A very easy and relaxing ride with a lovely crew and a well-maintained boat. While I’ve done several bike and barge trips, this one doesn’t quite measure up to the others. I find this part of Italy less charming and quaint for cycling through the countryside, more pedestrian. Despite that, it was overall a great experience.

1.The biking in the Dutch countryside was great. and a highlight.
2.The riding in the city was a bit hectic and I enjoyed getting an idea of being a biking commuter. .
3.The weather was challenging at times and that is just the way it turned out for us.
4.The stop at the outdoor museum was not that much fun I would just drive by it and not stop.
5. The guides and boat crew were very nice and made it a great ride.
6.The ride was organized to move quickly even with a lot of people.

The Staff, the Food, the towns we visited were amazing. The rooms on board exceeded our expectations with amenities found in premium hotels. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it’s essentially a 4 day experience with really only 3 days of cycling. IE: Day one board at 2pm with no cycling day 5 disembark at 9am with no cycling. A better description of the actual experience would be my recommendation.

Enjoyed the variation in scenery….through small villages, along canals, through parks, kinderdikes, along dam system, beaches and fields. Enjoyed that the biking extended throughout the day, with stops for coffee and lunch. Tours through the destination towns were interesting, but most businesses were closed, except for restaurants.

We had so much fun! This trip is great for a variety of mobility and fitness, as the trails are straightforward and easy terrain. You go past castle upon castle and through timber home towns. We went during the fall, so got to enjoy the crisp air and leaves changing. Very glad we planned ahead with the right layers. There were great options for activities and sights to see along the way. Make sure you do your research around operating hours, tickets, and what options there are to get there. We loved Eltz Castle and Cohem Castle. Some required hiking to get to. The tour operator offered a lot of additional activities as well that were really fun like a historical walking tour, wine tasting, and etc. They were very thoughtful to accommodate a variety of languages for us to join.

This was a great trip because of the great guides, great crew, and great cook.

Our ship, Running on Waves could not have been better. The ship was immaculately clean. Our cabin’s, although small, were very comfortable. I would have to say the staff met our every need. The food was amazing, every meal was a variety and extremely well prepared. Due to the closing of the Corinth Canal, our tour had to be modified. I felt that the captain did the best he could to see that we had a great trip. Lena, the cruise Director was sometimes over the top, making sure all of our needs were met. Alex, our bike guide also did a great job.
I would highly recommend this bike tour.

Boat/biking trips are our favorite way to travel and this is our favorite trip ever! The family who crews this boat made our time aboard safe, well organized and full of adventure. The scenery on the islands is stunning! The e-bikes we used were perfect for the terrain and comfortable. Our tour guide kept us safe, informed and entertained. This trip is absolutely deserving of the 5 stars in every category!

Amazing time on San Snova - the boat, the rides, guides Merta and Marko & crew were all amazing! We had a blast with our fellow travelers and were amazed at Chef Luka’s wonderful luncheons and dinners!! Such a wonderful adventure!!

The food served on board was Excellent. The views from on board as we moved between towns was also excellent – far superior to any public ferry or catamaran. The bicycle touring was thoughtfully managed and routed, and very enjoyable. Our state room was very comfortable (up in the bow and far from the engine room), and the common areas were well appointed and fun to hang out in (very "yacht-ty"!). Laundry lines strung along both sides of the boat were invaluable for drying our cycling gear after light laundring/rinsing during the trip.
In all a great travel value.

I can’t stop thinking about this trip — it was just incredible! The crew was amazing, always ready to help and make everything easy and fun. The boat felt cozy, cabins super comfy, and everything was spotless.

We biked every day — anywhere from 20 to 60 km — and the scenery blew me away. Endless olive groves, sparkling blue sea, quiet roads, and secret beaches you couldn’t reach without a bike. Morning yoga on deck was such a nice way to wake up and stretch before hitting the pedals.

And the food… wow! Every meal was different, with plenty of choices between fish and meat, plus fresh fruits, berries, and local treats. I’ll never forget the lamb and langoustines. October was perfect — great weather, beautiful nature, and peaceful towns with almost no tourists. I’d go back in a heartbeat and try more routes! This tour is perfect if you love cycling, exploring, and just enjoying life by the sea.

This trip was outstanding. The boat was very comfortable and well thought out. The owner of the boat and captain, Ante was engaging and informative. The guides,Tara and Ivan were outstanding and did a great job coordinating our bike rides working around the weather. The crew of the boat inclined Rino, Bruna, Tonka, Niksa, Josip, and Alma were all outstanding. I would highly recommend this trip.

The final day, the trail through the countryside and along the river were the most beautiful. Also liked the stop in the small town bakery. I especially like visiting the small towns, eating and wandering around to learn how they live and what their customary foods and drinks are.

There were 30 riders, sadly 3 were injured, one seriouisly and needed surgery. I would recommend avoiding cobblestone streets which is where 2 of the 3 accidents occured. The busy streets were also an additional hazard.

Our bike/barge trip surpassed our expectations. The crew was great: the captain, the crew who took care of us on the boat, and our two guides. We really enjoyed the bonus of stopping along the route to see interesting sites or to have a treat and tea in a pretty spot. The Moselle Valley is so beautiful, and in October the colors were unexpectedly beautiful. We would definitely recommend this!

Enjoyed the camaraderie knowledge of the staff. Iris had a wonderful layout but maybe not a round sink in bathroom w faucet in center so when washing your face water goes all over

The places where we cycled were great, although the bike and e-bike weren’t very good and to complete we almost lost the boat cause nobody told us that the place where we were supposed to board had changed!

Everything was as advertised, food, boat, and guides. Eddie & Dominique were attentive and entertaining as they explained each days ride, The food was more than expected from a small gally with only two chefs.

The boat was very nice and cozy. I loved the fact it was ran by a family. The staff were nice and helpful. Nice tour guide also.
What I liked the most was there flexibility of changing our Island hopping according to the weather. We ended up having the best weather possible during our trip ❤️

Hein was an absolutely amazing and interesting guide; the crew was fantastic. Special kudos to the chef (Geovani): best food by far of any of our 3 tripsite boat/bike trips so far. And we LOVED Alicia (our overall helper etc). So personable and friendly and wonderful that she shared her artwork with us! And a great group of fellow travellers/bikers to share this with. Just a fantastic trip!

My trip was Cochem to Metz and it was excellent! The Iris is a beautiful, well furnished barge that had a fabulous welcoming, friendly crew and two fun guides to show us the historical sights along the Moselle River. Extra activities for us were delightful. Fun to be with a smaller group of people on this bike and barge trip. I would definitely go on another excursion!

This was a really great holiday! The people and staff were so nice, the guides were great, the food was amazing and we had really good weather, only one bit of rain!
Lots of people under dressed, for the boat, as it can be windy in the evenings, and many wished they had gloves for the ride.

I really enjoyed the people and exploring a small part of Italy. Our crew was amazing.
