmills and learning the reason for being & their purpose.
Enjoyed the guides, Haans & Brian, they were informative and attentive to all our needs on the rides. The rides through the countryside were relaxing, interesting to see how the people lived as we rode through neighborhoods, visiting the Towns after our lunch & coffee breaks. The whole staff on the cruise were excellent. Chef Michael outdid himself with the meals every night. The servers, Marja & Meca were pleasant and looked after all our needs. And of course Captain Michael did an excellent job maneuvering the Canals and got us back safe & sound.

When my wife became ill the captain checked on her while I was off the boat. When a doctor was needed the captain phoned and a doctor appeared in our cabin 45 minutes later. One of the tour guides road his bicycle in the middle of the night to buy the needed medicine. The two service women anticipated our needs before I asked. Amazing and unforgettable service.

Amsterdam to Bruges Bike Tour
Netherlands, Belgium
This was our first trip through Tripsite since our honeymoon almost a decade ago, and I cannot say enough great things about how wonderful and easy it is to book through them. We upgraded to category A, and were extremely pleased by how nice the hotels were- well worth the slight price increase.
Highlights: Everything? The scenery is unbelievable. The North Sea ride was gorgeous. Gouda is as beautiful a city as I've ever seen. Swans everywhere, hardly any hills; Bruges is captivating; Willemstaad is idyllic; Zierkzee is quaint and beautiful; Middelburg is bustling and brimming with life. Unreal.
Lowlights: I can't really say there were. Papendrecht is an oddity here, Dordrecht across the river is much much cooler and worth wandering around. I will say that the hotel in Dordrecht and their lovely staff made it Read More worthwhile.
Recommended: RAIN SLICKER. It rained or misted all but one trip, I think. E-Bike, too- this isn't selling out. The headwinds and crosswinds are utterly brutal at times! We would 100% do this trip again!!!!

Amsterdam to Bruges Bike Tour

Seeing all the old buildings along the canal, seeing the North Sea, eating authentic stroopwafels, and having mussels in Belgium. Honestly the entire trip was amazing.
My only tip would be to rent an e-bike! We didn’t and encountered strong headwinds that significantly slowed us down, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted to. Also, spend two nights in Bruges!

Feniks Brussels to Bruges
Belgium
The Feniks was a fine boat, and the accommodations were better than I expected. There were only 4 other passengers, with 4 crew, so we were well cared for. The bike was comfortable and efficient. The (vegan) food was EXCELLENT. It would have been nice to have more of a mixed group (others were ALL Dutch, but it worked out ok.
Few pointers: there was no internet on the boat, some days we rode as much as 70K, but mostly flat, we mostly docked outside of towns/villages.

Feniks Bruges to Paris
Belgium, France
This was an amazing tour for several reasons. Firstly, there were 7 (rather than a full complement of 14) experienced cyclists over the age of 60, none of whom used an e-bike. This allowed the guide to change the cycle route to reflect our abilities, to show us some special sights and to give us a special experience. Harm, the guide, did this with ease. Secondly, the crew of the Feniks was excellent. This includes Fiona, the captain, Rainier, the assistant and Hilde, the cook. Thirdly, the laundry service was a game changer. If we had understood what this service involved, we could have packed considerably lighter.

Zwaantje Bruges to Amsterdam
Belgium, Netherlands
The Zwaantje, Captain Martijn, and his crew were among the highlights of this trip. We had an amazing time exploring the different cities. The routes were easy to follow and the guides were great, friendly and personable, though I would have loved more history/information during our rides. We enjoyed the variety of scenery, the option to go off on our own, and the opportunity to socialize with many other adventurous people :)

Magnifique II Amsterdam to Bruges

What a wonderful trip! We found the biking very enjoyable- the scenery was BEAUTIFUL and the daily routes mostly flat. It was nice to stop after riding awhile for a beer/drink or snack while enjoying the sights and history of local villages. The Magnifique II had welcoming staff, nice accommodations, and great food. Would highly recommend this trip!!

Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour
Belgium, Netherlands
What a lovely 6 day bike trip. The hotels, routes, and towns along the way were all special and memorable in their own way. My wife and I and our two teenage children loved it. I recommend doing it from Bruges to Amsterdam because by the time we reached Amsterdam, we were prepared to bike around that bike crazy town with the locals. Having my own GPS using the pre-programmed routes was incredibly useful in navigating the sprawling Netherlands cycle system. We loved that there was a protected/designated bike path often removed from cars for the majority of the time. Would absolutely do it again.

Sailing Home Amsterdam to Bruges
Netherlands, Belgium
Best way to see the countryside, Unesco heritage sites ( Kinderdijk and Delta Works) of the Netherlands and Belgium (Bruges). An added bonus were the evening tour guided walks through each town where we met our docked barge. The dinners were always 3 courses- much tastier than expected and breakfast offered healthy options. As a senior traveller, I was happy to have rented an e-bike for the couple of days where we biked into the wind. The crew was warm & friendly and the accommodations on the Sailing Home barge were cozy and comfortable. The sun deck with cover was an additional gathering space. After a week together, felt like I was leaving family.

Always the staff and fellow passengers are the highlight of bike and barge trips. We loved the rides through the countryside and tiny towns, visits to the windmills, the dairy, the vending machines sporting fresh strawberries, the food on the barge, and so much more.

Quo Vadis Amsterdam to Bruges - 11 days
Netherlands, Belgium
Wow, what an amazing experience. Crew and other travelers were fantastic. I enjoyed biking everyday even on the days that the wind was in my face all day. We had fantastic weather and were able to enjoy the sunshine and sites that we travelled on our bikes each day. Wim was our tour guide and he was very friendly and lead us from Bruges to Amsterdam without any issues. Breakfast and dinner on the boat were great, along with the option to pack a lunch or stop in a village for lunch. Sadly the Quo Vadis is being sold or we would for sure book another bike and boat tour utilizing their services. Great, kind crew for sure.

Thanks for the review! The Quo Vadis is indeed being sold but will be upgraded this winter so it will be back bigger and better for next season. Stay tuned for that update and thanks for your business.

Magnifique IV Bruges to Amsterdam
Belgium, Netherlands
The Magnifique IV is as comfortable and roomy as a canal barge can be. The crew and guides were caring and attentive, performing their roles perfectly. The meals were lovely, excellent, beautifully prepared and presented.
The daily routes were delightful, with a dramatic scenic build as we entered The Netherlands and approached Amsterdam.
Bring a strap-on water bottle cage for easy and frequent hydration during the day.
