· Matera to Lecce
Our guide, Cenzo was the most memorable part of our trip. His friendly, personable & humorous nature added to the wealth of cultural, historical, horticultural and geological information he shared with us. He was earnest and always ready to solve anything that came up.
Rocco also was a joy to be with, always taking care of any issues we had during our travels, giving advice regarding restaurants, and other sites to see.

- How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
- Salento Bici Tours did an excellent job and we were very happy with them. I cycled an e-bike so was able to do the trip just fine. However, your advance info said there often were 3 different length rides one could choose. That was not the case. Only one ride was available which was fine for me. But if you were counting on shorter trips that would have been a problem. I think Tripsite should get more details for their customers such as when meals were included and when not so you could make a reservation perhaps.

· Aschaffenburg to Bamberg
The trip was a great experience - the daily rides, boat, and the staff were outstanding. This itinerary was not our first choice, we really didn't know what to expect, and we were delighted with how it turned out. The boat was surprisingly nice, and it was a "step up" from the boat/bike trip we did two years ago.

· Highlights of Dalmatia E-Bike & Boat
Most memorable were the people we met and shared the bike and boat with. The guides, Mirta and Tara made every ride very special. The captain, the cooks and the rest of the crew welcomed us and made our trip special. The scenery on the islands, the swims in the sea and the outstanding meals were top notch. We thank each of them for all the hard work, from loading and unloading bikes, navigating the waters, cleaning, cooking, bar service and fun and laughter...

· Venice to Florence
The easy beautiful long rides through the country side and the GPS.
Didn’t actually stay in Venice, which was odd, no gondolas …
Very few water stops and very few places to find food between 12-5.

rain otherwise ok.
cabin is n the boat . even after several requests the AC was not fixed . it was very uncomfortable. I was actually berated that I opened the sliding doors in order to try to get some cooler air inside. in retrospect I should have taken my pillow and sleep in the lobby.

The only worry in the world we had was where to stop for a coffee or lunch. The hotels that were arranged were beautiful and the historic towns we stayed in were really fun to visit.

· Amsterdam to Bruges - 11 days
Imagine cycling along dykes and rivers and canals in the softest light of the morning and seeing on the horizon 19 windmills! That's what happened on the ninth day of our Barge and Bike Tour. We cycled past 19 historical windmills at Kinderdyke. That was how I dreamt cycling in Holland would be. Just magical.
Every now and again you would glimpse through the reeds and rushes, water fowl and swans. and if you were lucky enough to be there just at the right movement, you would see the cygnets climb onto the backs of the mamma swans to have a ride. All that there amongst the fairytale windmills.

Cycling is a fantastic way to see a country. This was my first cycling tour and I would definitely do another one. You don’t need to be an avid cyclist when using an electric bike you can get as much or as little exercise as you like.
Juli was our guide and he was fantastic. He was energetic fun fair and always going the extra mile
If you could get him as a guide it would be great trip. In addition the food was varied and delicious. I would recommend this trip.

We had a wonderful week on the Panagiota it was a great experience on a more traditional boat. The guides and crew went above and beyond making sure everything ran smoothly. The bikes were great we opted for electric as there's many hills/mountains. We were blessed with beautiful weather and the island stops and swimming off the boat were magic and we wouldn't hesitate in doing a similar trip.

· Danube Bike Path - Passau to Vienna
The scenery biking across Austria was spectacular. We were on the self-guided bike tour (Passau to Vienna) so tripsite was responsible for booking our hotels, reserving our e-bikes and working with a local vendor to transport our luggage from hotel to hotel. All the hotels were terrific except the hotel in Vienna (where we assume it was difficult to find lodging for five there at reasonable cost, so we understand). The e-bikes worked great. The route was entirely flat along the Danube, but e-bikes still helped (distances were sometimes nearly 70 kilometers per day), especially for our eleven year-old daughter. Directions from the maps and iphone app provided were excellent. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. We continued on to Bratislava and Budapest via train after the bike tour ended. Would highly recommend tripsite and this tour for families interested in visiting central Europe.

· Bike & Sail Holland’s UNESCO Wadden Sea & IJsselmeer
A more relaxing and natural side of the Netherlands. A nice balance of biking and sightseeing (Ecomare, Shipwreck and Beachcombing museum, Frisian ice skating museum, oldest, operating planetarium). I really enjoyed wandering the canals and streets of Harlingen. Tripsite staff and the boat crew were very good - as always!

The guides were excellent and it was fun when they interacted with us. The entire staff were professional not to mention talented - all were very personable and could not do enough for you. The meals were exceptional!!!! It was fun when guides would add in some things on our rides, like the man who Has created different bikes that we all could try. We were fortunate to have people who interacted! Thank you for a great trip.

I ticked the bucket list of cycling in the rain - lol. The weather was less than ideal, so that was a bummer, but the biking lanes and scenery were fabulous, along with the quaint villages and squares. The food on board was absolutely amazing - kudos to Rutger. The crew Jolien and Daniel were awesome; our cabins and the ship were always pristine; they made excellent drinks and were so friendly and helpful. Our guides were superb - great at making sure every one was comfortable on their bikes and getting us where we had to be and they had so much knowledge of the history of every single place we visited and cycled by. Our captains Andres and Matthias did a great job sailing the Magnifique 1 with help from the sailor Jowel. What really struck me is that everyone worked as a team all pitching in to load bikes, set the tables, do the cleaning, cook the food, secure the barge . . . It made for a very welcoming, cozy atmosphere on board and by the end we were all sad to go home.

· Amsterdam to Bruges - 11 days
This was our first bike and barge experience, yet we had heard many descriptions from friends. We went with excitement and high expectations. And from the moment we were greeted and introduced the boat the Accommodations, pleasantness and service level of the Merlijn crew exceeded every expectation we had by far! Our guide Francine was also superb. Her local knowledge, skill and experience made the ride safe and extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend this boat and crew.

Although we enjoyed beautiful weather and wonderful crew , the ship was very uncomfortable - with small berths and horrible bedding . Out of 30 occupants 10 had norivirus and there was not enough cleaning supplies to disinfect and keep everyone healthy . This was our third trip with you and our least favorite .

· Umbria - Gastronomy Bike Tour
The riding was fairly easy except for the last part of the day when we had to ride up some steep hills. We definitely appreciated the hotels that had a swimming pool. The food experiences were amazing--fun and tasty! We were not aware we would have a picnic after the wine tasting so that was a necessary surprise.
I think we might have paid for an upgraded room (junior suite?) as that was all that was available. It was more of a triple with a very tiny single bed. If that was in Torgiano, then that was not worth it. That room was the something found more in a two star hotel. Not well decorated, no view or patio.

· Along the Danube - Four Country Tour
Overall great trip. Shout out to Cruise Director Leslie who was wonderful.
Recommendation:
1. Food: Fish entrees & apps weren't very good. Try better please & consider serving more chicken (breast) or turkey (white meat).
2. Coffee served w meals was not good. Thank God for the free coffee from coffee machine!!! Also PLEASE offer CREAM w coffee, not milk.
3. At the very end of the cruise when you introduce the members of the crew. Please tell us a little bit about each one… Where they're from how long they've been with the company, anything else personally interesting. It would be very interesting to us customers & it will really validate the crew. They did a wonderful job and deserve better recognition!
4. Out on the wheels fell off yesterday the very first day, please offer a short tutorial on how to use an E bike. Some of us were new to E bikes and it was hard to learn it when we were trying to jump on our bikes and keep up with everyone. It was a bit of a madhouse!
5. Really loved the daily briefings of the routes we would be taking the next day. Maybe provide a daily handout to summarize the talking points. Some of the routes were a bit confusing, and a handout would really REALLY help.
6. Would have really loved a little more time and some of the smaller (& bigger) towns such as Krems & Bratislava. And was not impressed with Vienna, it was big kind of dirty, a bit overwhelming. Would've liked to overnight in one of the other cities instead. I did speak to other passengers and three other women said they didn't think much of Vienna.
I THINK THOSE ARE THE BIGGIES FOR ME. I LOVED THE DAILY COFFEE HOUR WITH THE DELICIOUS CAKES. I LOVED THE COFFEE MACHINE IN THE COMMON ROOM! I LOVE THE PARTIES.
ALSO, AT FIRST I WAS A LITTLE PUT OFF BY ASSIGNED TABLES AND SEATS… BUT AFTER WHILE I GOT USED TO IT. IF OTHER PASSENGERS DID NOT LIKE THAT, I WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET WORTHWHILE INPUT FROM PASSENGERS ON WAYS TO IMPROVE ON THAT.
THAT'S IT GUYS, GREAT JOB OVERALL! BRAVO TO THE CREW!

· Highlights of Dalmatia E-Bike & Boat
This was a trip of a lifetime. I felt like a princess on the Bellezza. The crew made sure we had everything we needed and our guides, Nikki and Kristopher were awesome! They took great care of us on the bike rides. The E-bike is a game changer. I am a cyclist but would not have enjoyed the steep grades that went on for miles. But the e-bike made it easy and the views on the routes were amazing! The food on the boat was delicious and plentiful! We stopped a few times for a swim and that was refreshing and a highlight! I would definitely recommend this trip and I am already planning another trip, possibly in Croatia because it is a beautiful country.

- How did the difficulty level compare to your expectations?
- I knew the ride would be hard, but I didn't realize the steep grades would last as long they did. There were steep grades of 6 miles or more, but no problem with the e-bike. I did use the turbo mode occasionally but never came close to using up my battery.

Great first experience with a bike and barge tour. Excellent guides and barge crew. Biking distances and terrain was very manageable on e-bikes, even for those with only moderate biking experience. Personally I would have preferred a self guided tour, but now I know for our next trip.

Sailing and cycling the Greek islands was really incredible - I didn’t want to leave! I was really impressed with Running On Waves. The crew was amazing and I loved that the meals were served buffet style. The food was great and always a variety of selection. Definitely take some extra time in Athens if you can, it is a great city to explore.
