the whole experience was great. The barge was lovely. The Captain and Mrs. were very welcoming. the tour guide was fantastic. Also a wonderer group of people.

The owners and crew of the Merlijn were fantastic!! The ship its self was immaculate, rooms extremely comfortable and can’t say enough about the meals cooked by Christina, one of the owners. The e-bikes made the days ride very easy and having the state of art helmets with microphone to hear our guide was a nice touch. You didn’t feel like you missed out on what the guide was saying if you weren’t at the front of the group. And I can’t say enough about our guide Hetty. She was very personable, knew the area and history well and went out of her way to ensure we all enjoyed the tour. I would definitely travel with this ship again!!

The trip was terrific!! We were on the IRIS that is 150% better than our last boat. The crew was terrific, the bike leaders were awesome and I believe they were so important in making the trip such a success. Of the 7 days of riding 1 day was totally in the rain and it was great, not that I wanted to get wet but the bike leqders were so prepared and positive. The other folks on the boat were terrific. And the flowers....mind boggling to say the least. I cannot recommend this trip strongly enough. The cabins were super clean, the showers were great (never ran out of hot water) and the food was good.

The weather in. Amsterdam was very cooperative . The boat crew and the bike tour leaders were all incredibly helpful and congenial. I was excited about seeing the tulips in April in Amsterdam at the Kooken, and I was not disappointed! I will definitely do another bike tour in the future.

Loved the route, the food, the hospitality. We could be busy in the evening or be lazy. We were asked our opinion on the day's events.
One thing I might include from the guides is a few riding lessons on how to use an ebike. How to start from a stop. How to change gears. As a rider, I was doing that for all the inexperienced riders, but wondered if it was my place to do so.

The staff were very aware that people arrived with different skill levels and expectations and were able to accommodate everyone. They were flexible enough as things were not always predictable. Thomas was especially good at his job-very knowledgeable and a fountain of information on the Netherlands, especially any stops we made.

The weather was perfect and the tulip day was beautiful. The E bikes were very easy to use and safer than the model I have been using at home. The guides were kind and considerate of everyone in the group. I appreciated that the route, etc. was modified according to the level of the participants. I’m sure others appreciated that they could do some rides self guided. I appreciated that I could pay extra and be assured of a gluten-free diet. I could not have managed the trip without that. The staff were all professional and congenial. I noticed that they worked very hard to keep the ship clean and working well..

Great bike trip! Favorite city was middleberg! Be sure to enjoy the cheese in Gouda.

Cycling through the Netherlands with our wonderful guides was a great way to enjoy such a beautiful countryside. It was so nice each day to return to the Iris, welcomed aboard by an amazing crew followed by a delicious dinner each evening.

My husband & I had a fabulous bike & barge trip visiting the Netherlands. We enjoyed beautiful trails, amazing picturesque scenery and outstanding hospitality we experienced during our tour of the of the Netherlands. The Keukenhof was magnificent & definitely did not disappoint with its endless array of tulip & flower varieties. Just fabulous! My husband describes it as the "Disneyland of Tulips". We enjoyed creating new friendships with our fellow biking companions on the Iris. This was our third and I'd say our best bike & barge experience. I credit this extraordinary experience with not only the hard working staff of the Iris but with our superstar biking guides, Hetty & Maaike. These ladies are incredible! They set the tone and pace for the entire group & in doing so, created an environment of community versus competition. What a difference this made! Instead of regular biking folks trying to continuous keep up with the electric bikers, they were able to enjoy their biking day. We absolutely recommend biking & barging as it is the very best way to see and experience a country!
#1 tip: bring rain gear, waterproof, not water resistant a very important distinction! If it rains, as it did for us, being dry & staying dry is essential for your comfort! #2: don't over pack! Biking groups tend to dress very casually.

Beautiful countryside, saw so much beauty and the staff on the boat were lovely snd made us very comfortable.

Everything about our trip was fantastic. The bikes were brand new. The crew as superb. The food was excellent. The boat was delightful. Our fellow trip participants were a delight. We are so glad we chose to go on this trip.

Very well organized. Friendly and attentive staff. My brother and I had such a great time. The weather was mostly great, and even when it rained on us, it didn't matter. We were weather-proofed and active, so kept warm. We got a little tired mid-week, after doing 40 mile rides, so were thinking that planning an easier day mid-week or doing something else off-bike would help with the muscle recovery. We rode regular bikes, so the e-bike people may not have the same comment. You are always welcome to stay on the boat or do the shorter routes, but we wanted to see it all!

One inconvenience with the trip is when you could and couldn't use credit cards on the boat. It was inconsistent. We found ourselves short of Euros because they wouldn't accept credit cards when my brother wanted to rent an e-bike for a couple days . . . but you could use your credit card to buy drink cards! Go figure.

Loved every day of the bike rides, especially through natural areas including the tulip and hyacinth fields, the dunes, wooded areas, and of course to Keukenhof Gardens

The boat, guides, bikes, and routes of the trip were awesome! I certainly did not want the riding to end. If I had to pick anything that I would change it would be that the food was a little "lite". When I am riding up to 35 miles a day, I need something a little more substantial for breakfast and dinner.
Joan and Betina were amazing and went above and beyond the whole trip.

The staff on board our barge/boat were wonderful. Hard-working, accommodating and very friendly and tending to all our needs.

Great experience and crew made our stay amazing! The rooms were larger than expected and meals were great.

The barge (Magnifique IV) was so clean and felt very new. The rooms snd common space were great. We had a suite which had 2 double beds pushed together, a small sitting area and a nice bathroom. The food was excellent and the bike riding was easy or hard depending on if you put the e bike on. I recommend an e-bike because the regular bike is the same without the battery. Our guides were really informative and took us through beautiful countryside. We loved the trip.

As with any trip of this type, the people make all the difference. The crew of the Magnifique IV were fantastic. The bike guides were all that we could have hoped for. Hans and Thomas guided us masterfully. We had a good comfortable pace, they were knowledgeable, fun, patient, protective, professional and happy. Boat crew was on point. The food was excellent and the boat was first class nice. Everything was 5 star good. The sights were well chosen and really interesting. Tulips were amazing. Keukenhof was my highlight followed closely by the incredible flower market auction area. Loved biking through the neat as a pin small towns and the beautiful countryside.

Of course the tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths were beautiful and we picked a good time to go. We had good sunny weather, we were lucky with that. The Keukenhof gardens were well worth the stop. Our group of 8 were very impressed with the food and the staff were great.

This was a fantastic trip. The crew was excellent, the food was truly gourmet and the bike rides and guides made every day a fun adventure. I would recommend to anyone.

Our chef Peter was AMAZING, as well as the entire crew! Never have I been on a tour with such an incredible delightful crew so willing to assist. WOW!

Everything was, well, just perfect! The schooner was so clean, and the Captain was a true joy to be around. All of the crew bent over backwards to please and make sure that I had the grandest time ever. And believe me, I did! My biking adventure came to life with Tom and Hilda at the lead. Such a memorable trip!

Loved it all! The crew was wonderful, food excellent, biking experience great, overall would highly recommend. Other than the cold weather I wouldn’t change a thing.
Only suggestion- a little better communication on the rides. Sometimes difficult to hear & see.

The Merljin is a beautiful and classy barge. The staff are first rate and the food very special. Our guide Tammy was superb and the other members of our group all terrific. This goes down as a "one of best" vacations ever. We learned so much about the Netherlands, the culture, history, and resources. And, of course the flowers along the way were amazing!

Our experience on the Merlijn was outstanding! Captain Coen and chef Cristina own the boat, and their pride of ownership made this our favorite (of three) Tripsite bike and boat vacations. They made us feel like we were guests in their home. (It is their home, actually). The high quality bikes, remodeled cabins, and delicious meals had our group of 24 guests singing their praises. We had wonderful rides through towns, neighborhoods, past windmills and farms. The crescendo was seeing the vast fields of flowers and the famous Keukenhof Gardens. I just can’t say enough about this amazing trip.

We had a wonderful time on this tour ,everthing went very smoothly the bikes were excellent but throughout our tour every aspect had been
carefully planned and orchestrated. We can highly recommend this spectacular introduction to Holland and many thanks to the owner who made us feel so cared for.
