Both my husband and myself were very impressed with the Andela Lora, her crew, the guides, the route and the food were all just exceptional. We have been on several bike and barge/boat trips and we both agree this trip definitely rates high in our books! The guides, Kristopher and Dominic, worked well together and everyone felt safe with clear instructions and kept the guests well informed regarding route changes and updates. The ability to download the route on our cell phones even added further clarity to what each day would be like. Thank you to all who was involved on making this trip so wonderful. Of note, the scenery is just breathtaking too!

we only went to Obidos, but part of me wishes we would have done the longer tour to Lisbon!
i loved the route, and the variety of terrain on the route! The Garmin made it easy to not get lost! We loved seeing the Atlantic Ocean so much. we loved the towns... and Obidos being a walled city was something new and different too!
the terrain changed as we headed south.. that was nice. We also had perfect weather and a tailwind every day! we saw other bikers going from South to North and said they had headwinds every day! We loved the town of Costa Nova! we only passed through, but i wish we would have spent more time there!

Nice and easy 26-35 mile rides daily following by a 3-5 miles walking tour in the towns. The half board breakfast and dinners are delicious and the French chateaus and cathedrals are magnificent! The only issue is the bikes are too big for us the short people, and the heavy steel frame gave me a few bruises.

Great cycling trip and highly recommended!

A fantastic trip from one great city to another. The route was extremely well planned, making use of the vast network of cycleways in both countries (putting the UK to shame!). Although the surface quality was generally very good there some rough sections where the hybrid or gravel bikes came into their own. If you are used to a road style bike with drop handle bars I would definitely opt for the gravel bike as the best overall option as it handled the off-road sections well but was faster and lighter on good surfaces and hills.
The route is well planned to select interesting and historic towns for the overnight stops with the hotels always being close to the centres. A highlight is the quality of the support provided by both Tripsite beforehand and the guides during the tour. Lukas gave us a very detailed introduction and was always in touch throughout the journey to make sure everything was going well. The Tripsite App gave us lots of very useful information and the gps files made route following a breeze.

The beautiful scenery we biked through was unexpected and made the biking very enjoyable. And, of course the many animal sightings during our game drives. It was so amazing to be in the presence of such beautiful animals roaming free in the savanna. Along the way we were treated to some amazing places, hikes, and tours. Our guides took such great care of us and spoiled us w some delicious meals! Overall I’d say this tour was definitely a WINNER!

We were with the biking group of 20 plus three guides so our time on the boat was a bit limited (meals and sleeping mainly). The boat was enjoyable, clean, a positive vibe throughout the week. The cabins were spacious enough and well designed for storage. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and seemed to work together well.

Our biking guides were absolutely excellent, both at individuals as well as with their communications and coordination. We will consider another trip with them in the future.

One morning after walking for over an hour, a man out pruning his hedges invited us in for a cup of tea. It was delightful. We met some of the nicest people, from all over the globe on this trip. The scenery was stunningly beautiful. We don't always find the hiking "easy", but if a pair of 70 year olds can do it, it would certainly be easy for the younger ones. We like to walk independently, and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude of nature. Our drivers were delightful, and became our friends.

It’s challenging to pinpoint only one favorite. Overall: the floral fragrances, the reflections of pastel painted homes in the river, the stark contrast between fields of flowers and wheat vs cavernous mountains.

This family run adventure is the perfect way to explore the Aeolian Islands. The Sundail ship provides an intimate atmosphere to interact with the other guests during your week adventure.

The ride was enjoyable. Easy to follow instructions and GPS. The hotels were very comfortable. My favorite was staying in the hotel that used to be a monastery. Thermal baths nearby, cute town and wonderful people. Even though we had some rain, to be expected in spring, the flowers were in bloom. Especially the red poppy's. The boat ride into Budapest gave you a wonderful panorama of thee city. Great trip overall

The crew were amazing! It was wonderful watching them as a well oiled team and they were always cheerful. Fabulous food, the ship was spotless and the guides were informative.

Budapest was the best city we visited during this tour. The room and food were great. The staff on the boat were very helpful and nice. The only thing I would recommend would be better bike route maps. The ones they give during the nightly presentation are not very accurate or detailed.

The diversity of the islands from one to another. Each was uniquely beautiful and different. Also the sailing between the islands was wonderful and so relaxing.

I loved the tour!! The landscapes are beautiful and the road was good and not very busy.
I had some problems with construction on the way and had to make some deviations from the GPS route, but nothing that I couldn't easily manage.
The team was super punctual with the delivery of the bikes and the delivery of the bags too!
I recommend this tour to everyone!!

Our biking group was treated so well from the time we stepped on the the boat until we left. Even though we were on a cruise with other travelers who were not biking, most of them from Germany, we were kept separate, even dining in an adjoining room. Our tour guide, Jeremy, was fantastic and made sure we understood each day's biking plans, staying in touch on WhatsApp with any changes, including the weather forecast. There was a nice balance between riding and relaxing on the boat.
The e-bikes we used were so comfortable to ride. The bike paths were mostly on flat trails or on designated bike paths on the road. No matter where we rode, Jeremy made sure we stayed together. He and his partner, Sonne, worked extremely well as a team and we were so impressed with their ability to plan ahead to provide us with incredible lunches, including wines and cheeses and desserts!
We have been on 13 biking trips through Tripsite and this was one of our favorites.

Very well organised. Trails were super well signed, every little turn well indicated. Quiet bike trails along the river. The hotels were excellent and the pre-tour meeting with the organizers very useful. Highly recommend.

How our guide, Ronald, guided us into new discoveries each day, how he added info and history on special places, and how he kept us all on the road together.

The scenery was beautiful. Our guides, Horacio, Fabian and Sinan, without a doubt made this trip so memorable. They were so prepared everyday with our bikes ready to go, the planned rides with so much wonderful history and funny stories along the way. We had a delicious lunch prepared 1 on a lovely hillside one of the days! They looked out for our safety while making it fun. The boat was nice and clean and the food was very good.

Boat experience was excellent but the surprise was the cycling experience … beautiful vista views with spring wildflowers in bloom … just stunning. And our tour guides were fabulous … couldn’t think of a single negative about the trip. Highly recommend!

The beautiful landscape and communities we road through as well as expert guides. The crew of the Iris and the amenities were amazing also.

My wife and I rented e-bikes for the trip which allowed us more time to enjoy the sights and restaurants along the way! The routes chosen for us were perfect and navigation was easy with the information and GPS tracks provided through Tripsite. One highlight was the scenery as it transitioned though cities, pastoral country-side and the beaches of the Netherlands. Another highlight included the many people we chatted with along the cycle paths or at picnic tables as we ate our lunch/snacks - it's amazing what we had in common with the people we met along the way! Biking is definitely an adventure we will do again.

The biking! Be prepared for a quick visit to Budapest and Vienna. More time is needed at these stunning world class cities!

This trip was fantastic. The bikes were top notch and the luggage transfer went perfectly. We enjoyed the scenery and the out of the way routes, although some of the trails could have used grass trimming.

Our Skipper Willie is amazing! Watching her maneuver our large schooner into tight spaces was remarkable. She was also excellent informing us about conditions, explaining the dam, etc. On the other hand, she was very sensitive to the needs of her crew and willing to help do anything when needed.

I most appreciated the small group experience. there were only 18 on our tour and it was perfect. Our group of 6 booked a year ago so we could get a spot on the Vita Pugna and I was very happy with it. I cannot imagine have a group bigger group, perhaps 30 and I think that would have slowed down our progress on the bikes immensely. This size group I felt like we all had the opportunity to meet others, enjoy the company of different people each meal, but also got to know them a little bit. I was also very happy with the support and service of all of the staff (Capt Bugie, Silvia, Michael and Hugo)

Great staff, incredible food, comfortable boat, and a great tour with fun and memorable stops such as glass factory, cheese factory, grappa wine tasting, and a carousel tour - so much fun with a great group of people!

The beautiful scenery along the bike route was one of the highlights of this trip. We enjoyed pedaling through grapevine covered fields, seeing all the blooming red poppies, visiting the Monet exhibit in the old quarry, touring Arles, seeing the Pont du Gard, wine tasting and cruising into Avignon. The crew was great. And Michela our tour guide was truly one of the best we’ve ever had.

The Merlijn is a beautiful boat, very clean and up to date. The bikes are brand new, easy to use. The food was wonderful and the staff so friendly and attentive. I don't have anything negative to say about this experience, it was so much fun.

It would be hard to pin point the best part of the tour in general. Italy is amazing. If food is at the top of your list, you will not be disappointed. We ate our way through our tour. The food is delicious! The tour itself is lovely and the accommodations chosen for us were perfect. The Italians are a genial, hospitable people. We were also treated to an incredible cooking class at Tenuta DonnaAnna. We made lunch with pasta, desert and then dined with the family. We all agreed that this was the high point of our tour. Go for the history, the beauty, the food and local wines…..all fabulous.

The only this that we all agreed on was the difficulty level of the riding which was Easy to Moderate. We are all fit and capable riders and the days’ riding was long and a couple of the days were very hilly….long, long hills Definitely daunting for someone that is not conditioned to riding. Moderate would be more appropriate.
