Navigating through the backroads and pathways, stopping in small towns for coffee and bier. Charming landscapes, interesting canals and features and our floating hotel always waiting for us at the end of the day. Norbert our cycle tour host was excellent!

How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
The biking difficultly was as expected. Im 60 and rented an ebike. I rode with and without pedal assist depending on the terrain and energy level. The marked bike paths were scenic and easy to follow. The navigation was sometimes trcky when a bike path ended or there was a detour.

· Denmark and Sweden’s Scenic Coastlines

The most memorable part of the trip is a difficult decision because there were so many experiences from which to choose. I think, though, I’ll never forget seeing the ship for the first time when our uber driver drove his car almost right up to the gang plank! To know that I was going to be on a sailing ship and bicycling in Denmark and Sweden for 8 days and 7 nights was a WOW moment.

· Bike & Sail Holland’s UNESCO Wadden Sea & IJsselmeer

Great bike tour of a beautiful, natural area of the Netherlands; Terschelling, in particular, was a spectacular ride. Our tour guides, Anja and Hans, did a great job providing background information on all the ports and sights as well as adjusting the rides based on rain and wind, and the needs of the captain. On our tour, they had extra e-bikes, which they were able to offer to pedal-bike users (for a daily fee) on the two windiest days. The boat was comfortable and the sailing easy, which made for a unique experience compared with more common barge or hotel-to-hotel tours.

The Slovenia hiking tour was well done!. What a beautiful country. As for the tour, I appreciate that the tour was set up to show us varied regions and sites of interest or beauty throughout the country. The breakfasts and lunches were fabulous- and again varied with the local traditional dishes beautifully presented and quite tasty. The hotels were comfortable and their staff were always friendly and English Speaking.. Matej, our guide was great- and in my case, extremely helpful in understanding my hiking limitations and assuring that I was still able to see much of the beautiful terrain while being safe. I appreciate that Tripsite (Ani and the Tripsite office) were able to promptly accommodate my late notice that I would have some unplanned hiking complications. Our only consideration was that we did not all notice until quite late before the trip that the trip ended somewhere other than Llubljana where we started. We should have noticed, but it did lead to a last minute scurry to find transportation back to Ljubljana before our scheduled flights.

· Bolzano to Venice

Biking from Bolzano to Trento surrounded by mountains and scenery was memorable.
The extra days in Bolzano were well worth it. Lots to do with gondola rides and hikes to wineries.
The bike app worked pretty well, although some instruction was either confusing or a bit late.
Unfortunately we were kicked off the ferry ride on Lake Garda with bikes due to transportation strikes so had to take a van. We missed some scenery, but also had a faster trip to Pescheira.
We got caught in quite a downpour one day and the next day was looking stormy also, so we took a train.
Easy getting train tickets, harder getting spots on the train for bikes. We got the last.
Venice was nice, but naturally crowded. Hotels were mostly nice accommodations. Hotel staffs were pleasant and helpful. Hotel Majestic seems to go by different names and was initially difficult to find.
We enjoyed the self-guided bike tour, even though we didn't use E-bikes.

The harbor towns and the biking were most memorable. We enjoyed the commaraderie of the group we were with. I feel we learned about Croatian history and current affairs. We loved the in depth experience of Croatian island life we got as we biked around the islands.

· Amsterdam to Bruges

We elected to do self guided rides every day, this allowed us to stop and take photos, or explore as much as we wanted at each stop. The Ride GPS app worked great! We could confidently strike out on our own. Guides (Corry and Anna) answered any questions we had, to clarify stops, what to do, etc. before we set out. The evening tours were a bonus we enjoyed each day. The barge was way more luxurious than we expected. Every staff member was super nice, and took care of any request we had. The food (snacks, meals and drinks) were also beyond our expectations. We were glad we packed rain gear, as we needed it 3 days. E-bikes made the miles very manageable (we elected long route every day), and the provided dry bag panniers were greatly appreciated. My first trip to Europe, and I believe biking 180 miles allowed me to experience The Netherlands and Belgium way better than someone visiting only the big cities. I HIGHLY recommend this trip for anyone who likes to bike.

· Basque Country to Asturias by E-Bike

The most memorable part of this trip for me were the views of the beautiful Basque Country coastline and the charming places where we spent the nights. The weather cooperated for the most part also which made it that much better. I also would be remiss if I didn't mention Hennie who goes ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure each of us has a wonderful experience & addresses any of our concerns. She's the BEST!!! Our tour guide Pepe(as we called him) was great and swung in with us almost every night & we/I really enjoyed his company. I also met several new people which I will continue to keep in touch with. I really LOVE that aspect as well. So Thankyou Tripsite, Hennie, Pepe & our gang for another fun trip.

Most memorable were the numerous little towns, beautiful farmland, and forests. The arrival in Czesky Krumlov was spectacular. Stop to take a picture before descending into the town because you will never get this opportunity on the way out.
Hotels were nearly perfect for our needs. I would suggest an upgrade for Czesky Krumlov. The hotel was quite outdated, food marginal. All other accommodations were great.

· Bruges to Amsterdam Bike Tour

What I am left with is the memory of the wonderful people I met on the trip. People from all over coexisted, braved some very wet weather, adapted to continuous itinerary changes due to weather conditions and still had a lovely experience. Food and accommodations were excellent. Kudos to the guide Peter who spent hours on his computer sleuthing out alternate routes for cycling as our itinerary continually changed. We missed some cities and had little time in others but you can't control Mother Nature or "traffic control" on the canals. All in all we had a great time and I will definitely book another B & B trip.

When did you take this tour?
September 14 - 21
How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
The cycling was easy but while I started with a standard bike I quickly switched to the Ebike due to the distances. Alternate routes, extending distance, were offered and without the E-bike I would not have been able to take advantage. RE: routes, I gave it a 3 because weather forced itinerary changes causing us to miss some cities and not have enough time to spend in others. We were constantly trying to catch up with the barge. No ones fault. Mother Nature at work.

· Multi-adventure on Madeira Island

The most memorable part of the Madeira Multi-Adventure Tour was simply seeing so much of the island, with its many different landscapes. The hiking and biking tours took us through arid peninsulas, lush forests, rugged mountain peaks (specifically the impressive Pico Ruivo), and by majestic oceanside cliffs and towns nestled on rocky beaches. Our whale watch on the last "free day" allowed us to see the entire south side of the island by boat. We saw so much of the island during the week we were there.
What should be improved is communication on how the transfers to the starting points of each activity day worked, as well as transfers of the luggage. We went into the trip not quite fully understanding who was picking us up each morning, where they were dropping us off, and who to contact at the end of our activity day to pick us up. How our luggage would get to our next hotel was unknown too. However, after a few days we learned how things worked, but more description up front would be helpful to others doing this tour in the future. Additionally, we read the bike tours offered ebikes only - but ended up not getting them. We were given normal mountain bikes with a wide range of gears, which ended up being great due to the majority of our riding being downhill -- so no real need for the ebike. However, we may have paid more for something we did not end up getting. Overall, this trip was truly an adventure and we had tons of laughs and made lifelong memories! :)

Our group truly enjoyed the week on the Vivienne. The bike trails were well maintained and routes well marked which enabled us to enjoy the amazing scenery each day. The staff on Vivienne was incredible.
Two complaints were the e-bikes were very heavy
and there were no water bottle holders on the regular bikes.

Staff were great and worked very hard for all of us during the week. Unfortunately strong winds kept us docked for a day so we lost a day riding north as planned and caused other changes in the itinerary which apparently is not common but can happen. Food was very good and enjoyable to meet others from other countries during social hours.

We have taken other bike trips; however this experience was the most fun and memorable! Georgio our guide, his knowledge of the area was amazing. He packed in as much or less as our group wanted. His dry humor was really fun to be around. We miss him already! The food, amazing! Sara was our chef; the meals were perfect. The care she takes, and what she can put out in a 12 hour day is crazy. A fresh baked tart every morning, fruits, cheeses, meats, homemade granolas and yogurt. The deserts each night, were so....good! Sarita was the house manager. It being her first week, she did an outstanding job! The entire team acted as if they had been working together for years. We felt so lucky that we had such a great crew. Because it is a small group of 20 guests, you become friends fast. Each night a couple of guests would stand up and roast some of the other guests, it was so fun! We sang songs and played games after dinner every night. It was like summer camp for adults, a big sleep over. We will definitely be booking another trip!
